I go to La Breche several times each year because of the excellence of its food and wine and for the warmth and efficiency of the staff.
Stunning
Lovely room. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Dinner and breakfast very very good. Amazing choice for breakfast - lots of local products. I would love to return in the summer to enjoy the garden. Town is really interesting - lots to see and do.

Good hotel, but the reception wasn't friendly enough.
Sunday breakfast consisted of items that weren't fresh (the croissant and pain au chocolat were definitely past their prime), but the staff was very friendly. The parking lot isn't accessible for room reservations as it's full with those only coming for dinner; it would be helpful to reserve spaces for overnight guests. The room itself is comfortable and has a lovely vintage feel.
I try to come to this superb establishment as often as possible. It's a real pleasure every time. The room was heated before our arrival, which is increasingly rare due to energy costs. I slept very well, and the meal was delicious. I enjoyed the variety of fresh, homemade products at breakfast. It's so nice to have fresh, high-quality bread. The welcome and the staff are very pleasant. I can't wait to return to Amboise.

What a beautiful establishment, I came for the second time, I appreciate the quality of the welcome, the calm, the maintenance. The restaurant is very good, the quality of the dishes, pleasant service. The menu for the evening stopover is of very good quality. The breakfast is also very generous, with local products, made by the restaurant. I will come back as often as possible. The Château d'Amboise is beautiful during the day and also at night. I recommend

The one downside was that the menu was limited. Lacked vegetarian options and was expensive.
We really wanted to eat there but considered all the above and had to go elsewhere in town.

Fabulous hotel, this is our 4th visit and we planned our entire trip to France around our stay here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming - it feels like coming home. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The restaurant is absolutely outstanding, both for breakfast and dinner. We can't wait to come back!

We loved our stay at Hotel la Breche. Isabelle was really helpful beforehand booking us a table for dinner on the Fri of our stay, it was delightful, we ate in the garden and it was a wonderful start to our holiday. The hotel is a little distance from the centre of Amboise, but it is peaceful and quiet and we appreciated the secure parking and also the EV charging though we did not need to use it on this occasion. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed.

We were travelers from the U.S. First time to stay in this hotel. We chose it thru a Google search. Its reality matched the photos, which is always nice. The junior suite was spacious and comfortable. Ours had an extra single bed in it, along with a sofa and a desk and an entry settee. The bathroom was the rounded enclosure/stand-alone shower type with an open/shut door. Not as luxurious as a tiled shower, but we were thankful to have a stand-alone shower and not a tub! Although there was no vanity space, there was a stand-alone four layer shelf, so that was helpful for placing your toiletries. The amenities of individual lotion and vanity kit/shaving kit/shower cap was very nice to have, and something neither of our two previous hotels on our trip had. I LOVED finding that they provided these things...such a nice touch. The only negative thing I can say about the bathroom was that they (along with the other two hotels we stayed in) provided communal shampoo in the shower, and the product was the one that combines shampoo and body wash. I personally do not like to use body wash for my hair, preferring there be two separate products. I would ideally prefer individual shampoo and body wash or soap.
The bed and linens were comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. The only negative I would say about the room itself was the decor...it was like something from the era of the U.S. 60s...not at all french charming as one would hope in a french hotel. It felt dated and dark. If they changed that, this room would be top-notch!
The reception was perfectly hospitable! Very nice and they spoke English.
Although this hotel is not in Amboise proper, we could have walked to the downtown portion if we'd chosen to, crossing over two bridges. The hotel's secure and free parking was very nice to have!!
We didn't utilize the gardens, but they made for a lovely setting.

Very good, comfortable private parking. The only downside is the price of the dishes (minimum 2 dishes) is too high. It's a shame because the welcome and attention to customers are very, very good.

Exceptional cuisine worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. Bravo! Very varied breakfast with homemade and local products. No complaints whatsoever (perhaps the lack of an elevator as our room was on the 2nd floor, but this didn't bother us).

We had dinner in the garden which was superb, the flavours and presentation of all the food was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and friendly, made you feel very welcome. The breakfast selection was the best we have experienced, it was well worth the money.

Luxury room (No. 3) at 140€ (sometimes 150€) excluding breakfast overlooking the street with cars passing by from 6:30 a.m., soundproofing to be perfected, separate toilet but next to the bed (not easy not to make noise at night) and small bathroom (even if functional). Disappointed with this price for this room, no luxury on the garden side, prefer a room at 90€ simpler but much better value for money. On the other hand EXCELLENT service and EXCELLENT gastronomic table, quality of food, presentation, in-depth knowledge of local sources, magnificent cheese platter, succulent desserts....and high-flying breakfast with homemade breads, jams, savory and sweet products etc.... Perhaps this increases the frustration of a room at a price too high for its quality, for our criteria, the complete opposite of the catering part, at the top!! . We will come back for this with great pleasure.

We return to this hotel whenever possible. The rooms are very comfortable, with very good bedding and very clean. The breakfast is very varied and features very good, fresh produce. Hotel chosen somewhat by chance: it was a pleasant surprise. Beautiful building, very nice garden, private parking, a few hundred meters from the city center. We were well received. We had booked an "economy" room, it was very clean and well-appointed.
Everything was perfect at this establishment. The only thing missing was a small refrigerator in the room. We are delighted with the quality of our stay and will definitely return to this place with great joy. Thank you for a service beyond reproach.

We spent a lovely 3-night stay at Hotel La Brèche and enjoyed Demi-pension for 2 of the 3 nights. Lovely fresh and well presented food! Madame is so very friendly and helpful in her recommendations. Junior suite accommodations are well laid out and decorated. Only recommendation: Kleenex in bathroom and a handle bar in the shower for older guests, as the shower floor is very slippery!
Very good 4-night stay. Small, friendly room, small but efficient and competent staff. Beautiful garden where we had dinner. We had half-board which may seem a little expensive but is really worth it because the food served is simply excellent. The city center is easily accessible for visiting the castles. A very good address.

Hotel LaBreche is a wonderful place to stay. The room was very spacious with additional seating area and a table and two chairs outside on a small patio. Everything was clean and we were welcomed by the host who showed us to our room and even carried our heaviest bag for us. The onsite parking worked well for us and felt secure since it was gated. The dinner at the restaurant was as good as any Michelin-starred restaurant I've visited. From 4 different types of amuse bouche to the entrees, plates (main course), cheese course and dessert, all of it was phenomenal. Service was attentive and professional but not overly intrusive. I highly recommend both lodging and the restaurant. If you only can do one, definitely make reservations for dinner!
A beautiful establishment! The gourmet meal (we chose the Tiphaine menu) was refined, and some flavors were new to us. A special mention goes to Julien, who provided excellent wine recommendations thanks to his expert knowledge of the subject.

Upon entry there is a beautiful garden area, and very private rooms. Parking is available and behind a secure gate. The staff were wonderful and helpful. We had traveled 2 weeks in France and enjoyed some very wonderful meals. The dinner at La Breche was at top of the list. It was special.

The restaurant is not the cheapest but is worth every penny / cent, it is worth a stay at this hotel just to experience dinner.
The whole hotel team are warm but discreet in how they approach guests which adds to the overall experience.
