Excellent establishment, top-notch restaurant and breakfast, a bit too expensive in the evening, a good stopover in my opinion.
Late night stop on eay to the ferry at dieppe. Ideal . The chalwt was quite comfortable ans well equiped microwave oven tv etc.
It's always a pleasure to stay at this establishment. I recommend the overnight package. The owner and staff are fantastic.

Very nice place, very quiet. Just a suggestion which does not call into question the quality and overall appreciation, but a welcome tray in the room would be welcome, at least a bottle of water and glasses.
The hotel was quiet, like a lodge, although the walls were a bit worn in some corners downstairs. The food was extraordinary. Virtually all the staff were very personable. They were attentive and answered all my questions.

A lovely, peaceful property. The cottages are fantastic! And the pool is a real bonus. A bit pricey for the winter season compared to summer holiday rates, but still affordable and high-quality.
This is our second stay at this hotel. The staff were attentive, the room was clean, and the setting is peaceful at the entrance to the Gâvre forest. The breakfast was superb, featuring local products. We will definitely return. Thank you! 👍🏻😊

I think it is impossible to find such kind, attentive, and pleasant staff anywhere else. The superb location of the Auberge and the delicious quality of the meals further enhance the pleasure of the stay.
Very pleasant because it's close to the forest. Welcoming staff. We stayed in cottage c 22, which is the most intimate. Unfortunately, the smell of ammonia was very present throughout the cottage. Hence my disappointing rating for the price/quality ratio. We hope this problem is quickly resolved for your future guests. Sincerely, Yann V.

We were welcomed into a bungalow for a 2-night stay. The whole place is well-equipped and comfortable. However, the ventilation in the toilets is not satisfactory (odors). A hand towel near the sink near the toilet bowl would be desirable. We enjoyed the very pleasant and good-sized swimming pool. However, my husband, who suffers from joint problems, found the descent of the steps into the pool dangerous for his balance; the presence of a railing to hold onto and go down the steps would be necessary.
The kitchen needs some improvements, including large appliances such as a round table for 6 and a coin-operated dishwasher. A small fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, a 4-burner electric hob, and shelves in the cupboard area and in the toilet would also be helpful. The bedroom and bathroom are spotless.
Last-minute booking with a preferential rate for a standard room, admittedly small but with a pleasant bathroom and comfortable bedding. Hearty and varied breakfast with good local products.

Everything was perfect, only one small drawback: the mattress in our suite 15 was uncomfortable because it sank, which I think is a sign of wear and tear, and it is best to inform the hotelier.

Beautiful establishment, well located in a quiet area. Good food and impeccable service. Spacious and well-equipped room. Too bad there is still a bathtub and not a shower; and the practice of putting two small beds together to make one large one should disappear!
The pool is nice and the hotel is clean. The quietness of the place is very appreciable. Dinner at the restaurant was okay but overpriced. The wine is not very good and very expensive. We received very little advice for walks in the forest, which is a shame given the name of the hostel! The room is tiny, we had never seen such a small room, even in big cities!!
20€ supplement for asking to arrive around 1 p.m. to get dressed before a wedding and disappearing at 2 p.m. Petty and uncommercial attitude (very unpleasant) Handing over the keys took 3 minutes!
Very well located hostel in a very quiet place in the middle of the forest, well-appointed and very clean room, gourmet food, we stop there whenever possible.

It was perfect, very warm welcome, beautiful hotel and beautiful room, we will come back. The only thing perhaps to say is the shower area is small, so the floor quickly gets very wet in the bathroom.

Welcome, tranquility, restaurant, everything was perfect. The interior of the cottages could use a little refreshment. Adding a solar panel system (renewable energy) which could be coupled with an air conditioning/heating system would be in keeping with the theme of the establishment and a plus in comfort.
Excellent stay. Cottages are new and equipped with the basics for a Nice stay. Forest is across the road for walks during the day. The staff was very helpful and patient with some emergency printing we needed. I would happily stay with them again.
A very comfortable hotel lost in the middle of this magnificent forest.
The apartment smelled bad (we reported the problem but apparently they were aware of it but did nothing!!) and the shower had mold. The cleanliness was not up to scratch and the kitchen area was not suitable for meals. Overall, really very, very disappointing. I do not recommend the "cottages" at all. In fact, we cut our stay short... And it's called Logis de France... We don't usually criticize, but we were really very disappointed.

We always come back to the Hôtel de la Forêt with great pleasure! We recommend it! Given the scorching weather, it was quite warm in the room, but sleeping with the window open: no problem!
The interior blackout curtain was made of PVC, which caused an unpleasant odor in the room. It's a shame.

I had mistakenly booked the wrong date for our stay- luckily there was a room available and the booking was altered with no fuss.
I then realised that I had also booked a ferry back to the UK on the wrong day as well. I could not contact Brittany ferries on my phone but the young man on the reception desk couldn’t have been more helpful and rang the number on the hotel phone. I had a long wait in a queue to speak to Brittany ferries to change the booking. Your staff were most patient and helpful, thank you so much!
A very high quality establishment completely lost in the forest, it's extraordinary. No noise, you'd think you were in another world. Very good heated pool. Excellent meal, maybe a little expensive... but the room is magnificently decorated. In short, a high level in an improbable place.

Hello, the welcome was perfect. However, there was no air conditioning, the fridge didn't work, there was no kettle in the room, and the bathroom wasn't separate from the bedroom, so you had to shower in front of your roommate. Disappointing value for money.

The staff is very pleasant, we had a great time. The rooms are quiet and well-equipped, and the bedding is comfortable. The small lounge with board games is truly relaxing. The gym is basic but adequate, and the heated pool is pleasant! The restaurant lives up to the location with refined dishes and appropriate quantities. We will be back!

A pleasant stay in a pleasant location with the Gâvre forest where you can walk or ride a bike (loaned by the hotel). Room with bathtub, ideal for relaxing after swimming in the pool. Possibility of eating on the terrace or in the well-decorated dining room. Very good cuisine. Want to stay there again, perhaps by renting a cottage....

Very clean and quiet hotel, great pool, really good quality restaurant and breakfast, very professional staff. The two small drawbacks that I have to point out are the lack of transparency on the bedding. When on Booking, it is advertised as a large double bed and we are surprised to have two single beds pushed together, it is disappointing, because the gap between the two beds is really not pleasant... And the curtain system that lets in all the light from the morning, not very pleasant. Otherwise, everything else is perfect, I recommend.
