As the saying goes: "He who grasps at too much holds nothing fast!" Here's a concrete example: managing two hotel-restaurants located about ten kilometers apart (and, apparently, also being called away to another location for a third activity) obviously poses a problem as soon as an employee is unexpectedly absent. The result: all the doors of the Flaran hotel are closed, and therefore no one is on the premises. Only a small sign posted on a door (which another customer, as astonished as we were, had just discovered) indicated a phone number to call to "continue the treasure hunt." Bad news: the restaurant wouldn't open, and to have dinner, we had to get back in the car and go to the other location—hardly pleasant after a full day on the road, especially considering returning to Flaran after dinner, which meant driving at night... and never mind if the driver doesn't have good night vision! Apparently, the same conundrums awaited the next day's guests! This haphazard organization prevented us from truly enjoying our evening, even though the room and the entire establishment were spotless, nor from fully appreciating the rather bland meal served at the other location we were forced to visit. We would, however, like to express our gratitude for the smiles and efficiency of the only two people (a small number indeed) we encountered during this entire leg of our journey: one in Larressingle for dinner and the other in Flaran for breakfast.
We were surprised not to be greeted upon arrival. However, we had very good contact by phone and with the person in charge of breakfast and check-out.

The staff are charming and very pleasant, from the dinner waiter to the breakfast waitress. They are young yet very professional. Our only regret was having to call upon arrival, as reception wasn't yet open even though we were within the indicated time frame. However, our room was ready, and we received excellent directions over the phone. The hotel is well located for visiting Flaran Abbey, Condom, and the surrounding area. It's near a busy road, but thanks to the double glazing, we weren't bothered by traffic noise. The soundproofing in the rooms isn't great, but this is probably due to the fact that it's an old building that has been renovated. It's therefore difficult to combine the charm of the old with all the comforts of modern construction. You absolutely must try the homemade cakes at breakfast: the brownie is divine! We appreciated the fact that the menu was based on local produce and the restaurant's honesty in stating that the apple tart wasn't homemade (and it was excellent). Perhaps using cloth tablecloths would make the dining room feel warmer. But it's true that this would create extra work...

I don't remember why I came to this place the first time, but I know why I keep coming back. The manager is very friendly and professional, the staff is very kind and attentive, the rooms are incredibly comfortable and clean, and the restaurant is absolutely divine. That's why I go there whenever I can.

Friendly welcome. Easy access to secure storage for our electric bikes. Small but pleasantly furnished room. Lighting issue in the bathroom. Good breakfast and dinner.
The hotel is located near a busy road. We had to sleep with the shutters and windows closed. The walls between the rooms aren't soundproofed, which is very annoying if your neighbor is watching TV a little too loudly. There's a desk, but no chair for writing.
The only negative point is the swimming pool, which is not very well maintained.

No one was there to greet us upon arrival... it felt like a closed hotel... We had to call another hotel's number to finally get a code, enter through a back door, and then find the room keys on each door. We felt like we'd arrived at an Airbnb with self check-in. The room was very nice, well-decorated, and the bed was comfortable, BUT the air conditioning was leaking, so there was a constant dripping noise all night long—it was maddening! The staff was unwelcoming! (Except for the very pleasant young woman we saw for three minutes at the breakfast desk.) Luckily, the hotel itself is lovely and charming, and the breakfast is good...
Good experience. The first downside was the restaurant where the fish was undercooked; we reported it, but no one came to see us. We think that one person serving the restaurant is a bit short for 30 meals. A second downside: we had our room right next to the door leading outside. We were woken up twice by people coming in or going out. This door is very noisy. We have to rely on the kindness of customers and that is not enough.

Still good but pay attention to the details: a bedroom shutter that doesn't close because of the vegetation, an outside bin ready to collapse, a broken flower pot right at the entrance, the edges of the swimming pool very black.... Little things that undermine a comfortable establishment and one to which I would like to remain loyal.

This is a hotel I've been staying at on business trips since 2023. I'm always completely satisfied with the services, the setting, and the friendliness of the staff. That's why I come back whenever the opportunity arises. Access is easy and the hotel is close to the D930, which allows for quick and easy entry and exit. I recommend it.

We arrived after a long journey and whole hotel was locked up. A note on the door to phone a number, pleasant girl arrived by car a few minutes later, it was 6.30pm.
Two waitresses sloppily dressed in shorts and tracksuit bottoms. Quite pleasant but when I stayed many years ago, Madame would not have been happy to see such sloppiness.
Came down for a drink, no one serving, had to find one the girls, OKehen there but all sloppy.
