The Logis Hotel Auberge des Aulnettes is a wonderful oasis on the coast of Normandy not far from the beaches of Cabourg. The Auberge is a rustic Normandy half-timber house that has been recently renovated. The host and his family are very friendly and gracious. Our room had a view of lush green fields, farm houses, and distant hills. The dinner was delicious with homemade terrine, lamb from sheep raised in a special area of Normandy, farm-fresh salads and delicious desserts. The evening ended with a tasting of several kinds of Calvados. A real treat!
We highly recommend the charming Auberge and the gracious hospitality of the host and his family. The Auberge is a high-value, affordable alternative to the very expensive hotels immediately on the beach. Delightful!
