Superb hotel! The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The view of the garden was lovely. The hotel was very quiet. The restaurant was excellent! In short, I highly recommend this beautiful place and hope to be in the area again soon so I can return.

If you're reading this, it's because you're looking for a Logis hotel on the edge of the Alabaster Coast. A tip from a Logis enthusiast: look no further, you've found the right place. Click "book" now, you won't regret it. This hotel is located in a charming village 6 kilometers from Dieppe, offering the benefits of peaceful village life far from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were immediately captivated upon arrival by the charming building, which once served as a coaching inn. Inside, it hides a magnificent park where, in season, hellebore lovers can discover some truly beautiful specimens. The house is very well maintained, spotlessly clean, and intentionally preserved in its original state – phew! The spacious and comfortable room features a very comfortable bed with a mattress topper and a lovely, bright, and functional bathroom. Breakfast, served at the table, was a real treat, as this is becoming increasingly rare. The buffet offered a selection of pastries as well as sweet and savory local products. Overall, a huge thumbs up for everything: the warm welcome from the owner, the service, the comfort, the cleanliness, the amenities, the value for money – in short, flawless. The restaurant is beautiful, just the way we like it. White is the dominant color, a welcome change from the dark, even black, funeral-house-like dining rooms that we unfortunately see more and more often, supposedly because they're "trendy." The tables are spaced far apart, promoting intimacy, and are all covered with white tablecloths (that too is becoming a luxury), each adorned with a beautiful tableware set. I understand that this requires additional logistics and expense, but it's simply stunning. And to top it all off, the service, provided by friendly and dedicated staff, is impeccable and highly professional. What more could you ask for? While the experience has been flawless so far, as mentioned above, the best is yet to come. The food! Goodness, it's delicious! An excellent menu featuring primarily local products, all cooked with love and, above all, expertise. It was refined, delicious, generous, and the icing on the cake: the hot dishes were artfully presented on... hot plates! A minor detail, you might say? Not at all; it's a fundamental aspect of cooking that many restaurateurs have forgotten. Le Clos Normand proves once again that you don't need to frequent Michelin-starred restaurants to enjoy excellent cuisine. On the autumn menu: the Neuchâtel crisp, which is absolutely not to be missed. Go there, good people, you won't be disappointed; in fact, almost all the reviews preceding ours attest to this. Bravo to the entire team.

This establishment has become my favorite address for my business trips to the Dieppe area. A charming welcome, a gourmet restaurant with great options even for overnight stays, very clean rooms with deliberately "in its own juice" decor but with all the amenities. It won't appeal to fans of cold, sanitized modernity. A large courtyard for parking overlooking a beautiful park.

We've stayed at this hotel several times. It's a beautiful old building with a pleasant atmosphere, thanks in part to the friendly staff. The restaurant is good. Only the bathroom is a bit dated.

Slightly dated in decor.
The bathroom in room seven is potentially dangerous for people with limited mobility as the shower is quite high from the floor.
On arrival the toilet was quite smelly but the toilet was addressed on notifying the reception.
The bed was very comfortable.

Beautiful hotel grounds and buildings. Attentive friendly staff. Only small gripes were our (4 person annex room) had no windows that could open in toilet and bathroom also no louvre window in main bedroom so was too warm and no air

Very relaxing hotel, well located for exploring the surrounding area.

Very disappointed with this hotel which is a bit out of character compared to the Logis brand. The welcome was friendly but distant and unprofessional: it doesn't cost anything to ask if the trip went well and if you need assistance with your luggage. Regarding the way to the room: "follow the path to the stairs you see over there, then the room is on the right in the corridor, if you can't find it come back and see me and I'll show it to you." We've had better introductions. The establishment is old and completely dilapidated. Our "suite" (actually a large and a very small bedroom, no sitting area) was full of humidity, after a 3-night stay our clothes stored in the wardrobe were completely damp, the bathroom accessories (which deserves 100% renovation) are rusty and there are traces of humidity (mold) on the walls and ceilings. There was hair in this bathroom upon our arrival. There are traces of water damage in the ceiling of the corridor and very pronounced stains on the carpet. Even the concrete of the access path to the rooms is degraded, to the point that it is difficult to roll a trolley on it. Limited choice at breakfast and industrial products (pastries). Very very limited coffee. The only positive point is the park and its facilities along the river: soothing. Stay in August 2025, 3 nights in the "junior suite" n° 4. I will not return.

A very beautiful establishment, nestled in a lovely environment. The welcome and service were top notch! Excellent dinner at the restaurant. We will return with great pleasure.

Over all a good overnight stay. Large room and bed. But found the room a bit warm. You can open the large window in the room , but it opens onto the walk way to the rest of the rooms . Could not find away of securing the window to let in air . Also the lights for the walk way are on all night , so if window was open any breeze or wind would move the curtain and let light in. An electric pedestal fan would have helped.

Fabulous place to stay. Ancient old farmhouse/hotel with ultra modern rooms. Beautiful location. It was the best hotel I stayed in France.

How long have I got? It is a lovely hotel and my one night stay, which included dinner and breakfast, was far beyond my expectation. The welcome was warm, the service excellent and the dinner was superb. To cap it all, the garden is beautiful. How many hotel gardens have a fast flowing river along it's border! I'm trying to think of an excuse to go back. I should perhaps add tgat I'm 82, and travelled there from Norfolk on my motor bike. Although I hadn't specifically asked for it, I was allocated room 11 which I'm sure is for the disabled. But it suited me just fine! Thanks to everyone there.

Lovely hotel with comfortable and clean bedroom. Unfortunately reception staff on arrival were not welcoming. In spite of us having driven all day the lady on reception / evening manager refused to provide even a drink let alone food due to them being in ‘full service’ in the restaurant. Poor customer service leaving my wife and I feeling as if we were unwelcome.

Lovely hotel in a peaceful hamlet yet close to Dieppe. Idyllic gardens with birdsong and a river. Room was spacious, bathroom a little worn but functional. We loved the location, the gardens, the breakfast and the superb restaurant. It was a restaurant of dreams, highly recommend eating here. We wish we had been staying during one of their event nights where they have dinner snd music in the garden.
We loved exploring the surrounding area, so easy from the port of Dieppe.

A lovely French hotel set in beautiful grounds. Very comfortable room, but the pillows were too soft! Excellent restaurant and good breakfast. Friendly staff. It would be have been good to have hard-surface access and parking space in the car park for motorcycles. The deep pebble/gravel surface was too much for my confidence! However, a wide pavement just outside the entrance was OK for parking the bike.

This was our third visit to what is probably our favourite Logis.
Beautiful garden with river and tables by the river to sit and relax with a drink.
Room design is appropriate to the age of the buildings - full of character, but still with contemporary comfort.
Modern, clean, bathroom with walk-in shower.
Restaurant menu is excellent. Logis only classify it as "gourmand", but I feel that it is better than some they give their higher classification of "savoureux", and one of these is probably our second favourite.
And the house speciality of a Grand Marnier Soufflé (which must have been on the menu for over a decade) is probably worth a journey in its own right.

Lovely boutique hotel, beautiful in spring. Came on a Monday, restaurant closed. Can't wait to come back to try the food.

Wonderful setting by the river with a beautiful garden. Just right for a relaxing glass of wine in the evening. A few minutes drive from Dieppe and the Normandy coast.
Lovely, friendly staff. Comfy bed, a room with character, and all we needed for a three night stay. Restaurant was outstanding, and breakfasts were excellent. We have plans to return.

A lovely hotel, comfortable rooms and a great restaurant. The bedroom heating didn't seem to function which wasn't a big problem as bathroom heating was fine.
We would love to return in the summer but unfortunately the restaurant does not accept dogs and we will then be travelling with our dog.

Just disappointed not to have noticed that there was no catering on Mondays. Otherwise, the welcome, room, bedding and breakfast were very good.

Two nights in this establishment, two fire alarms between three and four in the morning without the slightest sign of apology or empathy. Bathroom floor tiles need to be redone, dirty joints and brown limescale deposits under the sink. Outside entrance door not flush with the frame. Double non-blackout curtains letting in too much light from the outside lighting.

We had a wonderful time. Sophie and her team were all so friendly and professional. We felt very relaxed throughout the stay. The food was excellent in both quality and value for money. We would have no hesitation in returning.

Conveniently placed near to Dieppe port, Clos du Normand was a delightful small hotel with an excellent gourmet restaurant. Every part of the dinner was superb. Breakfast was good, but not special. Room was large and decorated in a quirky, fun way. A far cry from the usualmodern souless rooms seen in chain hotels

Perfect restaurant, hotel needs some updating

Beautiful setting, average breakfast (the half-bread from a supermarket still in the bag would at least deserve to be taken out) for a 3 star. Room in its original condition. Bathroom would deserve a little refresh. Fair price.

The hotel is situated in a very attractive group of old buildings and surrounded by beautiful riverside grounds with a variety of good seating opportunities. We were welcomed by a friendly lady who helped our inadequate French with her excellent English - and who came outside to find us to serve our drinks in the beautiful garden. Access to our room was up a flight of wooden stairs, quite difficult with heavy luggage and impossible for anyone with mobility problems. The room was not large but reasonably well equipped (apart from the lack of a proper wardrobe or other storage for clothes) and the bed, made up with good quality linen, was comfortable. It was very cold inside (although the weather was sunny, the outside temperature was not above 14deg and it dropped to low single figures overnight). No sign of any heating being switched on, nor of towel rails being heated. The shower was rather eccentric, difficult to control temperature. The much anticipated dinner was disappointing. The serving staff were friendly and efficient but much of the food, although well presented, lacked the flavour to justify the restaurant's reputation or its prices. The dining room is attractive (and the only warm room in the hotel, based on this experience) and was fully booked on this evening. Breakfast was a mixed bag - no staff visible when we arrived, the buffet needed replenishment and we waited almost twenty minutes for coffee. Over all, we felt the hotel and restaurant do not live up to their beautiful appearance and location and, were we to visit again, we would bring our own portable heating appliance and probably eat elsewhere.

Travelling from Calais to a holiday in South Brittany we stayed at this hotel twice, outbound and return. We picked it based on its location and from reading online reviews. We like Logis hotels generally because of their individualism, quite removed from chain accommodations, and because they mostly also contain their own restaurant. Le Clos Normand rates very highly in our view. As accommodation it is adequate but with many pluses: it's beautifully located in an appealing small town; the buildings themselves are attractive and the quality of the welcome excellent. The attached restaurant we found exceptional. We dined on both occasions and were much impressed both in terms of the quality of the meals and the attention and advice of the staff. Be aware that if you have an English appetite and expect heaped plates you'll be disappointed. If you want a meal that focuses instead on quality and presentation this will more than fit the bill. I doubt we'll pass this way again but if we did we'd be delighted to stay again. Very highly recommended.

Hotel well run by the new owner, as we have known this hotel for a few years we were able to see the renovation of some rooms and the improvements overall with the restaurant which has managed to maintain its quality in this peaceful and idyllic setting.

Super room with separate toilet,bathroom nearly half the size of some rooms we have had. China cups for tea making. Excellent restaurant reasonable prices. But 9 euros for a beer WiFi needs improving. Beautiful gardens. Acces to our bedroom was outside so if you leave your room when it's raining you will get wet!. Super find

Very well presented and professional hotel

One of the best hotels I have ever been lucky enough to visit. I visit more than 50 a year.

On arrival, no light in the toilets. Bathroom and toilet handles that did not hold. Water remained in the kettle. TV network to be reviewed (missing channels among other things...). On the other hand, the courtesy tray was very good.

Lovely setting in an extensive planted garden alongside the river. Newly refurbished room, spacious, comfortable and with a view of tge garden. Good restaurant. Limited but adequate breakfast. We arrived at 3 and couldn't get in. Clients need to be told in advance that the reception is closed until 4pm. We were short shorts!

Lovely ambience and excellent restaurant but the experience was let down by the quality of the bathroom. The bath/shower is raised up so the top is about 80cm above the floor and a portable step is provided, but for elderly people this is unsafe and daunting. The shower isn't thermostatically controlled so the temperature can vary if other rooms run hot water.
It's a pity that this issue spoiled what could have been a perfect break.

Actually I don't want to share this hotel because it is so good😀 we have been here for the 4th time and it gets better every time.

Very beautiful setting, the garden invites you to relax, it's pleasant. Friendly welcome, great availability of staff. The room is pretty but could do with some updating. The bathroom is small. The shower bath is very high, which is not practical. However, we had an excellent stay. We will come back.

This is a very special and restful hotel, at which we have really enjoyed staying several times all aspects are excellent, it's setting by the river Arques is truly beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant is excellent. For me l'Auberge du Clos North is the ideal small country inn.

Lovely old hotel in a town setting, with attractive gardens with a river running through the grounds.
Our room was well furnished and spacious, with a large well appointed bathroom.
Our stay was spoilt by a complete lack of soundproofing and guests above us who made excessive noise returning at 3.30 am, with no consideration for other guests !!
The restaurant was full of character and food and service were good.
Wi-Fi signal was somewhat weak !

A most pleasant welcome. Staff always smiling and attentive. Refined cuisine. Spacious and very clean room. Bedding of excellent comfort. The entire estate is very well maintained and magnificently planted with various flowers and shrubs. Watercourse at the bottom of the estate where it is nice to relax, read or have a drink! A big thank you to all the teams. We will not hesitate to return if the opportunity arises.

Beautiful place by the stream with a good restaurant

It's a nice hotel. I can recommend it. Above all, the parking lot is safe. You can also park your car easily with bikes on a rear rack.

Having booked my first night here after sailing into Dieppe, I booked again for the night prior to my departure.

The team are superb, the hotel and gardens leading down to the river are delightful and the food is excellent.

I will definitely be back on my next trip.

Very beautiful setting with beautiful garden and river. Very good restaurant. There were 9 of us so we had the rooms on the 2nd floor to ourselves. Pretty, clean and very practical rooms for the suites with a special children's area. Very good restaurant with refined but hearty cuisine. The only problem is for the children's menu which was refined (puree, vegetables and sauce and chicken). Pasta, fries, nuggets or ground steak would have done the trick. Even though it was very good, the children didn't eat it. The rest was perfect. Good value for money.

The room is pleasant, but we feel that the maintenance is not optimized. The bed is "soft" which gives me back pain, but that's a matter of personal choice.
