From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness by the owners and staff that we instantly felt at home. They generously shared not only their beautiful hotel and spa, but also their love for their country, culture, cuisine, and the rich history of the area.

The hotel itself is a gem – set in a historic building with parts dating back to the 12th century and a fascinating connection to a famous knight’s order. Every detail, from the stunning location to the spotless, well-equipped rooms, was perfect.

Breakfasts were delicious and offered a lovely variety each morning. Though we didn’t have time to enjoy the spa, it looked absolutely amazing – a great reason to return!

And how could we forget their adorable and friendly dog, who made the experience even more special?

We truly didn’t want to leave this magical place. A heartfelt thank you to everyone – and every pup – who made our stay so memorable. Your Canadian guests will always remember you!

Service and food was very good ! Océane is always so cheerful , kind and has a lot of initiative ! She really made our stay so wonderful.

We wished the wellness centre will open for longer hours as it’s always crowded and we wanted to use it in the morning but it’s only available between 4-9.30pm.

Very well located hotel, in this magnificent little valley, a wonderful place, where we had a very good stay. Small and fairly standard room, bedding a little tired in my opinion. Limited parking in place, especially if one or two cars are poorly parked.

A very pleasant location in the Cousin Valley, near Avallon, in the Yonne region of Burgundy. The hotel runs along the river. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the surrounding nature. A well-designed spa with an outdoor Jacuzzi. Comfortable bedding. Delicious breakfast and dinner are served with local produce. We also recommend Méluzine's massages.

We enjoyed our stay at the Moulin des Templiers two years ago so much that we came back with great pleasure to spend some quality time with our family. The setting is exceptional, combining nature, comfort, and serenity. We particularly enjoyed the spa with its outdoor jacuzzi heated to 38 degrees, as well as the breakfast made with high-quality, varied, local, homemade products... a delight! It's a warm little cocoon that we will definitely return to for the pleasure. Thank you to the staff for their welcome and friendliness.

Beautiful hotel with lots of authenticity and a pleasant spa in a relaxing natural setting. Excellent breakfast. The only small downside is the soundproofing of the rooms with old-fashioned floorboards that are a bit noisy. The Junior Suite is very pleasant and recommended for the extra space used for our toddler.

Magnificent place, calm and very pleasant charming residence. We were able to enjoy all the services during the three days, breakfast, meal, aperitif facing the river and the spa in the middle of nature… we were not lucky because our room was very cramped and the carpet, old, smelled a little of feet… I think and I hope that a renovation will be done quietly over time…

Everything that is said on the hotel's website is true: you feel good, lulled by the song of the Cousin, in a beautiful historic house, a very welcoming team, and a delicious table.

The setting is magnificent, the staff truly welcoming. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The spa is very well-oriented and clean. Finally, the evening meal and breakfast are excellent.

The room was small without air conditioning, the television didn't work, the bed had a good hollow... 🤗

Very warm welcome, top relaxation area (Nordic bath with a very relaxing view of the river), excellent breakfast and restaurant, everything is organic and good. And a fireplace as a bonus, a marvel. Too bad the menu is the same all weekend. A plus for access to the electrical outlet in our vehicle. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit narrow.

It's quite simple, everything was fabulous, from the welcome to the departure. The setting is magnificent, soothing and rejuvenating. The welcome is excellent with staff who do everything to make you feel good. The room was very nice, very comfortable and very quiet. The dinner was delicious. You absolutely have to eat there to savor the cuisine in this charming setting. Breakfast is just as good with a very large selection and high-quality products. And the ultimate in relaxation, the spa, with high-quality equipment, the sauna with a view of the river, the outdoor jacuzzi at 37, the hammam with a beautiful steam, and a solarium also with a view of the river, and deckchairs along the same river. In short, an enchanting setting

A very good stop before starting the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. A friendly and welcoming welcome. Everything at hand and of good quality. Breakfast was VERY good. Dinner was good, it's a shame that the chef was a bit too sophisticated with his dishes; we got a bit lost in the flavor department. In any case, there's a lot of work done in the kitchen.

Passing through for one night, we were delighted by the welcome, the quality and the refinement of the evening meal and discovery of the cuvée des Templiers. A breakfast composed of homemade cakes and excellent organic local products! All the staff are smiling and caring. And the cherry on the cake a moment of relaxation at the Spa.

A real little miracle, nothing more and nothing less than this place! We arrived frozen, in the pouring and icy rain, having decided to leave the too painful highway, after a day that had left us shivering with humidity. And, suddenly, a romantic site right on the edge of the river, a lovely welcome, a lovely warm room. Perfect surprise: we were offered (at no extra charge) a 37° jacuzzi, and a sauna and a hammam. Ideal to warm us up. After a cozy night thanks to perfect bedding, we will never forget this warm moment of happiness and we will come back.

Wonderful hotel in the middle of nature, with a great, relaxing spa area and cozy, delicious restaurant! If there's one thing I would improve it's the beverages at breakfast: it would be great to get fresh juice and freshly brewed coffee (It would be fair for a breakfast at 18 EUR/person). But this is just a detail - I really recommend this hotel!

Quiet location near Avallon Large comfortable room. Spa open only from 5pm does not allow you to enjoy the superb winter view from the hammam and sauna. I was called for the supposed disappearance of the TV remote control that we had left in the room. Exceptional setting on the banks of a river in a building with lots of charm. Small but quiet standard room, very good bedding. A small downside, there was no towel dryer in our room. Fine and tasty cuisine, we had two excellent dinners at the hotel restaurant. Good buffet breakfast with quality products. Very pleasant wellness area, with hammam, whirlpool bath and a real Finnish sauna; special mention for the latter! We had an excellent stay in this charming hotel in the heart of green nature. Thanks also to the welcoming and professional staff!

We had a wonderful relaxing time in this quiet green place, the welcome was pleasant, the meal taken in the authentic room of the mill invaded by the softness of the fire crackling in the fireplace was pleasant and excellent, the breakfast was copious, the room comfortable. What more can we say except that we hope to return, do not hesitate to discover this charming place.

Discrepancies in speech between the person who welcomes us in the evening and the one the next day. The rules are not clear before the trip and it ruins a weekend.

Beautiful place and quality hotel. We came back for the 3rd time because it is always a great experience to stay there. The standard room is pretty and comfortable however very small and with a low ceiling. One point to note is the duvet during the summer, it would be better to put a sheet with a bedspread, it would be more flexible, difficult indeed to sleep with a duvet when it is hot but not pleasant either to sleep without anything at all. The overall price remains a little expensive on the other hand they accepted the dematerialized holiday vouchers that many hoteliers do not accept.

Je recommanderai cet hôtel pour un court séjour mais peut-être pas pour un long séjour.
La chambre est très petite. Nous avions réservé cet hôtel plusieurs mois à l'avance et nous avons payé le prix fort par rapport au prix affiché sur le site de l'hôtel quand nous y séjournions (différence de plus de 50 euros par jour). Le petit déjeuner est à comptabiliser en plus! (mais pas obligatoire et très copieux à un prix normal).
L'hôtel offrait un service le soir choix entre 3 entrées, 3 plats, 3 desserts. (vin un peu cher)
Les produits sont de bonne qualité mais en plat principal on offrait Une salade César, un plat végétarien et un plat poisson dommage que l'on ne propose pas aussi un plat "viande"
Le menu change tous les mois c'était difficile de manger plus de deux fois dans ce cas.
L'hôtel nous a proposé de changer le menu si on le désirait, nous devions nous arranger avec le chef mais comme la région propose pas mal de bons restaurants, nous n'avons pas voulu compliquer les choses.
En conclusion vue le prix payé pour la chambre je m'attendais à quelque chose d'un peu plus luxueux. (chambre et SDB étaient petites).

We came to celebrate a friend's birthday at the Moulin des Templiers. Although we live 45 minutes from the hotel, we were greatly disoriented. The place is sublime, the renovation of the old mill is extraordinary. The wellness area is a huge plus, with a jacuzzi overlooking the Cousin River. The place is a real invitation to travel, relax and calm. It is possible to order cocktails in the afternoon. Top breakfast. And to top it all off, the receptionist welcomed us with extreme friendliness, which we really appreciated! I 100% recommend this little corner of paradise.

I offered this stay to my parents, they were delighted!!! Extremely pleasant and attentive staff, meals made with local and seasonal products, homemade. They enjoyed both breakfast (all-you-can-eat buffet) and dinner. To top it all off: the setting of this establishment is in the heart of nature, on the edge of the river and has a spa (hammam, sauna and jacuzzi).

The room was nice although a little small as the bed took up nearly all the space. But it was a comfortable bed.

Zelfs het brood (restaurant en ontbijt) was halffabricaat dat was opgewarmd in de lokale oven. Dit is OK als kwaliteit voor een wegrestaurant, maar een vers stokbrood of croissanterie waar de Fransen om bekend zijn, was hier niet te vinden.
Het restaurant was niet erg proper in de hoeken. Stofnetten - spinnenwebben onder en rond de centrale verwarming.
Niet erg comfortabel om aan een tafel ernaast te eten.

Notre séjour au Moulin des Templiers était une chouette découverte et nous en garderons un très bon souvenir.
La chambre était un peu petite mais nous ne restions qu'une seule nuit et c'était prévu comme cela. L'accessibilité au Spa est un réel plus. Le cadre est magnifique avec la proximité de la rivière. Vu le beau temps, nous avons pu dîner à l'extérieur, c'était vraiment très agréable. Cuisine que je qualifierais de saine et goûteuse, avec un très bon rapport qualité/prix.
Le petit déjeuner était également gourmand, même si personnellement j'aurais souhaité avoir une omelette et un plus grand choix de pains. Par contre, grand choix de cakes faits maison.
Bref, séjour vraiment sympathique. Je recommande.

Joli petit hôtel pour une nuit étape avec parking privé. Très beau jardin. Expérience culinaire incroyable, c'était trop bon du début à la fin. Quel bonheur en bouche. Bravo chef ! Spéciale mention pour le gâteau poire-chocolat au petit déj, une tuerie ! Le personnel est adorable merci pour votre accueil. Nous n'avons pas testé le SPA, car trop de monde ce jour là. Attention si vous prenez une suite et que vous allez utiliser le canapé-lit, faites le savoir avant la nuit afin que l'on vous le prépare. La petite boutique à la réception est top.

I had warned that I would arrive around 10:30 p.m./11 p.m. with journalists as part of my press trip. No light outside, very complicated and dangerous, having to go down all the steps with your suitcases and then find the reception and the rooms in total darkness. Concerning the Wifi network, it was nowhere indicated that there was no code and that it was simply a matter of connecting..

There are plenty of riverbanks. The hotel is designed with wellness in mind. Ladies and gentlemen receive your order. The item is not included in the prices that may be included in the price. Onze kamer was niet erg groot maar comfortabel ingericht. We are happy to see you on 1st night. Aanrader!

This is a very beautiful hotel in a green setting with very welcoming hosts.

Missing some small practical details. Towel rack, coat rack, soap dish in the shower...

The room 0.1 where we stayed was spacious (the surface is larger than the rooms on the first and second floor). But on the ground floor with entrance and window to the courtyard it is rather dark and you need to switch on the lights also during daytime. We were a little disappointed about this and the missing view of the garden and the river. Next time we would request an upstairs room, even if they are smaller.

A really, lovely quickly hotel. Excellent service in a stunningly beautiful setting. Local produce served and enjoyed. A pity the ‘spa’ only opens to guests at 5pm..Our room was clean, cosy and warm - but tight in terms of space. We loved the cracking fire in the restaurent.

A superb stay at the Moulin des Templiers where we were very well received! The staff is very friendly and available. We had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious and the plates were generous, the Templar wine was really good! The breakfast is excellent with a very large choice and with local products and homemade preparations. The room was simple but spotless and had everything you could need. The spa and the location are really pluses. We will definitely come back to stay here!

From the moment of arrival and the personalized welcome, smiles, kindness, the tone was set for a stay of well-being and rest. We had the pleasure of being upgraded. Having already stayed in a standard room for the first time, I was delighted to discover the superior rooms. We slept extremely well. The decoration is refined and refined. We were able to enjoy the SPA almost alone. A herbal tea room with delicious drinks where calm reigns to recharge your batteries facing the trees and river. The arrival of the new chef brings a real plus to the quality of the menu. A subtle blend to bring out all the aromas of each dish. We let ourselves be advised by the very kind and caring waitress on her specialty, namely cocktails. Thank you for this timeless moment which allowed us to breathe, to no longer think about the time, a real moment of resourcefulness.

For around ten years we have become accustomed to staying at the Hôtel des Templiers when we travel and always appreciate this pleasant and relaxing setting, the calm of this place and the rooms as well as the welcome we receive. reserved for each passage.

Very nice discovery in a magnificent region! The hotel is located along a river, it is very exotic. The wellness area is top notch with a hammam, a spa and outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the waterway...a magical moment! The welcome and the staff are friendly. The menu is careful and very good! Just a small downside, in the bathroom, there was a smell of sewage coming from the shower and we appreciated the gesture (free aperitif) for this inconvenience.

As I have already responded to this survey for this establishment that I frequent regularly, at least whenever my business trips allow me, everything is top notch, and if paradise exists, I am sure it is here. The new kitchen is really a success, well done. Brief ! No need for stars, you do much better than others who have them.

Magical place on the edge of a beautiful river. Access to the spa included in the price of the room with a Nordic bath outside, very nice. Too bad the room is too small, but good for one night and the food is good but simple apart from the tasty desserts. . Very professional welcome.
