Like last year, my son and I spent a night at the Logis Hôtel la Chaumière to get to the Glières plateau quickly and participate in the famous marathon! We received a warm welcome, the staff were pleasant, and we were able to enjoy a breakfast tray prepared before service time so we could leave early! Thank you! The evening meal was also excellent. See you next year perhaps, or this summer! Gilles
Very noisy room, late evening music followed by music late into the night. Breakfast without coffee, orange juice served in very small quantities.
The hotel had a disappointing welcome on arrival and no welcome at all on departure. It was impossible to use Logis de France gift vouchers. At breakfast (which was pathetic, with very little choice and rotten fruit), we saw no one, and when we left, no one was there either. We really felt like we were bothering the owner. There was no information in the room about rates, evacuation procedures, or anything else.
This is the third time we've stayed at this hotel. Each time we've been satisfied, with one small drawback this time: the bed saggied a bit and the shower was more than lukewarm this morning… But the welcome is warm and the atmosphere pleasant.
Excellent value for money
There were few staff at this time of year. No staff were present at breakfast!
We will have to think about soundproofing the rooms, you can hear everything, very old-fashioned room, no sockets in the bathroom, only 1 light bulb present despite 2 light fixtures, in short, 87 euros per room is much too expensive, only the bedding is correct
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, the soundproofing was poor. Breakfast, while reasonably priced, was unworthy of a Logis de France hotel. There were large slices of day-old bread and no toaster. There was absolutely no regular black tea! (Only herbal teas and flavored teas were offered, and only after insisting.) The staff was unfriendly. There were no plates (only small saucers). We had to ask for forks for the charcuterie and cheese, which were quite ordinary: you wouldn't think you were in the Savoie region! The mini pastries were clearly defrosted.
What we liked: Friendly staff (apart from the slightly overwhelmed lady at breakfast, perhaps), excellent food, comfortable beds. What we didn't like: The breakfast. We were given strange looks because we supposedly sat at the wrong table ("This is for restaurant guests"), the coffee machine was broken, and there was hardly any choice. No breakfast egg, a baguette from the day before, carelessly placed on the table. This could be much better! And the Wi-Fi on the second floor also needs to be fixed.
The room was not the one I booked... less than a hostel... the breakfast room was nice... the staff only spoke French and were not very welcoming... overall, I wouldn't return...
Hello We had booked for Saturday evening to attend a wedding at 3 p.m. We arrived at noon, so we had our meal at the restaurant, the waitresses are very friendly and professional. After the meal, they allowed us to take possession of the room even though the check-in time is 5:30 p.m., which is super friendly and kind. Otherwise everything is very good. Missing air conditioning
Catastrophic, dirty, flies everywhere, no air conditioning or fans in the rooms, dusty, no soundproofing so you can hear all the outside noises, especially from the people in the restaurant, impossible to sleep (heat, noise...)

Very warm welcome....clean room...but a fan during heatwaves would really be a plus......decent hotel but for the price you could expect better......the plus is the restaurant which is truly excellent....

Clean room but without charm, we had room n*30 which is above the terrace of the hotel restaurant and overlooks a busy road, noise late at night + noise from the road, because of the heat you had to leave the window open (no air conditioning or fan) in addition the shutters are open and do not allow you to be in the dark, price of the room too expensive compared to the comfort available. (breakfast at 8€ good) Nice restaurant, good and correct in price
The only criticism I could make is to improve the sound insulation from the outside. Otherwise, the performance is good.
Super bien
We appreciated that the hotel was able to offer us early check-in as we were on a wedding trip, and the quality of the bedding. However, the room is very rustic, not to mention the bathroom and the truly ridiculous size of the shower stall. We were woken up at 7am by noises within the hotel (terribly lacking in soundproofing), one towel for 2, no amenities in the room, with hangers that seem as old as the wallpaper. The value for money is not there, we really struggled to meet staff at check-in and check-out.
Perfect, all the ingredients are there: friendliness, professionalism and quality.
