What a table!!! Very good meal and top service
Welcome, catering, breakfast, everything is done to ensure you have a very pleasant stay.
Very friendly welcome. Quiet hotel. Very tasty restaurant.
Spent one night en route from Spain to Caen and although we enjoyed our stay we wouldn’t return. The gardens and restaurant area are very attractive but our room, on the ground floor, was in definite need of upgrading. It was dark, very outdated and there was no air conditioning although a fan was provided.
Dinner was acceptable but was nothing special for the price.
I have stayed at this hotel 5 times and the last 2 times in room 1. It is in front of reception, with a lot of traffic, noise, and a view of the restaurant (so it is impossible to open the curtains or the window). Instead of air conditioning, there is an old, extremely noisy fan, so it is impossible to sleep... unacceptable for a 3-star hotel.
Friendly welcome, very professional table service, good food. The hotel's decor is a bit dated... it feels like the 70s... of that era. A little refresh would be welcome. Otherwise, the bedding was excellent, and the setting was very pleasant for a stopover.
The restaurant was very good. The hotel was shabby.
Made an online booking more than month prior to the date of stay. Two weeks before the date I received a notice of cancellation, however I continued to receive email reminders from the hotel and now the day after I was due to stay I receive a survey asking how my stay was!!!
Disappointing. The ground floor room smelled of mold. Dinner: The menu is less extensive; the quality of the dishes has declined compared to the previous year with the change of owner/manager. It's a shame; it used to be a nice stop on our route.
Everything is done to ensure you see clearly. Every member of staff is attentive and smiles, both in the hotel and in the restaurant.

We had been here several times and I think the quality of the hotel is going down. The problem is on many small details which I cannot explain them one by one. But especially the restaurant and the night reception are very deficient.
I have been going to this hotel restaurant regularly for 30 years, I have known the successive owners who have added their little extra touches to this establishment. The quality of the cuisine is just exceptional, fresh products, recipes, surprising and delicious. Even the menu étape which is often simple and family in other establishments, at Comodoliac the menu étape is a little gastro! Thanks to Rémi who thought to put my dish warm when I had to urgently leave the restaurant for a phone call. Thanks to Louane who discreetly made sure that I did not miss anything. For the hotel part, indeed, the bathrooms deserve a little touch of modernity and freshness, apart from that the rooms are very nice, nicely decorated and the bedding very comfortable. Bravo to Cathy who is faithful to the post and who takes great care (she found me a small object forgotten in my room and brought it back to me at breakfast) Looking forward to coming back next month

A COMFORTABLE ROOM WITH A LARGE BED ok. As decoration on the walls nails!!!. Peeling wall paint, curtain unhooked on part of the rod. Bathroom with an old bathtub. Peeling bottom. Old sink, faucets from another era, light fixture that you put in a garage. Paint on the bathroom window frame black, VMC was missing the cover. Doors to the bedroom frame dirty. to hang bath towels or clothes nails, holes in the wall. No soundproofing, your neighbor urinates no worries you can hear it, same for "the poop" same for the shower. Large trees in front of the window. A room where you have nightmares. I do not recommend unless you do some work. I put one star but if I could put zero it would be perfect
The room was relatively small and although there was a bathtub in the bathroom, you had to get into the tub to take a shower.
Close to very busy road, rooms need renovation, carpets have old stains, old shower in bath, paper on walls getting loose, rooms very warm no airco, bed gear was for winter not adequate for summer water heater broken - all in all pictures do not reflect reality any longer. Breakfast on Sunday only till 930. Person at service desk not dressed appropriate.
We had a most enjoyable stay, with delicious dinner. It would have been nice to have a room with a view.

I would like to mention that I was woken up at 1am because of the heat radiated by the duvet and its cover. At that time I had no desire to take this large duvet out of its cover to use only the cover as a light blanket. So I took a bath towel, which is not the primary purpose, as a blanket. It is unfortunate that a flat sheet is not part of the bed linen to be used under the duvet. At home, it's been a while since I used duvet covers, which are difficult to put on, complicated to remove, heavy to wash and complicated to iron and, if you're not careful, change them as much as flat sheets. , unhygienic. Also, I place a duvet like a blanket on a flat sheet and over a warm bedspread in winter, lighter in summer. Which do not need as much washing and decorate a bed more nicely, well squared. In summary, I have resumed the habits formerly known before the arrival of duvets and their covers, more economical habits. If your bed had been equipped this way I wouldn't have had to cover myself with a bath towel.
We booked the hotel as a stopover on our holiday. We were greeted by the owner/manager who was very friendly and informative. Our room and bathroom were a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable . The room and hotel were spotlessly clean.
We had an excellent meal in the restaurant which was one of the best we’ve had in some time.
We would definitely stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

We received a warn welcome at the hotel and our room was comfortable. A small mix-up was quickly sorted out with good humour. Staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a super meal in the restaurant. This was a very enjoyable stay.
