We spent a night in a very high-quality establishment, with a very warm welcome and a comfortable room. We had also chosen this place for its restaurant, and we were not disappointed by the food: the cuisine was refined and delicious. Special mention goes to the sweetbreads, simply sublime! However, the service wasn't quite up to the standard of the food. Apart from the young waiter, who was quite professional and attentive, we felt that the young woman and the older waiter were a bit out of step with the restaurant's usual high standards. This is a shame, as it slightly detracted from the experience. Being gluten intolerant, I was disappointed that the waitress couldn't tell me what the sweetbreads were served with (€46 for the dish, no less), simply offering a vague "I think mashed potatoes" or something like that... Similarly, there was no explanation of the dishes when they arrived, and we had to call the older waiter back to ask him to present the cheese selection. I want to emphasize one point: service is a profession in itself, and last night, unfortunately, it didn't live up to the exceptional quality of the food. That said, I was pleasantly surprised the next morning at breakfast to discover that delicious gluten-free bread was available. It would have been thoughtful to mention this to me the night before at dinner; it would have been a very appreciated touch. This establishment has great potential, with remarkable cuisine, and deserves service to match.

Pleasant stopover stay, some points to review. Taps not perfect. Bathtub very slippery. Toilet door that did not close. A king-size bed would have been appreciated, as well as percale sheets. The feel of the waffle duvet cover was not appreciated. Special mention to the very pleasant staff, restaurant welcome and breakfast.

Incomprehensible cuisine on the plate. Self-satisfaction on every level. What a disappointment! I'll spare you the rudeness of the receptionist for being 22 minutes late at checkout. In my opinion, move on. There are much better options nearby.

Although situated in an i dustrial area, the former monastery was certainly worth the stay. The room was spacious and well kept. The beds were good and we slept well. No noice from the outside. Free guarded parking on site was much appreciated. Diner was very good.

L'Abbaye Caladoise est un îlot en pleine zone industrielle, mais elle est un havre de paix et le jardin est magnifique. Le parking sécurisé est un plus, notamment lorsque l'on vient avec une voiture chargée. L'hôtel n'a que 3 étoiles mais en mériterait 4. Le restaurant offre une cuisine traditionnelle qui a elle seule vaut le détour notamment le fameux pâté en croûte et la noix de ris de veau. Portions généreuses en adéquation avec une gastronomie gourmande. Carte des vins peu étoffée mais bien choisie et prix très corrects. Nous reviendrons.

Disappointing room. Impossible to empty the bathtub, no chain. The worst thing was at the restaurant. I asked for a CARAFE of water, which I was charged €2 for without being told that it was chargeable. At reception, they didn't want to know anything!!! As a result, I won't be coming back.

We go back there every time we go down to the South, which is to say how much we appreciate it.

Very nice room, quiet location, good food.

Very beautiful building. Spacious and well-equipped room. Average breakfast. The lady who takes care of breakfast also has to take care of people checking out. She was completely overwhelmed. I asked for eggs and it took 20 minutes…. Too bad because the setting is simply magnificent and it seems that the restaurant is very good.

We had been tempted by the photos of the buildings, but we did not know that they were located in this large commercial zone, so first disappointment, as for the "welcome" of the owner it did not reflect in any way the standing claimed by this establishment, this lady remains seated, hands us our key and points to the elevator with her finger, we ask for help with our luggage, her response is "it is not possible I am alone", it is the first time that this has happened to us, I walk with a cane and my husband will soon be 80 years old, you should know that access to the parking lot is via a corridor strewn with stairs. No special remarks for the room except for dirty windows and a view of the neighboring warehouses. For dinner we are seated with the menu cards, and we wait, finally a pleasant waiter offers us an aperitif, we take our order for the meal, we are served the starter after a wait of 65 minutes watch in hand in a gloomy atmosphere, (lack of staff once again or lack of professionalism), the starter a super sickening foie gras cream, a bad choice, fortunately the pike quenelle was excellent, we did not have dessert because it had to be ordered with the dishes (sic). We leave the restaurant before 11 p.m. following the instructions (see comments from other former residents) the lady at reception royally ignores us as for the chef we only saw him in the HUGE photo of the hall and in articles highlighted in the rooms Fortunately the room is comfortable and the same for the bathroom. Phew, the next morning a superb buffet awaited us for breakfast and the lady in charge of it was HELPFUL and SMILING, as she was also in charge of the bills she organized a direct passage to the exit of the parking lot which allowed us to move around more easily. Our general impression was that we were tolerated and not welcomed, no friendliness.

Ce qui était impossible, pour un restaurant de cette gamme die prix, c'était que la serveuse commence à débarrasser le table et rétirer les verres alors que nous étions encore assis à la table et en train de discuser. Et il n'était que 21.30 h! Ce n'est pas l'hospitalité qu'on attend.

Fabulous hotel with a stunning room. Restaurant was excellent . My only small complaint is that we were not able to purchase drinks on arrival, even though it was obvious another guest had been served. We got our own drinks and sat down outside and watched as the same people were given beer and wine that we allegedly could not purchase. We did not purchase breakfast only one of us would eat it. I was happy to purchase a coffee but was informed that I would have to drink it in our room. I felt that I wasn’t trusted to just drink a coffee while my husband had breakfast. It would have had a 5 plus from me - but not when I am made to feel that way

The food was very disappointing. Both the main meal and the breakfast were very ordinary. The gates didn’t open until 5pm, We arrived mid afternoon and could not get in until a current guest opened a side door for us. The staff were pleasant enough but the experience didnt live up to expectations. No extras like coffee or tea.

Apart from the weather (it rained from the moment we arrived until we left), everything was perfect. The welcome was particularly pleasant and attentive. What can I say about the quality of the food? It is at the height of gastronomy, with great simplicity and diligent and efficient service. In short, we will be back.

It was a very nice place to be and to relax after a long day driving. We choose the accommodation because of the good reviews of the restaurant.

Perfect stay. The availability of three electric charging stations (22kW) could be more clearly mentioned. This would make the stay even more comfortable for EV travelers.

Whether it's the setting, the quality of the welcome, the quality of the meal or the quality of the rooms, you can only be satisfied with your stay.

2nd stop in this hotel near the highway to the south. The quality of the food is very good, the chef makes very good dishes. The prices are nevertheless high if you don't take a menu, which I can't afford. 45 euros for an excellent Bresse chicken breast with morels for my companion, a little over 30 euros for a turbot fillet on an excellent tabbouleh, it's a bit exaggerated. The staff and service of the restaurant are top. We were lucky enough to eat on the terrace. The pillows are very average, the air conditioning despite us having turned it off made a continuous noise... Unfortunately, some smokers don't move far enough away from the entrance doors, the smoke enters the reception and the breakfast room!!! The welcome on our arrival is not the warmest, when we ask if our reserved room will be quiet and without air conditioning noise!

In the middle of a craft zone environment, the Logis is like a cocoon of calm with its beautiful old buildings. With this very beautiful setting, the group meal (135) was of high quality with impeccable service. The rooms (few in number) are spacious.

The only downside was a bit of a rude welcome because I didn't know the hotel only opened after 5 p.m. After checking, it's written in tiny print if you look closely. No one should be able to make a mistake. But the place is beautiful and the staff friendly, we've been coming for a long time and will continue. AC.

a 3 star hotel with no services, no reception, closed all day, which opens the door at 5 p.m. and leaves you in the rain at 4:50 p.m. in front of the door, parking closed at 11 p.m., your car is parked on an unsecured vacant lot. Horrible environment in a commercial and industrial area, very misleading photos, no staff, no reception, ghost hotel closed all day, almost the same key box, worse because the hotel is closed! as there is no one we cannot talk about the professionalism of the teams

Everything ok but we missed a regular sheet on the bed, one towel ( there was only one) and airconditioning didn’t work. The diner was excellent.

During previous trips, we had the opportunity to have lunch at this establishment several times. For this new trip, we opted for an overnight stay. Our room was spacious, overlooking an interior garden. The bathroom met our expectations. As for the food, we were always satisfied...

I won't soon forget this stay at this establishment, mansions and castles in the middle of an industrial zone, impossible to find without GPS. The restaurant seems to be the area's canteen, not even a tablecloth, not even paper! That said, the local menu was very good and the service attentive. On the other hand, I find it petty to charge €2 for a carafe of water. The room was quiet, comfortable, well-equipped and elegantly decorated. Avoid for a romantic getaway.

For us, this magnificent establishment, both in terms of hospitality and catering, is simply perfect in relation to our expectations for a stage of our trip.

Ideal stay for a stopover on the way to the ski resort. I recommend the food which is really good quality with very friendly service. The breakfast products are well above what you usually find, especially the bread.

What a very pleasant surprise this hotel/restaurant was. We only chose Logis Hostellerie la Ferme du Poulet because it was about half way on our drive between Menton and Paris. So happy we found it. Only surprise was arriving at 3:00pm and finding the hotel closed. We had to wait until 5:00pm for the to open. We almost drove away to stay at another hotel. SO SO glad we waited. Merci Beaucoup

magnificent setting - very pleasant junior suite - bathroom a little dated (bathtub a little high and no separate shower, we are both over 75 years old) - excellent and rich cuisine (Lyon region requires it) - we are very satisfied with our stay and keep the address - (no response for the wifi because we use the connection sharing of our mobile phones)

A very charming hotel, friendly welcome, beautiful bathroom, cozy room. Time of arrival we found Laar, we stood in front of closed doors at 16.00, is not hospitable. Time restaurant is also on the late side 19.00 would be better. But compliments for the chef, he cooks really top. Atmosphere in restaurant could be a bit warmer as well as service.

Mine host is the rudest woman in France. We have never experienced such an appalling attitude from anyone in the hospitality industry over the last twenty years having travelled extensively throughout the country going to and from our house in Perpignan. When we arrived at her establishment there was no Wi-Fi and when I said it was disappointing because, as it was my birthday I had arranged to WhatsApp friends and family back in the UK, she launched into a vile verbal attack on me. The word I stressed was DISAPPOINTING and in no way did it suggest she was at fault as she seemed to think. Her English was impeccable so we doubt it was a translation issue. Perhaps she doesn’t like British guests.
She was just a self-opinionated person who dismissed my birthday and the final straw - she wasn’t ever going to speak to me again. Her silence would hardly be conducive to an enjoyable birthday celebration meal in a very average looking restaurant. So we had no choice but to pack our bags and find alternative accommodation for the night. On leaving she shouted that we would be charged for the room.
It was a shocking experience and one we never want repeated.
Subsequently we see we are not being charged for the room - a show of contrition perhaps?

Very warm welcome, the owner is very pleasant and smiling. The small downside at the restaurant, the waiters passed by our table when we arrived, no good evening, even when the waiter brought us the amuse bouche, no good evening did he look at the table next to us and tell us what it was made of. Afterwards the other waiters were more pleasant. For the rest, impeccable hotel, very very good menu meal with an excellent quality-price ratio, ditto for the copious breakfast with a very pleasant waitress.

A very nice discovery!!! It is true that the location of the establishment (in a commercial area) can be confusing when looking for the hotel but on arrival what a nice surprise we do not see the setting at all and we forget the environment so warm is the welcome. I would like to highlight the kindness of the staff and especially of a waiter in the restaurant who was really adorable and took great care of us, and we enjoyed the quality of the food served. In short, a very good stay, to recommend, do not be fooled by the location you will forget it as soon as you have crossed the gate.

Nice boutique hotel for on the way to the south. Reception didn't open until 5pm and we couldn't get into the room until then, so we first explored Villefranche on foot. Half an hour walk to the centre. The only downside was that the air conditioning in the room didn't work properly. Very good restaurant, not cheap but very tasty! Wonderfully relaxed.

Perfect as it should be

The room was very good, the bed good, bathroom ok (we would have preferred a shower instead of a bath). However I was very dissapointed about the restaurant, seating ok, ambiance ok. The food loocked very nice, but it was dissapointing in contents or taste, the entree was acceptable, but the main course was a surprice (not pleasant), I loocked to find someting in it that had some identity, but it was only a mas of dough. The desert was ok. I compare your dinner with the one we had at Le Val Moret (Logis De France vers Troyes), There we were surprised with the quality and the taste, we left the table very satisfied. There fore we would book your hotel only to stay at night, no dinner or breakfast. But we are looking forward to staying again at "Le Val Moret". Sory, we expected a lot from your hotel/restaurant but were very disappointed by the restaurant.

Regarding the hotel, be careful not to arrive on the first day before 5 p.m. because the doors are closed, it is not possible to take the room before or to drop off your luggage, past this hotel curiosity our stay went well. We had dinner two nights in a row and bravo to the chef for the quality and originality of the dishes, it was succulent. Large choice of wines with a very good quality/price ratio.

Great discovery on the way back from vacation

Mooi verblijf in een rustige omgeving Ondanks de industriële le zone waarin het verblijf zich bevindt. Alles correct, lekker eten in een gezellige binnentuin. Kamer en badkamer zeer hygiënisch en ruim. Minpuntje bij het bijt: koffie was niet echt lekker en het vers fruit was poveren niet echt fris.

The elevator was unfortunately broken. We ate outside and so we weren't able to park our car in the hotel's closed parking lot, which was a bit of a shame. The VMC in the room was very noisy, perhaps we did something wrong. Otherwise the welcome was friendly and the room was clean and of good quality.

Unfortunately the lift was out of action but someone did carry our suitcase upstairs. Access to the hotel could be smarter. Restaurant was exceptionally good.

The establishment is of very high quality. The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is silent and pleasant. The restaurant always offers original and even surprising dishes of high taste quality. I loved it, thank you.

A miracle, an oasis in the middle of industrial zones, an adorable welcome, a place in beautiful evolution, a sublime building, a wonderful dinner, total calm. We will come back once again.

Work everywhere... Excavators, grinders from 7 a.m.... Huge light spot lit all night with no shutters on the bedroom windows.... Zero indication of where to pass, you have to slalom between the piles of earth, the tools.... I had to go out through the kitchens in the morning.... Honestly when we do work of this magnitude... We close for a few days... Especially given the prices charged!

I had specifically requested a twin room, unfortunately this request was forgotten. This can happen and I don't hold it against it but traveling with my daughter, it's a regrettable mistake. The hotel apologized for this but being full there was no way to correct this error. I think now they will be more careful because it was really embarrassing.

A very good table, a very comfortable room, the garden is currently under construction but it is very good for a stopover.

A warm welcome when we arrived and patience with our awful attempt at speaking French. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the addition of the breakfast room was a great idea.

Big kudos to the staff! We wanted to leave early in the morning, but because the gate does not open until 7.30 am, we were surprised with a key to open the door to the outside ourselves so that we could still leave at 6.00 am!

Beautiful old building but there was building work going on outside. The garden is being landscaped and I have no doubt it will be lovely when it is finished but we couldn’t go outside or walk around it. The entrance was beautiful with contemporary styling unfortunately the lift wasn’t working. The bedroom corridor needs robe redecorated. The bedroom was comfortable but the paint on one of the walls was chipped. The en-suite bathroom was nicely decorated unfortunately there was only a hand held shower in the bath. The simple addition of a shower holder higher up the wall would solve this. Plus also a grab rail for getting out of the bath particularly for older people. Dinner and breakfast were excellent as were the staff.

An excellent address, the warm welcome, the delicious restaurant, the spacious rooms. Everything is there, I recommend. The work in progress outside suggests a future superb garden.

We must ignore the external environment, a gigantic industrial zone. On the other hand, once within the walls of the property, everything is charming. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The restaurant is of a very good standard and offers sophisticated and generous cuisine. A very good value for money

The entrance to the hotel industry is difficult to find. The environment is not attractive. The rooms are spacious and neatly furnished. Dinner was fantastic (menu for €38.00). The wine, a chardonnay at 25 euros per bottle, was delicious. We spent 270 euros for the hotel room, breakfast and dinner with wine and coffee.

Intrigued by the name of the hotel, we thought that the reputation of Bressian gastronomy would not disappoint us, which was proven to exceed our expectations. We promised to come back after the planned work was completed.

For travelers there should be the possibility of having a simple, balanced dish and not necessarily gourmet. On this condition I will come back very often during my numerous annual trips from Belgium to the Var. For the rest everything is really good for a very reasonable price.

A remarkable step. Excellent meal. Perfect room. Two downsides: despite high quality products, the price of breakfast is too expensive considering the variety and quantity of products offered. A shower head would have been perfect.
