A little haven of peace and good food.
Everything was perfect: the welcome, the cleanliness of the rooms, the dinner...
It's incredible to see this establishment with a 3-star rating because the services are far from adequate. The cleanliness of the room was lacking, with lots of insects, cobwebs everywhere, a lipstick stain on the pillow, a musty smell... you have to wonder if the room had actually been prepared despite what the owner told us. You had to wait a long time for hot water, and hot water wasn't possible! As for the shower pressure, it was really too weak. As for the food, I can't say better. Breakfast at €12, you expect choice and quality... Not even a croissant, not even freshly baked bread, but bread defrosted from the day before and all soggy, which you would like to toast in a real toaster but it was so slow that it was impossible!! A croustade that has no name other than croustade, tasteless and greasy, madeleine in a bag, industrial orange juice and so on. Dinner the night before at the restaurant was quite expensive for the quality offered. We left really disappointed, only the green and authentic setting remains a good memory.
Poorly insulated rooms
Excellent cuisine
Hotel in a dream setting, extremely friendly staff. Friendly atmosphere.
We mistakenly booked a night in Saint-Lary in Ariège instead of Saint-Lary in the Hautes-Pyrénées. Realizing our confusion, we quickly contacted the owner to ask if it was possible to change the dates. His response was a categorical refusal, without any attempt at understanding or conciliation. To demonstrate our good faith, we offered to return another weekend by extending our stay over several nights, in order to find a win-win solution and avoid losing a night unnecessarily. Here again, the refusal was firm, on the pretext that the establishment was full. However, according to the availability visible on Booking, the majority of rooms (about 3/4) remained available for the same dates. This is regrettable for an establishment that claims to be welcoming!
Hotel in a very pretty village, extremely friendly welcome, delicious food, the hotel is bordered by the river. I didn't give the maximum rating because of the price of my very small room (inaccessible wardrobe) but the other rooms are probably more spacious.
Passing through St Lary for one night during a cycling trip, I particularly appreciated this relaxing stopover. Everything was perfect, from the welcome to the quality of the services offered, both for the hotel and the restaurant. A big thank you!!
Great environment. Welcoming owners. Quality dinner.
I stopped at this hotel for an overnight stay during a cycling trip, and it was perfect. The evening meal at the inn's restaurant was generous and very good. And breakfast in the morning was served early for an early departure, with local products.
Excellent hostel, warm welcome, simple but comfortable room. Very good food.
Nothing to complain about
An address to recommend without hesitation
Lovely hotel and exceptionally thoughtful host.
Really great!
A one-night stay in this pretty little village of St Larry and its Auberge de l'Isard astride a magnificent stream. Charming welcome, kitchen with great value for money, clean, simple, pleasant room; everything is done to have a superb stay.
Spacious clean studios, nice having the river running so close!
Owner not on site, self checkin instructions misleading. Restaurant was supposed to be open, but was closed
For my part, this does not correspond to a three-star "Logis de France" hotel: - access to the room with luggage was difficult, - the size of the room is really very small - bathroom door having difficulty closing, "bulging" floor - Breakfast only from 9 a.m.
Very nice room, clean bathroom. We had no problem checking in. On the other hand, our room (no. 8) is not well insulated and we woke up to the sounds of breakfast since the room is right next door. We could hear the discussions, noises of the coffee machine, etc. very clearly. Avoid if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise the hotel is very well located and beautiful.
Studio très agréable avec vu sur la nature .
Confortable, bon service
Room 8 should be avoided, wooden floors in the room above are noisy, strong smell of cigarettes, radiator also very noisy and too close to the breakfast room. The setting is magnificent and the staff welcoming. The breakfast is average, no one is present and no homemade… it's a shame.
