I highly recommend the hotel and restaurant. My only suggestion for further improvement would be to add a safe to the rooms.
Hotel was closed so only had a room, no hotel facilities
Comfortable room, good bedding, very pleasant view, easy parking, very good breakfast buffet, nice and soothing decor.
No internet in the room (a real problem when you're working). The room changed to a different one with network coverage, but very slow and a strong sewer smell in the room due to the pipes in the bathroom. A shame because the room itself is nice.

Not sure what to expect and didn't realise was a Logis (again mixed experience with Logis). Was really good probably due to what appeared to be recent refurbish of rooms. Very friendly staff, great welcome, nice bar area for a glass of champagne, dinner good, beautiful gardens with fairytale lighting. Amazing location with river and lake, was snowy on arrival. Will be back in spring/ summer.

Overall, the stay was good. However, there was no more shower gel, so I had to get out to get soap from the sink. Also, the TV remote control no longer works.
Excellent welcome from the group manager Mr. Belghazi, the Director and all the staff. Truly outstanding.

We booked this hotel, because last year we found the restaurant to be excellent, However, this time, we weren’t informed that the hotel restaurant would be closed, until about 2 hours before arrival, by telephone. When we raised this with the receptionist, she said it was booking.coms fault, not the hotels. We were informed that there was a restaurant about two minutes walk away. As my wife has poor mobility we proposed to drive. However we then found that the car park was locked. Again, we weren’t told about this by the receptionist, or how to open the gate.
The room was OK but a little cramped. The shower and heating were very good.
The breakfast room was cramped. Freshly squeezed orange juice machine was excellent.
Wi-Fi connection was very poor and kept failing.
Beautiful hotel, quiet location. Free and accessible parking. Attentive service in the restaurant and well-prepared dishes.

We chose a great hotel because it had a restaurant. Unfortunately, there was a group and a wedding. The recommended restaurant was sold out. We ended up eating at the brasserie across the street. We were woken at 3:00 a.m. by departing wedding guests. Breakfast was okay, but due to the wedding setup, it wasn't served in the cozy room.
I've been here for the second time and I'm very satisfied! I'll be back soon.
Nice place, free parking and lots of places
The service in the restaurant is very good. Nice staff that gives you a feeling of welcome with personal attention.
We received a very warm and professional welcome at the reception desk. However, it turned out that the restaurant is closed on weekend evenings (this was indeed indicated on the website, but we hadn't noticed). The receptionist called two restaurants for us, but reservations were no longer possible. While we waited, she arranged some specialty beers from the restaurant that was rented out. On her recommendation, we ate at the brasserie across the square, and it was exceptionally good. In short, a very good hotel with dedicated and friendly staff. The only downside was that the mattress was too firm for us.

Bathroom not spotless: hair and dust on the floor under the sink cabinet and behind the door. The rest is fine.
A nice location. Everything I needed was there. Excellent service at the restaurant. Delicious food. The staff allowed us to practice our French and helped us when we got stuck. All the staff were very professional.
Great service receptionist - she was searching and booking a dinner for us
We were expecting a smaller, family-run hotel. The hotel seems to be geared toward tour groups. The restaurant is highly recommended, but the ambiance is a matter of taste.
We stopped at Hotel Aster for one night on our trip between Calais and Alsace. Our room was attractive, functional and clean. The bed was comfortable and the location in the town of Briey was quiet, so we had a good night’s sleep. Breakfast included a variety of both cold and hot items. The highlight of our stay was dinner, which was excellent, and there was entertainment that night in the restaurant in the form of a “crooner” singing American and European songs from the 1950s and 1960s. The lady on the reception desk spoke excellent English and was very helpful. We would certainly stay at Hotel Aster again!

While the setting and rooms are great, the food leaves much to be desired. The salad was overly dressed, the moussaka resembled a parmigiana, with no feta, no potatoes, no meat, and no warning that it was a vegetarian dish... which I still don't know.
