Une très belle expérience dans un hôtel installé dans des bâtiments anciens très bien rénovés, au coeur du centre-ville de Langres. Le forfait soirée étape (dîner - nuitée - petit déjeuner) est très intéressant et pratique.

Leider sind die Zimmer schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Toilettenspülung funktionierte nicht richtig und musste selbst repariert werden, Sehr verschmutzter Abzug in der Toilette, was dann aber Tags darauf gereinigt war. Kaputter Rollladen am Fenster beim ersten Besuch - Gurt hing nur lose an der Wand.
Auf der Reise nach Süd- Frankreich immer wieder ein netter Zwischenstopp.

We visit this hotel for many years, and enjoy staying there half way our destiny.the breakfast and restaurant are excellent, the rooms pleasant, some members of the staff should try to be a little bit more friendly. It proved to be difficult to contact the hotel by telephone, a point to keep in mind. It ised to be much more easier.
Good evening stopover. It's a shame that parking is becoming increasingly difficult.

The lady at reception was not friendly at all, and showing us the place for the car in the garage even VERY unkind.
Please inform your guests that the main hotel building, including the restaurant, is complemented by another building located opposite. Especially in winter and in the rain...it's a shame to have to go back outside and cross the street for dinner and breakfast...not very comfortable.
We stayed here twice for one night, with one week in between. Both times the staff gave us an unwelcome feeling. Not a smile or friendly word, very little words all together.
In both the rooms we stayed in the water for the shower / bath in the room got lukewarm at best but sometimes even went just cold.
The rooms were neat and clean and the food was good.

My wife and I were disappointed by a number of details which, taken together, spoiled our experience. At the restaurant, the plate on which my foie gras was served was dirty (with numerous fingerprints), and I was disappointed by the foie gras itself, which—at €26—could have been of better quality. The carafe in which our water was served was also dirty. My wife's risotto and my piece of meat were tasty and attractively presented. The bathroom sink tap had no hot water. The toilet paper holder was broken, and the bathroom, while perfectly clean when we were there, was very outdated.

It is a nice hotel in the heart of Langres, the reception, room and restaurant have a great ambiance, the dining experience is really good, the beds and room very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we ever had! We certainly come back!

The receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful when it became clear I had booked for the wrong night - 1 day later. My heart sank and marginal panic set in as I wondered what I would do with my elderly parents, my two children and dog for the night! Luckily for me, there was just one family room left, so the receptionist calmly moved my booking, showed me to the room and told me I could now relax. Great facilities, lovely bedding and everything we needed, but most importantly for me the amazing young lady who saved my day! Thank you and we will happily return (on the right day!) 😃
Certainly a good and afordable place for a stay in Langres . Room access could be problematic for people with handicap,at least for the upper level.
The reception appears to be managed by two people: a woman and a man. The keys were handed over this Saturday by a woman, and her welcome and friendliness were very much appreciated. However, we dealt with her male colleague for information over the phone and for assistance in parking my vehicle at the hotel garage. On the phone, I seemed to be bothering him by asking questions that, for him, had obvious answers. Once there, he didn't say a word until we reached the parking space in the garage, where, once again, he seemed reluctant to take me.

I come at this hotel since 1989 and the quality is always good. Good hospitality, Nice room, good food. I recxomend it as a very nice stay for travellers.
The rooms are very well appointed. The meals are excellent and the staff is really friendly and attentive to the customer. In addition, the establishment is located in the city center, which makes it easy to visit this historic city on foot.

Lovely hotel with helpful and attentive staff. Parking can be interesting if you don't book ahead but there's room to unload your car at the front of the hotel and several public car parks are not too far away.

This is a very old hotel. We stayed in the annex where it was very quiet. The bedding was very good, the bathroom and toilet were functional but a little old. The staff was super nice, friendly, and efficient! The meal was far superior to most of the restaurants we frequented and for a reasonable price. Overall, the short stay was very successful.

Great place to stay on our first night as we travelled south through France. Nice room with comfortable bed, in a peaceful part of town but only just off the main street; an ideal location. Great breakfast. Parking is available at extra cost in a secure garage at additional cost, but is also available easily for free on the roads around.

We are sorry for your negative feedback. What particularly upsets us is the fact that upon your departure you did not make any comments to the reception, nothing satisfied you and yet you did not mention anything to us. The room is as said, all the more standard. For a closet you still have a toilet, a bathroom, a desk and chair as well as a bed 160 * 180cm. You have photos of the rooms when you made the reservation, so you knew what to expect. When you book the cheapest room you cannot expect great luxury. Also you say that you were not satisfied with the reception as well as the team, it would have been good for us to develop a minimum so that we can speak to the people concerned and in the future improve.

The narrow streets of the hilltop fortress of Langres had my satnav fooled for a while but once I worked out where we were and found the place all went well. In the perfect location in a jewell of an ancient city, we found the hotel's personnel friendly and efficient and our Premium Double was above expectations for a three star hotel. Spotlessly clean throughout and tastefully decorated. Excellent bistro restaurant well-managed by the expert Maître D and his team, serving a well-prepared and presented menu. Very happy all round.

We always stay at the Cheval Blanc when we want to celebrate an anniversary or birthday or any occasion which we want to make a special one. It never fails to match our expectations. The staff are very warm and welcoming, and in the restaurant Michel directs the staff with great professionalism. The menu changes regularly and quality of the food and its presentation are excellent. The rooms in the main hotel or across the road in the Annex are spacious and very well-appointed. The beds comfortable and a good sleep is guaranteed. We've never used the onsite parking, but prefer instead to use the free public parking 300m away. Access to Langres couldn't be easier with Place Diderot and the Cathedral a few steps away. Another memorable stay. It's why we return again and again.

The surprise highlight of our stay was the dinner in the restaurant.
No check-in before 5 p.m. In the annex, the front door slams constantly. My room had a view of a wall. Clean and comfortable. Refined restaurant and quality breakfast.

Nice room, good food, but tourists were offered a bottle of San Pelegrino and charged for it, while French couples received a free carafe of water. It wasn't just me who noticed it, but the German and Dutch couples as well. It's not the price (€6.90) that matters here, but the feeling of being ripped off as a tourist.

We are delighted that you enjoyed the room and the kitchen. However, regarding the San Pellegrino, after checking with our staff and the invoices, no San Pellegrino was offered. We give our guests what they order. If our customers don't want a San Pellegrino or a carola, but a carafe of water, we give them the carafe of water. We make no distinction between "tourist" and "French couple".

The temperature in the room was over 30 degrees Celsius and there was mo way we could cool it. The fan in the room wasn’t sufficient. We strongly recommend to install air conditioners

If you wish to have a double room with a large double standard or a triple superior room in the hotel principal, it is not a double standard that you can use (precisely for your reservation). A very nice hotel with lovely ambiance, nice rooms, comfortable beds, spacious showers and a very friendly staff. It’s conveniently located in Lamgres’ town center, parking next to the hotel was easy, even though there was no room for our car in the garage (we didn’t reserve a spot there, would do that next time).

I was keen to come back after 25 years. Room was tired with few power points. Restaurant food was fabulous but expensive and service not special

Tout a été très bien. Seule petit b-mol: l‘eau chaude dans la douche n‘a pas très bien marché. Très difficile à regler (chambre 32 dans le pavillon). Mais le reste très bien!
I had relatively recently had an operation on my knee, so the steep stairs to the bedrooms were a challenge, and I could see older customers were struggling.
The only toilet seemed to be upstairs ( by our bedroom = No5) and it seems as if there was a lift via the restaurant .... however the dining table we were allocated was blocking the access and so, effectively, there was no access via the lift.
It also had a very small notice on it, and seemed to say for wheelchair users only.
In the bedroom, there was a coffee machine and tea bags were available, but we were not keen to try using the coffee machine to provide hot water for the tea.
However, the food was FANTASTIC - thank you

The food on the menu sounded good, and the presentation was good, but everything was either tasteless or just something salty. Some of the green vegetables were inedible. The welcome canapé was tapenade but sloppy and tasteless. And the amuse bouche was something creamy and savoury but couldn’t tell you what it was!
We couldn’t have enjoyed a meal less.

Hotel Cheval Blanc in Langres We spent a night at the Hotel Cheval Blanc in Langres on our way to the south of France and were thrilled. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were extremely friendly, flexible and spoke both English and French, which made communication very pleasant. Our room was rather small, but well-equipped, quiet and clean - very nice for a restful night. The breakfast was excellent with fresh, high-quality products. We would particularly like to recommend dinner in the hotel's own restaurant. We spent a night at the Hotel Cheval Blanc in Langres on our way to the south of France and we were delighted. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were extremely friendly, flexible and spoke both English and French, which made communication very pleasant. Our room is very small, with plenty of equipment, calmness and propriety – ideal for a comfortable night. Good experience with this hotel which also has an excellent restaurant and pleasant and competent staff. Small downside the bathtub shower which presents a certain danger and a good but improvable breakfast, no hot food.

The hotel is nice, with large rooms and good parking. But too bad the cleaning left much to be desired. Hair in the bathroom, the walls in the separate toilet area downright dirty and a broken toilet roll holder. Toilet roll on the toilet brush. Very unhygienic. Receptionist and breakfast lady very nice. Restaurant staff during the day disinterested.
It was a nice stay, but the experience in the restaurant could have been much better. The service was kind of slow and a bit unpersonal, although the quality of the food was nice.
We were a litle disapointed. The service in the restaurant was inpersanal. The dinner was good.

Pleasantly surprised by this small, elegant hotel with character. You'll sleep well and enjoy the quiet location right in the center of Langres, which is definitely worth a visit. You'll also enjoy excellent food in the attached restaurant.
One suggestion: during our first stay, we arrived around 3:00 PM and had to wait until 5:00 PM. When confirming bookings, you should include information about check-in times. Offer more vegetarian dishes in the restaurant.

The parking spaces are very tight, and it takes a lot of time to maneuver in and out. In the past, a hotel employee always did this for you. Now, you have to do it yourself. A hotel employee did help with parking, but since we weren't familiar with the tight spaces, parking was very inconvenient. Overall, though, we were very satisfied. Very good food, very attentive and friendly service.
Perfect location for me, who likes to be in the heart of a charming little town when I travel. The hotel restaurant is particularly well decorated, unfortunately I didn't test the quality of its cuisine. The parking, dug into the rock (2 small spaces) is not easy. Be aware! Thank you for providing rectangular pillows (much) better than square ones. Charming staff. I will come back.
