La Locanda del Conte Mameli is located within easy walking distance of the Expo (important venue for conferences and exhibitions), the church of San Paolo, the Basilica of San Simplicio. There are many interesting archaeological sites to visit: the Nuraghe Riu Mulinu (Cabu Abbas), the Tomb of the Giants of Su Monte de S'Abe, the nuraghic Holy Well of Sa Testa, Punic walls. In the historic centre are two period buildings: the town hall and the Simpliciana library. A few kilometres from the town you can admire the protected marine area "Tavolara-Punta Coda Cavallo", from which stands out, rising to an altitude of more than 500m, the large island of Tavolara. The crystal clear sea and beautiful white beaches of the Costa Smeralda are within very easy reach.
