Ignor all reviews prior to June 2025. This hotel is under new management and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. They try to make sure that they meet all customer's needs. The hotel is clean and smart and the food is excellent. Adjacent parking is plentiful.

This is a very comfortable hotel. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated by theme. The welcome is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is excellent, with a menu of traditional French cuisine, which has become rare these days. The chef masters the art of creating delicious sauces. The breakfast is varied.

What a waste. Despite the fact that the hotel is a beautiful establishment, the staff is not up to standard. There was a sewer smell in the room I occupied. The sound of the television is very bad. I had a big problem with breakfast; there was no one there and no more bread (at 9:30 a.m.). I was forced to call the mobile number and look upstairs for the person in charge of breakfast, who then took bread out of a freezer to cook it. I had to wait for it to be hot, but it was still frozen. The products advertised on the slate do not exist; e.g., artisanal jam from a producer, in fact, Bonne Maman jam. The same goes for cheeses from the north, in reality, industrial Camembert and Gruyère.; producer honey, in reality, from a supermarket brand, no good tea but an ordinary twinning brand; seasonal fruit from local producers, oranges!!! and barely cooked industrial pastries... the icing on the cake; the coffee in the machine is actually chicory... so no coffee. The advertised restaurant has actually been closed for several months. No more chef... it seems that the management changes regularly, this explains that and no commercial gesture. In short, a very disappointing stay, I do not recommend;

Good bed. That's about it. Not a soul living in the hotel to welcome us. Had to call a phone nr to unlock the door (at 7pm on a friday...)

Breakfast : cheese and yogurt sourced from local farms, these were good. Rest (bread, coffee, ham and jam) came from the cheapest supermarket they could find. Croissant was so undercooked the dough was literlaly flowing out of the thing.
Had to go search for someone in the kitchen to give the keys back before leaving.
Thankfully the room was clean, otherwise this review would have been a lawsuit.
Shame, because I've heard it was at least enjoyable, but has changed owner recently.

Nobody to receive us when we arrived. Had to phone somebody for code to open door. Restaurant was not available. Had to eat in city. We had asked for enclosed parking, but since nobody was there we had to park along the street. We were charged with a higher price than agreed on, probably due to a new owner who changed the tariffs.
No one to welcome us, at 7 p.m., so right in the time slot. I call the hotel number: no answer. Someone sends me a text, I call back. After getting the entry code, I am sent to a room with supposedly the key on the door. No key. After having toured the hotel, two rooms have a key on the door: one is not made and the other must accommodate a group. The person on the line asks me to come: she lives 20 minutes away. Finally, we are accommodated in a sauna room, after crossing a courtyard mined with dog droppings. A commercial gesture will be made for the inconvenience. The next morning, the dog greets us in the yard by barking at us. We take our luggage into the car and, as we return to the hotel, the mastiff barks at us and begins to growl. Perfect !

Unfortunately the Museum Matisse (reason for our booking) was closed, which was not mentioned on the hotel's website. OK my fault, I should have checked that at the museums website.
Bigger problem: since my son in law joined me, I upgraded the booked room to a suite with double bed and convertible bench. The convertible bench was not made. The owner replied that they didn't have any room with 2 separate beds! So we slept in one bed, but paid for a suite with 2 beds, no refund!

130€/night during the festival. Leaky shower. No suitable shelf above the sink. I was told that we had to vacate at 11am. 9:30 a.m., the cleaning lady comes into the room while I am sleeping soundly. Rebelotte at 10:30 a.m. At 11 a.m., upon departure, she was in front of my door... very unpleasant.

I've stayed at this establishment several times already and it's always a pleasure. The restaurant is top-notch, the decor is tasteful, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The quality of the food is high, and the presentation is truly impeccable. Great cocktails.
