Restaurant Auberge de l'Etang

I paid over 80 euros for a night, thinking the room would be cozy, but it was tiny. The bathroom mirror was speckled with toothpaste, and I found a few hairs on the floor. The shower grout was moldy, and the faucets were rusty. And it was a resin shower cubicle. I much prefer Ibis Budget hotels. The hallway was painted black. A gloomy atmosphere! The room decor was outdated, with old wool blankets. And the breakfast was awful. Defrosted pastries, a moldy slice of cheese, and the slice of cured ham—I spat it out because it smelled moldy too. In short, it was the only little pleasure of the summer, and I was incredibly disappointed. A little further away, and for not much more money, I could have slept in a luxurious castle. I had asked questions about the spa, but never received a reply... The view was of the pool and lake (well, a rather unimproved view of the lake. I mostly saw a camper van). I couldn't swim because it was closed for dinner... And there was no kettle with a bag of herbal tea, tea, or coffee.

A lovely little hotel in a beautiful small town. Supermarket and lovely pizza restaurant a few minutes walk away. The hotel had a beautiful restaurant and breakfast room was very well presented. The room was very clean and with a view over the lake. We used the pool which was perfect and very nicely sized for the hotel and water temp was just right. No AC in the rooms due to the age of the hotel but fans are available on request.

Excellent service, a very pleasant stay with a dream pool. Well done and thank you to everyone. Top-notch food. Thank you. We will be back.

A lovely stopover for sleeping (beautiful double room with a view of the pond), eating (with very nice tableware) and cooling off (beautiful swimming pool) thank you again!

A very friendly welcome and a much-appreciated dinner. It's a shame that the smell of cigarettes permeates the ground floor of the establishment.

Very basic breakfast. Noisy room adjoining the next room with no soundproofing. Outdated shower.

I booked this hotel especially for the swimming pool. But it was closed when we arrived. There was a snel of cigarettes inside and no warm water.

We were a little disappointed by the reception and the comfort of the rooms.

The welcome was rather cold. No water was offered after arriving on foot from Magnac Bourg train station in the sweltering heat. The hotel is well located. The room was pleasant and clean. The breakfast was adequate.

A warm welcome, a beautiful room and a good meal, what more could you ask for?

Overall, it's okay.

The welcome was adequate, but the reception staff were very cold and unfriendly (all male). Breakfast was meager, and there was little choice compared to other Logis hotels where we've stayed. For us, this is the first and last time we will stay there.

The room wasn't heated when we arrived, even though it was very cold. There was also a problem with the radiator! However, when we reported it, the manager immediately went to look into the problem and fixed it.

Well-located hotel on the edge of a pond. Very nice pool. Impeccable breakfast.

A scandal. Zero friendliness. Lamentable quality of meals. Missing products at breakfast and questionable smell of milk and ham. Totally unjustified meal prices. Avoid. The contemptuous attitude of the waiter is unbearable. I don't understand why they are given more than one star. If I could give 0 stars.....pool and terrace inaccessible at...25°! In short, a scam.

Everything is very good, I really recommend this well-kept, clean place with excellent food and a very caring owner and his wife, perfect!

Small, friendly hotel with a simple but exceptional restaurant and an attractive pool. Decent bedding (taller people should opt for two single beds rather than a double). Small but functional rooms. Very quiet, but not necessarily well soundproofed. Friendly and accommodating owner, who could do with being more cordial. Friendly owner

For the evening meal, the meal was cold because of the heat, very disappointed. The room was very noisy on the road side. Too bad. The welcome was very cold from the boss, but the lady was very friendly.

Arrival in a freezing room with 1 degree outside at the beginning of February. Bathroom also unheated. We had to wait until the middle of the night to get an acceptable temperature. Bathroom very limited in temperature. Corridor serving the rooms still unheated on the morning of departure. Where are the stars claimed?

This is the third time I have come and I am always satisfied with my stay.
