Evening Stopover: excellent food: Thank you to the chef!
This is not my first stay at this hotel, congratulations on the renovation of the entire establishment + a warm welcome + a good meal and a very attentive and pleasant waitress, in short, thank you to the whole team and see you soon.
The highlights: the food, which was of a very high standard, and the value for money of the overnight package. The low point: the room was a bit austere and could use a fresh coat of paint.
The reception was cold; a smile from the receptionist would have been appreciated. The pillows were very thick, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. The food was poor quality, with a limited selection and reheated, uncooked dishes.
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Altima for 2 nights at the end of our holiday in Spain and France. We found it to be very pleasant and well run. Our room was clean and spacious and (unusually in our experience of French hotels) tea and coffee making facilities were provided in our room. The majority of the clients appeared to be people who were working in the local area, and we found some of them to be very friendly. Altogether, we enjoyed our stay, and were able to visit Evreux, where we loved the cathedral, and some charming Normandy villages.
A small smile from the receptionist would be welcome.

Booked this hotel because it has Restaurant on site. Nowhere does it say in the booking process that the Restaurant is closed on weekends. When we asked for Restaurant opening times we were told it is closed. Drove 400 miles that day and had the to go into town to find a Restaurant. re question below - how can we use the Restaurant when is is closed??
Very disappointing! Carpet in the room: terrible for hygiene! Bed: dated spring mattress! Bathroom: in need of renovation, with bathtub. Dilapidated furnishings, crumbling furniture! Restaurant: good value. Breakfast: adequate! I definitely wouldn't make this choice again. Believe me, I'm not usually this drastic: I adapt quite easily.
Complicated reception, the person couldn't find our name (even though we were apparently the only ones arriving that evening). In the morning, no staff were present either for breakfast (some products were missing) or at departure.
