The hotel is in a great position, close to the Port de Plaisance with lots of bars and restaurants and to the chateau. The hotel was smart and clean. This was a really good place to sfay before catching the Ouistreham ferry.

We're sorry your stay didn't fully meet your expectations. Regarding the bedding, we'd like to point out that it's highly appreciated by the majority of our guests. This is, of course, a personal feeling, but we regret that you didn't find it comfortable.

Hello - I found you very difficult to deal with - messages were not answered in a timely fashion or at all, when i last tried to cancel. Emials were confusing about cancellation period - 'Cancellation free of charge until 2 p.m. on D-1 to' me means I can cancel up to 2pm on the day of the first night's stay - but it means D minus 1. This is unclear and misleading. Due to the difficulty of using your booking service, and this serious misunderstanding I cannot recommend your hotel group. I hope this helps. We are truly sorry to read that your experience with our booking service did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify that all your messages were handled promptly. For instance, your parking request was answered within 10 minutes.
Regarding your cancellation request, we did receive your email on May 25th at 5:30 p.m., concerning a stay starting the following day. You also called us right after and we answered immediately. As per our clearly stated conditions, cancellation without charge is possible until 2:00 p.m. the day before arrival (D-1). If cancellation would have been possible on the day that you arrive it would have been written 2pm (D-Day). These terms are standard and aim to ensure fairness for all our guests.
We remain at your disposal for any further clarification and hope you will give our hotel group another opportunity in the future.

Room was a bit small, but otherwise the Hotel was fine. Not spectacular, but reasonably priced and a very good location in the heart of Caen.

Fantastic location and very helpful team. My room was very comfortable with a nice en suite. My only issue was the plumbing. The shower tray kept overflowing onto the floor because it could not drain. Otherwise, it is a good hotel for the price. I enjoyed my stay.

The Château hotel is located in the center with walking access to the various places of interest. The hotel has only a few parking spaces. The rooms are welcoming and well soundproofed (no noise while the tram lines pass under the windows). The hotel does not offer a catering service. Regarding breakfast, it is a basic breakfast (no buffet) identical for all. At 12 €uros, it is a little expensive.

Strengths: hotel in a central location. Weaknesses: check-in by 10 pm, breakfast not very varied, lack of safe and air conditioning in the room, narrow bathroom with a pipe in sight. Not adequate in terms of quality/price ratio.
