A delightful Logis Hotel set in the beautiful village of Pont d'Ouilly. Very easy to find, the parking is easy and adequate. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is comfortable and quiet at night. The restaurant is excellent. We had a wonderful dinner with their a la carte main dishes and desserts. Memorable meals. Service is very good. A good address and an excellent restaurant. It deserves top marks. We will come back!

I stayed at the Hôtel du Commerce in Pont-d’Ouilly as part of a cycling trip around Suisse Normande, and I would highly recommend it, especially to fellow cyclists.

The staff were absolutely brilliant — incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They don’t speak much English and my French is pretty poor, but that really didn’t matter; we managed perfectly well and it actually added to the experience!

My room was fairly basic, but it was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed after a long day on the bike. Breakfast was typically French, plentiful and very satisfying — exactly what I needed before heading out for another day of cycling.

The location is excellent. There are bars, restaurants and a supermarket all within easy walking distance, and Pont-d’Ouilly itself is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful roads and cycling routes of Suisse Normande.

For anyone planning a cycling trip in this part of Normandy, the Hôtel du Commerce makes a great base. Friendly people, comfortable accommodation and a fantastic location.

Impeccable service and pleasant room

Because I value honesty but dislike sharing my personal life on social media, I prefer to speak directly and discreetly with the management of the establishment about both positive and negative aspects. Therefore, I will refrain from commenting on any potentially sensitive or offensive topics. The meeting was brief but informative and cordial.

Friendly welcome but room (5) had carpet that really needs replacing and a bathroom unworthy of a 3-star hotel. However, the restaurant was very good.

The large room was well-appointed. The breakfast was plentiful. Free parking was available opposite the hotel.

Very noisy. Request a room at the back as the street is very busy.

Le patron was extremely helpful and polite and we had a gorgeous supper.

Disappointed that there were no tea making facilities in our room . That’s the only negative though
