Welcoming and friendly staff

Conveniently located near the village, with a compact, secure parking garage beneath the hotel. Entrance is via the restaurant, but the welcome was less courteous and friendly than at other lodgings. The breakfast buffet is somewhat sparse but meets the minimum French breakfast standard. The unheated pool had fallen leaves on the water. The room was fine and adequate.

The staff was very friendly. The room was equipped with a walk-in shower. The furnishings were simple but very good. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the pool.

A very pleasant family stay. Located at the bottom of the town center of Moustiers, easily accessible on foot and a few minutes from Lake Sainte Croix by car. A very warm welcome, spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet family room. Perfect, high-quality food!

Great place for a stay near Moustiers (5mn walk) and activities on the lake (10mn drive). Very kind staff. Nice facilities with a big swimming pool. Room Ok, but bathroom is very small and impractical. Restaurant is a must, food is superb.

La Bonne Auberge is a wonderful establishment, a true haven of peace. A splendid terrace filled with trees, flowers, and light... You can hear the birds singing. The infinity pool is perfect, the restaurant is top-notch (special mention to the chef). And what about the staff... A lovely, attentive team.

Good overall but this year a little disappointed with the welcome and the catering service, and the prices which have increased excessively, we have been coming to this establishment for years now and this is the first time that we have left a somewhat mixed opinion on the welcome

The breakfast buffet area is very, very small, and the traffic is jammed... a shame because it's of good quality. The hotel is very well located, with a beautiful pool and a lovely terrace.

Les matelas sont un peu fermes, ce qui peut convenir à certaines personnes selon les préférences. À noter également : l’hôtel se situe à proximité d’une église, et les cloches peuvent être audibles, surtout tôt le matin. Si vous avez le sommeil léger, cela pourrait perturber votre repos.

Very tired rooms. Flooring wasn't properly laid. Air conditioning stopped working. No coffee making facilities. We stayed for 5 nights but only 1 bottle of water provided on first night and was not replaced for the other 4 nights.
We were surprised that reception closed at 19:30 and no night porter was available in case of problems (such as when our aircon stopped working at 21:00)

Adorable hotel with nice rooms. Beautiful view out our window. Great pool area even though we didn’t have time to use. Elevator was great to have. Continental breakfast was nice before hiking. Amazing hiking and restaurants within 5 min. Walk. This is now one of our favorite towns. The owners were also so sweet and interesting to talk too.

Disappointing experience – not as advertised

We booked this hotel mainly for the parking, but upon arrival were told there was none, and no help was offered. The receptionist left us mid-conversation to take a phone call without apologizing.

The room was tiny, nothing like the photos online. The bathroom door hit the sink cabinet, and a bedside lamp blocked the entrance door. One side of the bed wasn’t accessible at all. Towels were hidden in a drawer—we weren’t told.

The pool was dirty and unused. Only the morning staff was friendly, but overall, this was the least enjoyable stay of our trip.

Perfect welcome. Soundproofing of the rooms needs to be improved. And there is a lack of choice in the teas in the morning (only infusions)

We stayed there for one night and received a very friendly welcome. The half-board dinner was excellent, and the service was very personal and friendly.

Making fun of customers to the point of giving a tiny room (5/6 m2 excluding bathroom) in which you cannot sit or open a suitcase anywhere other than on the bed is not worthy of a 3 star hotel. Very low-end breakfast. Mediocre welcome (but the manager's father and brother are more attentive). Change of room for a real 2-person room for the second night, fortunately, but refusal of a commercial gesture for the first. Parking difficult to access and paying. On the other hand, the dinner, the swimming pool and the location in the village are very good. Really disappointing experience.

Good overall but there were a few things missing in the room to make it perfect, including an individual fridge.

The employee at checking was not helpful at all. We did not know that parking was limited even though the hotel advertised there was parking onsite, and he wouldn’t helps us and tell us where we could park. He looked like he didn’t really care…

Hotel is in a beautiful setting and the pool area in particular is stunning. Buffet breakfast was nice and worth the supplement. We did not eat at the restaurant for dinner but it gets very good reviews and we enjoyed having drinks there after we returned from having dinner elsewhere. The room itself was very spare and rather out of sync with how nice the rest of the property was, but perfectly adequate for our needs. Our kids enjoyed the pool so much that more than made up for the plainness of the room.

Bed not at all comfortable. The property is zero full of flies in the room.

Superb 2-night stopover, beautiful location to visit the village, well-equipped and comfortable rooms. Excellent restaurant, creative and full of flavors. Table to recommend very high level cuisine. Nice swimming pool to rest from sightseeing.

The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. I am 80 years old and my husband 83. We left our room key in a relative’s car by mistake and asked the receptionist if he could let us into our bedroom. He refused and we had to phone our relative and and ask them to return. Some 15 minutes later the receptionist decided that he would let us in!

On checking out, the room rate charged was based on 3 people staying, which was different from the confirmation email for the correct number of 2 people. After a considerable amount of effort and with the help of my son, the receptionist finally presented me with the correct bill.

Lovely hotel, but terrible staff.

Staff and hotel were amazing. Pool was lovely. Rooms and bed very clean. Breakfast was well presented and everything was fresh. Only thing that let this hotel down was the parking. There is a carpark under the hotel but you had to pay 10 euro to park there. I feel if your staying in the hotel it should be included.

The gentlemen that work there were so welcoming and helpful! We altered our reservation to come in two days early and they were able to help us with that. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to stay another night and they were able to accommodate that as well. My French is awful and they were very patient! Location is perfect. We walked into town four or five times each day. The restaurant there is also fantastic, both the food and the service. It is a very charming place. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need for stay. Noise from the hallway can be a bit loud in the mornings when people are checking out if you are a person that likes to sleep in, but we were up and ready to enjoy the day so it did not bother us. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it!

The evening/day staff was very lovely and accommodating. They gave me a nice pot of tea to take to the room. The bathrooms are just redone and very nice. The breakfast room does not open until 8A and you cannot get coffee until then, which is disappointing since there is no hotpot/coffee in the room. Don't bother with the breakfast, however. The coffee machine makes terrible coffee and the breakfast choices are sub-par for 8Euros. Lovely pool and convenient to start the route along the Gorge. A plus to have a USB port for charging in the room.

We stayed 3 nights. Everything was perfect, very friendly welcome, attentive staff, good bedding and quiet. Very complete breakfast. Special recommendation for the restaurant, it’s fine and delicious! And the strawberry tiramisu is a must try!!!

Comfortable room, very good half-board menu and friendly restaurant staff. However, a deplorable and cold welcome from the receptionist, to whom it seems normal to charge the full price for children. In short, the behavior of this person at the reception spoils the overall impression.

Quiet hotel with great bedding and a beautiful bathroom. Small downside, the parking is in addition to the room, I would have been happy to know that. Otherwise, the welcome is good and professional with a nice breakfast. There may be a coffee maker missing in the room for early risers like me.
