A very pleasant place and a very attentive team. Excellent meals, even on the overnight package (kudos to the chef).

Great situation but the hotel is past its best. Staff need to sharpen up. Bathroom needs replacing.

This is my second stay at this hotel. I love where it is located next to the river and the Chateau and is very central to some beautiful areas to visit.
The absolute star of this hotel has to be Stefan. He is an absolute pleasure to deal with, and made our stay a memorable one, even taking the time to let me practice my very bad French. We also had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. The major plus point of this hotel for me though has to be the garage parking for motorbikes.

I've stayed twice at the Château Hotel in rooms with a beautiful view of Josselin Castle. The rooms are adequate, but the soundproofing is average. I was a little disappointed with my last stay because I had a room with a macerating toilet that was very noisy and gave off an unpleasant odor. The welcome was good, and the food was good.

Very good value for money, clean rooms, friendly staff and also dog friendly. Easy parking in the hotel parking.

The hotel is perfectly located, and the welcome is warm and attentive. The room was very comfortable and quiet, with a lovely view of the canal and the castle. On the evening of our arrival, we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious dinner served by attentive and charming staff. Breakfast is also plentiful and varied, and it's a real pleasure to be able to enjoy it in a beautiful dining room, again with very attentive staff.

The cleanliness of the beds needs improvement. The bathroom could use some updating. Large room with a view of the castle. Very good welcome, good quality breakfast.

Nice hotel

This hotel is in dire need of a renovation. For example, the large bathtub in room 101 should be replaced with a more accessible, water-efficient shower. The toilet bowl also needs to be re-secured to the floor. On the other hand, the double bed is comfortable. And be careful of hair left in the bathtub; it's incredibly unpleasant.

Clean room, comfortable bed, beautiful view of the castle, we had a comfort room, kettle, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, 2 bottles of water, nothing was missing! Excellent meal for dinner and the same for breakfast. We will be back!

The lift was out of order during our stay which meant having to carry luggage up and down stairs. The seat of the toilet in our bathroom would not stay up.

Ideally located in Josselin, this hotel restaurant is well worth a stay. Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent traditional cuisine, and perfect bedding. The only downside is the slightly dated bathroom and the economy rooms are very small.

The room allocated requires renovation in terms of the bathroom and toilet, the shower is particularly old and the toilet bowl is low. The furniture in the room needs updating. On the other hand, the breakfast offers a good quality choice, the meals (set menu or à la carte) are very good and well cooked, the staff is very welcoming and kind whether at reception, in the catering service or for housekeeping. In fact, this hotel offers good value for money.

Very nice hotel, magnificent view of the Josselin castle. Very friendly staff. The bathrooms are really very old and deserve to be redone.

The location is unbeatable.
The staff was very welcoming, polite and helpful.
The rooms are a bit basic and could do with some design rethink such as placing sockets at convenient places.
The bathroom was lacking in some basic fixings like towel rails or hooks. Think about what the hotel guests would need and you will discover all the shortcomings.
Great to have a kettle in the room, but no where convenient to plug it in!
Don't forget that the windows need to be cleaned, too! There are a lot of birds around...

The hotel was shabby and run down . The economy rooms should not be on sale they were dreadful. Even accessing the bathroom was very difficult - door was rotting , shower flooded the floor , mirror two feet above head height. Hotel just trades on the location.

The hotel is beautifully situated opposite Josselin Castle. Our superior room had a wonderful view of it. Car parking is good.

A hotel with young and friendly staff. The room is, however, old-fashioned and a bit tired (a few wires are hanging from the walls), but above all, there was a drain smell coming from the bathroom that was difficult to eliminate, even with the window open.

Room 107 is not worthy of a 3-star hotel: persistent unpleasant odor, floor covering that could make you fall... Despite reporting it to the staff, no alternative solution was offered...

The only issue is the shower if you have physical disabilities or are a little older it is unsuitable. Also due to the way it was built cleaning was issue by the looks of it. If this is an issue check if they can accommodate you. Otherwise perfect.

What a shame the shower is from another era! It's borderline clean. Everything else is fine. Something really needs to be done!!

I booked two rooms for one night, fully aware of their size because it was clearly specified in the offers. I was shocked and shocked by the bathrooms in both rooms, which were built into alcoves and were very small and inadequate. The sink was a toy-sized sink, and the shower curtain was the least of it. It was a shame that all the water came out because you had to hand-hold the showerhead. I often vacation in France and change hotels almost every night, and this is the first time this has happened to me. These are rooms 207 and 209, facing the courtyard. I'm surprised that the Logis chain has these problems.

Very warm welcome with very precise explanations. The big asset is obviously the view of the castle. The bedding is great. On the other hand, the sanitary equipment is aging. Toilet tank that leaks, paint on the bathtub tiles is crumbling, bathtub seals are damaged.

There was just one concern.I spike to the hotel about this.The step up to the shower was very high and to get out of the shower for older people was a safety concern.It was necessary for my husband to help me to step out of the shower to avoid a fall.Also entrance into shower I wouldu say would be difficult for a larger person.I mention this as a safety conern for myself and others.Thankyou for maybe considering this observation.

Location of the hotel was the reason for choosing it, the staff were very friendly although no one was on reception when we arrived so had to wait for someone to appear. The room was on the back of the hotel and very hot so only way to be a little cool was to have the full length curtains shut which then made the room dark. Unfortunately I had a bad fall in the shower as the bathroom hasn't been renovated and the shower tray was an old china one and like ice. This is extremely dangerous, not message, no shower mat so we had to use a towel on the base of the shower tray. The bed was reasonably comfortable but the pillows were like bricks, not good nights sleep unfortunately. As the main hotel in Jossilin it is difficult to choose something else but if I returned I would have to bring a shower mat and my own pillows. Little things could massively elevate this hotel.

The shower area was very bad. Lots of matetial around the shower chipped and missing. The side ledge near the shower was dirty. The bathroom floor had been painted and lots of paint missing.. not nice. The actually bedroom was fine but the bathroom unacceptable. We didn't complain as we were only staying one night.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, the only improvement would be the bathrooms in the rooms, small is an understatement, had there been two of us staying it it would have been a problem. Beds very comfy, rooms basic but totally fine just let down by the bathroom/toilet facilities. Oh and lights on timer switches meant the lights often went out while showering etc, quirky but a little annoying!

Booked a 'superior' double room with Castle view.'. Got there after published check-in time..it was not ready. No problem we will have a drink (might even have been nice to have been offered one).....just let us know when ready. Sat on terrace...waiting staff all ignored . 3 times had to ask if ready...no one came and advised us.

Room straight out of Logis from 1980s...small, dirty, dreadful mouldy bathroom....we have pictures. Shower head had to be held in place by a wooden stick. Did have a castle view to right but was adjacent busy road and hotel supplies bay so was very noisy.

Positive..good and value meal first night with charming staff. Would have eaten there second night but next day sat on bar terrace for 1 hr being ignored..so we went fotr a drink ewlsewhere and had a good meal there that night. NIce terrace to eat in summer biut theu close it off for dinner and breakfast!

Went to pay bill..same women who had ignored us previous day. Suddenly very charming. We asked if we had been in a superior room as bill read 'Comfor Room'...claimed that was a 'translation issue'.

We would advise do not stay here. Seem to have that policy of giving the worst rooms if book through Booking.co (no doubt due to outrageous charges). If you are foolish enough to stay then book direct..seems much cheaper.

This is the second time I have come to this establishment, the dinner is really very good, I enjoy myself every time, and the breakfast has everything you need to please you. The only small downside is the bathroom, it is still a bathtub, a little small, it would deserve a shower instead, but apart from that, I don't have much to criticize.

Having stayed here several times, I'm familiar with the hotel's standard. However, this time the bathroom was very cramped, access to the shower was difficult due to the door's placement, and the toilet had a stain all around the rim that wouldn't come off, which wasn't very pleasant. Otherwise, it was perfect! Just so you know, the light stays on in the second-floor hallway, which isn't ideal.

Unfriendly welcome, we were told to reserve a table for the evening because it might be full. We reserve and once on time the table is taken ... then the restaurant is a large room like a community hall. Some dishes were already missing like the rice pudding. In addition the room was not full! Room number 114 meh patched up and traces of mold on the beam on the left side of the bed. Tiny bathroom with strange proportions due to the patching. If you are over 1m80 and 90 kg the shower is sporty! In short, rather very average in terms of comfort and noisy. In short, we have mixed feelings about customer satisfaction. And the hello in this establishment is zero except for the lady at the start, a young lady with glasses, the only one who was friendly at reception.

Very friendly and pleasant welcome. We had the misfortune of living with a professional group (large) disrespectful and very noisy until our intervention at 4am. The reception apologized and offered us one of our breakfasts which we appreciated. The breakfast is also excellent and very complete with a magnificent view of the castle and the canal! We did not have the opportunity to test the restaurant.

A lovely hotel in great location for exploring the area and south coast. It is easy to access and parking is provided, but it is only a few minutes walk to the old centre of Josselin

We found the hotel very charming, but the elevator takes a bit of getting used to. Arrival was a bit difficult because the satnav kept directing us into the closed old town. The view of the castle from the restaurant is something special! We stopped off on the way to our holiday destination and liked the large customer car park, so we didn't have to unload all our holiday luggage.

Overnight stopover. The room and common areas are very clean. The evening meal at the hotel restaurant was perfect. We were very well received and the staff as a whole was very pleasant.

We stayed 4 nights. Everything was perfect. The room was spacious and spotless every day. Nothing negative to say. We had a direct view of the castle. Lots of choice for breakfast. Private parking with a code. If we were to return to the area, we would return to the castle hotel!

A breathtaking view, the best, for the rooms on the castle side. With the added bonus of the play of light at nightfall. The same goes for the restaurant terrace, both inside and on the terrace.

Pantagruelian breakfast! A bit reserved welcome, very comfortable room with the chance to have a view of the castle. The hot water takes a long time to come in the shower: not very economical! And the television screen is really minimalist. Good soundproofing. Big advantage: parking for customers. Without a doubt a good address.

The room was small but very clean. The meal: the food was of very poor quality and bad. It wasn't cooked properly. (Boiled carrots, a very unpleasant-tasting filet mignon, frozen dessert.) A shame for such a nice establishment. The food needs improvement.

Greatly located hotel with superb views. Dedicated staff, with exemplary kindness. Pleasant restaurant. Even if the hotel is starting to age, everything is done to make our stay easier and more enjoyable.

We have come here perhaps 20 times. The hotel is in a truy beautiful site and Josselin is wonderful place for a one-night stop. The hotel staff are always friendly and the hotel has been improved in the last year.

Tiny room. We were woken up too early by the cleaning ladies who were not discreet in front of our room. No hot water the day we arrived. Boiling or cold water this morning. Not very relaxing stay

What a gem. Location is incredible. Restaurant is fantastic, and great value. Lovely clean and comfortable rooms and beds. But most importantly, smiling and welcoming staff, could not recommend more highly.

A few points of detail would need to be reviewed to obtain the perfect score (replace the sanibroyeurs that are too noisy at night with conventional toilets. Replace the shower curtain with a real door.) Otherwise, very happy with the value for money and the efforts made by the staff.

Nice hotel well located, small but pleasant room, functional bathroom (unclosed shower cubicle a bit scary!) Big downside for soundproofing: very unpleasant to be woken up at 3 a.m. by the toilet flushing from above and again at 6 a.m. by people moving in the corridor

Very good everything was perfect

Great position and parking. Restaurant very good. Rooms adequate but bathroom very poor. Toilet very low- behind a curtain- but the shower was incredibly difficult to get in and out of. The tiles were very slippery and needed something to help grip your feet.

We really like this hotel, which is very well located in central Brittany. All services are available and the welcome is impeccable.

Excellent welcome, warm and attentive in a beautiful site which calls for a walk. The hotel is very pleasant and well located with very appreciable private parking. Opposite the hotel, perched on a rocky outcrop, the majestic Château de Josselin swept by the last rays of the sun: an admirable painting. I was able to enjoy quality catering in a “castle atmosphere” room. A true haven of peace on the banks of a beautiful river!

A problem understanding the online reservation because I thought the stay was debited from my account

Good welcome, very good bedding. On the other hand, not clean, cobwebs hang from the ceiling, the plinths in the corners and in the bathroom are dirty, do not look behind the toilet, dust bunnies between the wall and the cupboard (although accessible), a deterioration on the corner of the office, a tear in the curtain, the orange shower seals, the shower water which drains poorly and above all noisy due to the lack of soundproofing in the corridor (customers and cleaners who discuss in front of the door at 8:30 a.m. their mechanical problems of vehicles and the market) and the adjacent bathrooms. The toilet bowl is very cheap and deforms under my weight even though it is less than 80 kg, the sliding support of the shower head is inoperative. Disappointing for a 3-star establishment Photos are available on request.

We saw that the rooms would be basic. We are disappointed because the view is magnificent and because we loved the other restaurant. Unfortunately, this was no longer the case. We hope the restaurant will be better again!

Only one small star less for the quality of the accommodation: the sound insulation of the bedroom door (to quibble a little).

Rustig gelegen aan de rivier, met zicht op kasteel. Zeer beleefd en verzorgd personeel. Het eten was zeer lekker en mooi geserveerd.
De kamer was zeer netjes, en het badkamerlinnen werd regelmatig vervangen. Het hotel heeft een privéparking tegenover het hotel met slagboom. T.V. op de kamer.

This hotel allows you to take a break to visit Josselin and its surroundings.

Great location to the lovely town and Chateau. You have to check in to get the code for the parking barrier. It is not obvious where the car park is, signage could be better placed. Maybe the code could be sent in an email prior to arrival to avoid holding up the traffic . The staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly . The room was basic and clean . Room 215 needs the door hinges oiling they emit an ear piercing noise!

“Old-fashioned” hotel-restaurant where you feel good. Courteous and welcoming staff.

This is an old hotel in need of renovation. However, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant which was above average.

The employees are very welcoming. The room was pleasant despite the hair in the bathtub. Avoid rooms near the elevator, the noise is annoying, average sound insulation.

Excellent welcome

Everything is perfect and typical of old hotels which have managed to pass the times while retaining a certain authenticity. Automatic lighting in the bathroom should be banned, it is a false good idea.
