Perfect
Good evening, my review concerns a stay from September 16 to 17, 2025. Unfortunately, I came with my wife with a smartbox, so we were put in room 7!! to "avoid the completely ruined bedding, the deplorable sanitary facilities, plus there was no toilet paper? We called the person at reception "not very friendly" who moved us to a superior room which is only superior in name, a little bigger but nothing exceptional, the bathroom is old, a large bathtub but the taps seem backwards, a toilet with a macerator, what discretion for the night. Cascading electrical extensions, I'm not sure if that's legal? The bedding was better than the first but nothing amazing. An outdoor pool that we had to use but it wasn't heated, plus it was green, the exteriors were not maintained, leaves everywhere, greenish tables and chairs, when you see 3 stars you expect better. For the evening meal, it started well, starter TB, however, for the main course, stew in red wine with low-cost beef, the sauce was so reduced that it became inedible (icing on the cake our dishes were served to another table where people started to eat after seeing the mistake the waiter took the plates and went back to the kitchen, we were served these dishes again 2-3 minutes after the meat in sauce we didn't really see the difference on the other hand the vegetable platter was cold, we didn't eat the main course and another table also sent back the same dish "reduced sauce, too bitter. for the dessert which was supposed to be homemade we were told that it came from a pastry chef in town. for breakfast it was positive there was a good buffet which made us forget our bad experience a little. in short I do not recommend this hotel I don't know who distributes the stars but honestly it's not worth 3 stars. I decided to leave a comment because when you see the photos on the web and see what you saw on site you have the impression that you have been had.
We loved this beautiful hotel and spend a very good night in a lovely room! It also had a cosy high quality restaurant were we absolutely enjoyed our dinner (and which had very good options for us despite our restricted budget). Also the people were lovely! An absolut recommendation!
Not the wine on the menu. Missing the butter knife and not possible to get one, it's in short supply. It was freezing in the room, luckily there was a space heater. On the other hand, there is no heating in the restaurant, you don't enjoy a meal when you're freezing.
Friendly welcome, very good establishment, excellent room and food. The services described are there. A few minor drawbacks: I didn't receive the email for the SPA time slot, but it was well managed upon our arrival. The room was rather cool upon our arrival. We would have liked a little more heat after a day outside. The SPA massage chairs were not very effective.
The Relais de la Source is surely one of the best Logis de France that I have been able to visit in recent years. If you like old stones, books, great cuisine and great wines, do not hesitate. There is a search for excellence without it being stuffy, there is harmony in the whole and something atypical that made my stay unforgettable. I hope to return there as soon as possible.
Great hotel, rural location, nice room, only no air conditioning. Everything was clean, and the staff were very friendly. The only thing that was a bit disappointing, especially considering the price, was the breakfast.

Very warm welcome and kindness from the staff. Regarding the room, two slats of the bed base were broken, bedding too soft, too old. Bathroom too old, a bathtub with peeling paint. Noisy pool area with cars passing nearby. Excessively expensive drinks.

Lamentable from start to finish! Dinner upon arrival: 1 hour wait for the appetizer and the 12 euro glass of wine less than a quarter full, a remark made to the waiters without taking into account. Bread served in dribs and drabs so that the starter was cold upon arrival. What manners for a 3-course meal served in 2 hours 15 minutes with 22 place settings and 3 waiters! 2 nights booked in a standard room. 1st wake-up call: cold shower [we were later told that there was a power cut during the night without a single apology for the inconvenience]. The same day, upon returning from a motorcycle trip: room not made up, no more toilet paper, only 1 bath towel changed, no more shower gel in the container! And I pass the swimming pool [more of a paddling pool], the pestilential smell of the open-air garbage in the parking lot that follows you once you're lying on the deckchairs, the "private" wellness area that isn't when other guests come to help themselves to something to eat or drink. Not to mention the owner who calls you a "slut" [?????] and orders you to "get out" of the hotel when the tone rises at the statement of the accumulation of inconveniences in a 3-star hotel that absolutely doesn't deserve them! Right to the end: at the check-in the morning of departure: 186 euro error on the bill!! That's the cherry on the cake!! In short, atrocious, to be wiped off the map! When you're showing off, you either stay in charge or change jobs... Good luck!

Aside from a hot water issue in our room and the sauna not working, everything else was great! The restaurant is exceptional!

We really appreciated the gift from our friends thanks to the Logis Relais de la Source. While we had a nice surprise when we discovered our suite, we were disappointed by the service during our visit to the restaurant in the evening. Our starters were forgotten, which lengthened the service... A commercial gesture would have been appreciated.
The staff welcome is impeccable but the very very mediocre services do not correspond to the high price of the rooms described as standard. Small room without air conditioning.....threaded sheets, holes!?! Room not ready when we arrived, checkout time 10:30 a.m. Excellent breakfasts: fresh and homemade products, professional and welcoming staff
The experience was fantastic, the personnel were very friendly and available. All of the above are equally at the restaurant, here it is simply sublime: the dishes are well-soigned, very creative and truly delicious. We will certainly return once again!

The room was small, dark, uncomfortable and loud!
Beautiful building. The wisteria in bloom is magnificent. However, the stairs are narrow and dark. Poor communication from reception regarding important information such as the locked entrance. Had to look for an exit at 5 a.m.!
We stayed here several times before when it was the Hotel de La Poste. There was nothing on-line to notify the name change and I was lucky to find it, as I did not think it would have ceased trading. I am glad I found it as we had a pleasant stay - and I must say the new owner has improved it! The only slight problem was that we booked on line and took the room plus breakfast and dinner option. Apparently this should not have been available, but the waitress took it all in her stride and organised food for us. There was no choice, so we had to eat what was offered, but it was fine. Each course was served with an explanation, which we thought was a pleasant addition to the dining experience! Breakfast was extremely good with a very attentive manageress.
We will visit again, I'm sure.

Hot water problem on our arrival .... lukewarm then cold shower, resolved the next morning. Correct room but which had not been heated before our arrival so cold, very good bedding, very cramped bathroom. Gourmet restaurant but I was disappointed with the value for money of the tasting menu whose choice is left to the will of the chef (very explicitly announced). In 4 courses, certainly we took advantage of the local specialties but for the price I expected more noble products. The quality of the preparations was there. We enjoyed ourselves but I regret the price too high for what was offered

The staff and food were all excellent. The stay would have been perfect but due to a boiler problem the room was very cold and we had no hot water for a bath or shower. I hope to visit again and experience the hotel at its best.

We had a romantic getaway for my partner's birthday. A weekend without a false note. A charming and accommodating welcome. The hotel room where we were kindly upgraded for the event. The delicious meal and wise advice both for the choice of cheeses and for the food and wine pairing. The spa: Jacuzzi and Sauna in a sublime setting. The relaxation area and these little attentions greatly appreciated. Thank you to each of you for this beautiful moment.

Welcoming, courteous, professional and proactive staff. Small drawbacks, no towels offered during the sauna and bath relaxation time, no toothpaste or other necessary in the bathroom except the dispenser of knowledge in the shower, and the lack of a small glass bowl as a lampshade on the bathroom light fixture (present on one of the two). A delicious meal with a lot of preparation, neat and refined.
If you don't have any food, it's all very easy to use and you'll get some excellent results!

Only problem, I booked on the computer platform for one day and at the hotel the reservation was for the next day ... Nevertheless the staff quickly found a solution (off-peak period).

Very good food but the service is not up to par (had to ask for water 3 times when the restaurant was almost empty; scarf forgotten on my chair that was found but not brought back to me). Pleasant outdoor jacuzzi and sauna.

Lovely character hotel with rooms and common areas recently renovated.
However we did not get on with the "blind" dinner menu arrangement and were disappointed. We tried to find out from the waiting staff what sort of food was on the "Menus dégustation de la Source" ranging from 77 euros for 4 services to 115 euro for 7 (without cheese) We took the 4 service. Given the price our expectation was built up for an excellent meal of surprises chosen by the chef. Although the food was good it was not wow in our opinion. Amuse bouche was very good, starter of egg in a mushroom and pork sauce with burgundy sauce we enjoyed, main of a bowl with two small pieces of beef in burgundy sauce (again?), with a saucer of julienne courgette in a creamy sauce was a bit disappointing although well cooked and lovely beef. Pre dessert and dessert were good though and we enjoyed them but not excellent and did not equate to the pictures on the website. Perhaps better if we had been told the items on the a la carte menu (choice of 2 starters, 3 mains, 2 desserts) were what you get chosen by the chef and then chosen ourselves and set our expectation better. For this level of price we would have expected a little more. So sorry, this menu did not work for us and did not feel value for money. Service and restaurant ambience was very good though.
When guests arrive, they wander around in front of the hotel and cannot find the entrance to the reception!
Perfect stay! Small downside on the quality of the meal served in the room (no vinaigrette on the salad, meat overcooked and not salty, fries too salty). I will come back without problem.

Wonderfully romantic hotel with a great garden and spa. Absolutely quiet location, great ambience. The restaurant is one of the absolute highlights, food like in God in France.
Delicious, inventive cuisine that subtly combines flavors. Perfect dinners and breakfast. Reception staff and very professional service, friendly and even with a touch of humor. Cramped and dated room with a small, unmaintained terrace with shabby furniture. A bit of a shame for the asking prices. Despite the great finesse of the cuisine, we estimate the prices to be a little overestimated.

Everything was great. Nice with spa even though we didn't use it. Excellent dinner!!!! But the very young and clumsy girl that served us should have had some more training with a good mentor before she would have been put to serve guests. I did really feel sorry for her and she didn't always understand what we said or wanted. (in French!)

A very satisfying evening stopover, a total change of scenery from the Paris region after a day of occasional work in your region, 1st stay last year very satisfactory so I repeated this year. In addition, the jacuzzi/spa service for a very well-received moment of relaxation for an equally satisfactory price. The comfort of the rooms at the top and tasteful decoration, the little caramels on the bed a little appreciated and very pleasant touch :) The nougats and caramels available for sale also very good :)

For information, I usually go on vacation to the USA, Switzerland in particular, and live in IDF; my opinion on the price is well thought out and informed

We booked a wellness stay (room, restaurant and spa) by phone last year. This stay included dinner and breakfast. We specifically went to this hotel on the recommendation of our family because the restaurant seemed very good and the hotel confirmed to us that the restaurant would be open. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed. We could not have booked this wellness stay that day. This was a mistake by the staff with whom we made the reservation, we were obviously very disappointed. The staff obviously felt very guilty and to make up for it, the hotel gave us a voucher for a Wellness stay, which we took advantage of 2 months later. This time the restaurant was open and what a dining experience! Really great! The room with jacuzzi was magnificent. Absolutely recommended, but remember that the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Poor quality mattresses, and no heating in the bathroom! just a small blower which was hidden in the cupboard... real heating in this type of establishment is in our opinion a minimum... Standard room but ultimately a little expensive compared to the services, even if the bathroom is brand new, the furniture in the room has already lived (too much) time... a shame because otherwise the hotel is very good.
Very decent room, very clean bathroom and toilet, however cleaning under the bed not done, remains of false red petals under the bed at the edge visible from the entrance to the room and especially the carpet under the living room table with an upturned corner ( dangerous) but above all very very dirty having removed 2 tufts of hair on it Too bad compared to a high-end kitchen which deserves the price of the menus the room is below

Very good kitchen, but the room leaves something to be desired: broken sink, bathtub with marks, shower without pressure and toilet not very clean. The bedding is hollow, the carpet very old. Parking lot with dog droppings. In short, it is high time to renovate everything and be more demanding about cleanliness.
We had a pleasant stay in this hotel, the standard room is warm and welcoming, the breakfast was generous. Access to the jacuzzi and sauna is a pleasant plus! Very good 4-course meal!
