Welcoming and friendly staff
Conveniently located near the village, with a compact, secure parking garage beneath the hotel. Entrance is via the restaurant, but the welcome was less courteous and friendly than at other lodgings. The breakfast buffet is somewhat sparse but meets the minimum French breakfast standard. The unheated pool had fallen leaves on the water. The room was fine and adequate.

Very nice hotel, the room is spacious and the bedding is very good. The swimming pool is very nice. The dinner was excellent and the dishes very well presented. The staff is very welcoming. I highly recommend it.
The staff was very friendly. The room was equipped with a walk-in shower. The furnishings were simple but very good. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the pool.

When you write in the room info that breakfast is from 07:30 and you are told by staff that you can have it from 07:45 (as a sort of service!) and the staff then gets sour when you arrive at 07:35 along with 14-15 other guests you should either show a smile or change the room info about the time of breakfast!
The owner was very unwelcoming and even contemptuous. It seemed he had a disdain for native English speakers.
A very pleasant family stay. Located at the bottom of the town center of Moustiers, easily accessible on foot and a few minutes from Lake Sainte Croix by car. A very warm welcome, spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet family room. Perfect, high-quality food!

La Bonne Auberge is a wonderful establishment, a true haven of peace. A splendid terrace filled with trees, flowers, and light... You can hear the birds singing. The infinity pool is perfect, the restaurant is top-notch (special mention to the chef). And what about the staff... A lovely, attentive team.
Good overall but this year a little disappointed with the welcome and the catering service, and the prices which have increased excessively, we have been coming to this establishment for years now and this is the first time that we have left a somewhat mixed opinion on the welcome

We get a accessible room and the bath room is not that good. Breakfast is a small but good buffet.

There were three of us staying. The room was very small with three separate beds. We received a rather cold welcome from one of their staff members. Thank you for providing a secure garage for our three motorcycles.
Professional atmosphere and a personalized relationship
The outdoor pool and dining area is stunning. The room was very clean, but the decor was a bit cold and impersonal. The bedding was impeccable. We tried the restaurant. The portions were very generous and the food was delicious. It's a shame the waiter was so rushed, darting from table to table. He barely listened to us when we ordered, preoccupied with what was happening next door. The serene atmosphere of the place was somewhat spoiled by his infectious nervousness.

Very tired rooms. Flooring wasn't properly laid. Air conditioning stopped working. No coffee making facilities. We stayed for 5 nights but only 1 bottle of water provided on first night and was not replaced for the other 4 nights.
We were surprised that reception closed at 19:30 and no night porter was available in case of problems (such as when our aircon stopped working at 21:00)
Adorable hotel with nice rooms. Beautiful view out our window. Great pool area even though we didn’t have time to use. Elevator was great to have. Continental breakfast was nice before hiking. Amazing hiking and restaurants within 5 min. Walk. This is now one of our favorite towns. The owners were also so sweet and interesting to talk too.

Disappointing experience – not as advertised
We booked this hotel mainly for the parking, but upon arrival were told there was none, and no help was offered. The receptionist left us mid-conversation to take a phone call without apologizing.
The room was tiny, nothing like the photos online. The bathroom door hit the sink cabinet, and a bedside lamp blocked the entrance door. One side of the bed wasn’t accessible at all. Towels were hidden in a drawer—we weren’t told.
The pool was dirty and unused. Only the morning staff was friendly, but overall, this was the least enjoyable stay of our trip.

Perfect welcome. Soundproofing of the rooms needs to be improved. And there is a lack of choice in the teas in the morning (only infusions)
