The room was a bit small, with nowhere to put my large suitcase, and not much room to move around. A full-length mirror and tissues were missing. Otherwise, it was fine. Very good.

A very beautiful place, the setting is ideal for a peaceful stay with a lovely outdoor jacuzzi. The restaurant is simple and unpretentious, and therefore reasonably priced. The room, however, is very small, and the prices vary considerably, from €80 to €160, to which you must add €36 for breakfast, which for us would have brought the total to nearly €200 per night. Despite the cleanliness, it seems exorbitant for this type of room; it's far too small, there was no bottled water, no refrigerator, and a few quality toiletries would have been welcome. At this price point, I think one can expect that. The owner is very friendly and offered a small discount due to a hot water outage. So yes, I recommend it, but be sure to book on days when the price is more reasonable.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay – Our Home Away from Home.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness by the owners and staff that we instantly felt at home. They generously shared not only their beautiful hotel and spa, but also their love for their country, culture, cuisine, and the rich history of the area.
The hotel itself is a gem – set in a historic building with parts dating back to the 12th century and a fascinating connection to a famous knight’s order. Every detail, from the stunning location to the spotless, well-equipped rooms, was perfect.
Breakfasts were delicious and offered a lovely variety each morning. Though we didn’t have time to enjoy the spa, it looked absolutely amazing – a great reason to return!
And how could we forget their adorable and friendly dog, who made the experience even more special?
We truly didn’t want to leave this magical place. A heartfelt thank you to everyone – and every pup – who made our stay so memorable. Your Canadian guests will always remember you!
Service and food was very good ! Océane is always so cheerful , kind and has a lot of initiative ! She really made our stay so wonderful.
We wished the wellness centre will open for longer hours as it’s always crowded and we wanted to use it in the morning but it’s only available between 4-9.30pm.

Very well located hotel, in this magnificent little valley, a wonderful place, where we had a very good stay. Small and fairly standard room, bedding a little tired in my opinion. Limited parking in place, especially if one or two cars are poorly parked.

A very pleasant location in the Cousin Valley, near Avallon, in the Yonne region of Burgundy. The hotel runs along the river. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the surrounding nature. A well-designed spa with an outdoor Jacuzzi. Comfortable bedding. Delicious breakfast and dinner are served with local produce. We also recommend Méluzine's massages.

We enjoyed our stay at the Moulin des Templiers two years ago so much that we came back with great pleasure to spend some quality time with our family. The setting is exceptional, combining nature, comfort, and serenity. We particularly enjoyed the spa with its outdoor jacuzzi heated to 38 degrees, as well as the breakfast made with high-quality, varied, local, homemade products... a delight! It's a warm little cocoon that we will definitely return to for the pleasure. Thank you to the staff for their welcome and friendliness.

Beautiful hotel with lots of authenticity and a pleasant spa in a relaxing natural setting. Excellent breakfast. The only small downside is the soundproofing of the rooms with old-fashioned floorboards that are a bit noisy. The Junior Suite is very pleasant and recommended for the extra space used for our toddler.

We spent the weekend at the Moulin des Templiers and had a wonderful time. The weather was mild, allowing us to fully enjoy the spa, especially the outdoor jacuzzi. The bedding was very comfortable and the setting very peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and varied. We thank the hotel staff for their warm welcome and helpfulness. We will definitely be back!
If we had to find a downside to our satisfaction, we would say that the service during the evening meal was too fast.

Magnificent place, calm and very pleasant charming residence. We were able to enjoy all the services during the three days, breakfast, meal, aperitif facing the river and the spa in the middle of nature… we were not lucky because our room was very cramped and the carpet, old, smelled a little of feet… I think and I hope that a renovation will be done quietly over time…

Everything that is said on the hotel's website is true: you feel good, lulled by the song of the Cousin, in a beautiful historic house, a very welcoming team, and a delicious table.
The setting is magnificent, the staff truly welcoming. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The spa is very well-oriented and clean. Finally, the evening meal and breakfast are excellent.
The room was small without air conditioning, the television didn't work, the bed had a good hollow... 🤗

Excellent welcome in a bucolic setting. Personally, I have nothing to complain about and had a wonderful evening. My reservation concerns the possibility of a longer stay or with a young child because the rooms are cramped and make the value for money a little excessive.
