⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful village hotel — and an unforgettable meal

What an absolute gem. Logis Hôtel Auberge Saint Hernin combines everything you hope to find in a small French village hotel: a lovely location, genuinely warm and friendly service, and a welcome that makes you feel more like a guest than a customer.

But the real star is the food. The menu is superb — full of character, beautifully cooked and a wonderful celebration of proper French regional cuisine. This is exactly the sort of place where you should be adventurous and order something you might normally pass over.

And oh my, the tripe! Forget any preconceptions you may have. This dish was like nothing we expected — rich, deeply flavoursome, beautifully prepared and quite simply delicious. It was one of the most memorable dishes of our trip and absolutely not to be missed.

The owner is super friendly, and her husband's cooking is fabulous. Some of the best tripe I've ever eaten; it melted in my mouth, and I haven't been trying it for years. The "maison" pâté is also very good. Highly recommended.
