An absolutely perfect stay! The suite is spacious, tastefully decorated, and impeccably clean. The indoor heated pool, sauna, steam room, and outdoor areas are a real bonus for relaxation. We've stayed at this venue for New Year's Eve in the past, and it was much better. The disappointing points are: 1) the cold in the dining room; it was a shame to have to stay in our coats all evening; 2) the disjointed service (a glass of champagne without anything else for at least 30 minutes before the amuse-bouche arrived); 3) the meal was generally good, but the veal dish with chestnut purée was completely out of place with the rest of the meal; 4) the dessert was extremely basic for New Year's Eve; 5) the music was completely unoriginal (songs from fifty years ago); although the DJ came around to collect guests' preferences, he stuck to the usual (Cloc Clo...); 6) no one checked the rooms before midnight; 7) mediocre room service. The positive points: 1) reasonable price; 2) the room was very decent
Domaine de Fompeyre is very well located, very quiet, and has a very secure parking area set back from the road. We just spent New Year's there; it was very well organized, we had a wonderful time, and the value for money was perfect. We will definitely return and highly recommend this establishment.

What a real pleasure it is to come to this establishment to relax. The team is always top-notch, with proven expertise. A special mention goes to the youngest woman on the team, whom I met for the first time and who is excellent. She always has a smile, and her love for her work shines through. We had a wonderful night. It's so nice to have an elevator, especially when you arrive tired with your luggage. It's also pleasant to walk through the wide corridors and stairwells. Finally, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Very good dinner, perfect room, except for a major problem at breakfast... => no table had been cleared. I waited five minutes and asked the young woman in charge of the dining room. She told me to sit at a table for two to have breakfast, even though that table was still covered in trash from the person before me. I asked the young woman again, and she said she didn't find it bothersome that I sat at a table for two with part of it already used! She told me it didn't bother anyone except me! I'm sorry to leave this review, but I think hotel management has changed a lot! So I used some cutlery I found and set a table for myself. It's a shame to have to leave this comment for an establishment I usually like; I stay there several times a year.

A very nice place, the staff are very attentive. The only slight drawback is that the room doors slam too loudly, making quite a bit of noise whenever someone enters or leaves the room.
This was our third stay at Fompeyre, and we were very happy with it. We were able to easily have dinner served in our room (very convenient for us as we have a young child), and the food was excellent! The food is superb. We will definitely return on our next trip to Bazas. Highly recommended!

Excellent meals, a generous and very good breakfast, and a great heated indoor pool 👍. The bar was a bit pricey though.
Everything was great, except that since we have a hybrid car we couldn't use the charging station which required a special plug; perhaps a simpler one could be installed – but overall it was really very good – we will definitely come back when the weather is nice to enjoy the outdoors.
Overall, the service was excellent and the staff were top-notch. My only complaint is the lack of hooks in the room for coats, jackets, or even the bathrobes provided for the pool. Slippers or even flip-flops would be a nice touch for both the room and the pool. Also, the shower water at the pool was chilly, while the pool water was perfect. A shame! Otherwise, everything else was great.

Lovely hotel. Very warm welcome from all the staff. Spacious room and bathroom. The indoor pool is very pleasant after a long journey, and the provision of bathrobes is a nice touch. Body lotion, especially after swimming, would be appreciated. Breakfast is very good but could be more varied. The evening meal we (3 people) had at the hotel was a mixed bag. Very good for the aperitifs and the set menu, a bit heavy for the pasta with porcini mushrooms, and a really strange taste for my tzatziki (a dish I love) included in the vegetarian platter. This won't stop us from coming back ;-)
A very pleasant discovery that the Domaine de Fompeyre in Bazas (33), a very pleasant and relaxing setting, the indoor swimming pool with the hammam provides a very appreciable moment of relaxation. A whole team at your service, very attentive to your every need. A pleasant room, a very good table as well as a very generous breakfast buffet. In short, we recommend this estate and we plan to return.

Great establishment except for two things: The staff could be more friendly/fun. The breakfast is disappointing. The coffee is not good (machine problem), there is little choice of cold drinks (no cooked ham, there could be fish like salmon)? The orange juice is not good (no fresh juice...)

Very welcoming and very professional staff. We stayed on a half-board basis, everything was perfect, breakfast and dinner.
A Nespresso-type coffee maker in the room would be welcome. The WiFi quality in my room is very poor, 1/5.

Very nice establishment, quietly located in a wooded park, a 10-minute walk from the historic center of Bazas. 2-night stay. Well-stocked breakfast and lunch buffet. Restaurant with a varied menu. Personally, I chose the daily specials during my stay and had a great time. Very friendly and attentive staff. I will return for a longer stay to enjoy the pools and visit this beautiful region.

We were able to enjoy the indoor pool as well as the sauna. After a pleasant aperitif at the bar, we enjoyed ourselves in the restaurant. The staff is very professional and very welcoming. Small annoyance: We wanted 2 days half-board which was not possible for the 2nd day, there was a group of 80 people, we could only have the night and breakfast. We were traveling by bike. The second day the rain did not stop, we only had our bike to get around and go eat in town, so we asked again if we could eat there (they served 80 meals, we thought they could serve 82 maybe....) after insisting they said "Yes". We find it regrettable to have had to beg like this to have 2 miserable meals....Hence our disappointment, especially since we were no longer at the half-board rate but at the independent meal rate (hence more expensive...).... We had to insist very heavily to finally get a positive response. We thought that if you serve 80 meals, maybe you can serve 82..... Really regrettable to have had to complain like that.
Very warm welcome, we only stayed one night but we had time to enjoy the swimming pool, the hammam and the billiards. The breakfast served as a buffet is very well constructed and varied, there is something for everyone. We had a room in the manor in a superior room with balcony, bathroom and bathtub, a magnificent view of the outdoor swimming pool and the Bazas cathedral.
Quiet hotel in a pleasant green setting but very disappointing wifi! Impossible to download movies or series with an iPad pro... and when we reported the problem we were told that we were the first to point it out! No dinner possible because there was a group but a small group???
We had a great stay at Domaine de Fompeyre! The hotel has all the amenities you need to truly relax, with the indoor and outdoor pool, the hammam, massages, and even aquagym classes. Our room had a beautiful view of Bazas Cathedral, the bedding is excellent quality, and the room is very clean and quiet. We enjoyed every meal we had at the hotel. The food is very tasty, and the Bazas beef was truly a great discovery! But what really sets this hotel apart is the welcome and kindness of the staff. We have never been so well received; we felt right at home. The staff is very attentive and took great care of our daughter, who was sad to leave after a week at Domaine de Fompeyre. We will definitely come back when we are in the area. Thanks again to Fabien and his team for a wonderful week spent at your establishment.

Aging hotel with great potential
Beautiful grounds, spacious and very accessible. The whole place is, however, quite dated. Very complicated service by rookie staff this hot weekend of August 15th. This did not inspire us to try the restaurant, the spa and the pools. If we had not prepaid for 2 nights we would have left after the first night, which was frankly problematic. It was very hot in the room even with the air conditioning fan on full blast. The next day I found the reason: the air conditioning filters were saturated with dust. I took them apart and cleaned them. Problem solved. The heat was unbearable in the bed. The cause: the mattress was covered with a plastic cover preventing body heat from dissipating. Other annoying details convinced us that it was a mistake to stay at this establishment. Examples: no soap in the shower dispenser. Access to the shower by stepping over the high and very slippery bathtub. No opaque glass or curtains on the bathroom window even though it overlooks the other bedrooms. So you have to close the shutters completely to block the view. The toilet paper holder is very poorly placed. Etc. etc. Taking all these elements into account, the price of almost €180/night including breakfast is very exaggerated.
We came back with pleasure to find this place and the team at the helm. After a stay during the off-peak period, we were able to compare it with this summer and holiday weekend... the only tiny downside is that we were not spontaneously offered the discount indicated on the Logis Hôtel website, and after paying by credit card, we were not offered a credit... on the other hand, we were invited to dine at the hotel, which was not initially planned, to benefit from this discount... well, it's not so bad because the meal is more than adequate... another thing, at 5:00 p.m. the swimming pool was no longer very clean, and we did not see any dedicated staff...

Very warm welcome in this hotel. The indoor pool is very pleasant. The breakfast is very good. Small downside for our second morning, no more semi-salted butter and no scrambled eggs, no bacon, no sausages ready at 9:00 a.m. whereas the day before there were some. Otherwise, everything is of quality and in sufficient quantity for everyone. The room is spacious. In this intense heat, the bottle of water in the minibar is very appreciable. The only negative point would be the lack of deckchairs around the two pools. Summary of our two days.... We plan to come back.

I found the hotel to be good, the staff friendly and welcoming. The park is pretty, and this hotel is easy to access, close to Bazas. The pool is good, but there are not enough deckchairs. I still recommend this establishment.
This hotel is a haven of peace. There is a magnificent park with century-old trees and a superb 250-year-old sequoia. The room is charming and very clean. The breakfasts are exquisite; but the best of the best is the dinner: the quality of the food and also the excellent service worthy of a 5-star hotel. The pools are very good but there are no parasols and only about ten deckchairs. Thank you for the kindness of all the staff who are also very dedicated. Ps: for the little creature in a room, I didn't know that it was my son who had reported it. It's really not serious, he didn't go to Africa like my husband for 13 years. See you soon. Mrs. Delcroix

Its a very nice chique hotel , with very kind staff en great location , my kids loved the pools and the horse .
I made the reservation last min and the reception called me to confirm and made sure there was someone there when i was gonna check in .
The only small thing is that if you want to have dinner you have slots so its a little less flexible, with kids its not ideal but for people without kids it shouldnt matter.
Compared to a long experience at the estate (25 years), we found the standard of the rooms and services (fridge, bathroom, etc.) a little disappointing. We noted a certain gap between the hotel service itself and the catering services (superior quality). Finally, the setting is always pleasant, and the swimming pools are always in the same place (sorry: are always pleasant to visit...

A perfect bike welcome that provides a lot of comfort. The attentive welcome, the pool a delight, the waiters at the bar and this delicious restaurant with wonderful service. The family suite is perfect for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Then upon waking, a good and perfect breakfast. Delighted to have come during our stay in Bazas. Bike path very close.
We stayed in the hotel annex, a good-sized room, clean and comfortable bedding. The bar and restaurant staff are super friendly, very available and helpful. The only downside is that the person at reception is very unpleasant and even disturbing in their remarks. I can highly recommend this establishment to everyone, unless you consider your small dog as your child, he cannot accompany you on the bar and restaurant terrace. But it is a nice space to walk him.

Located in a park, it is an old house converted into a hotel. Two swimming pools are available (indoor and outdoor). Very pleasant restaurant room with large bay window. Very clean room. Very pleasant and professional staff. It was a stopover but we would have liked to spend several days.

Very good address but the restaurant service is too long. More than two hours for dinner while respecting the agreed arrival time, this result may be punctual if not needs to be improved. Significant delays after being seated at the table, even if it is just to get the menu or to order the appetizer, customers who arrived after us were served before us. Significant wait to get a table for breakfast. Perhaps an organization that needs optimizing? And the whole thing will be perfect!

We had not visited this hotel before but our usual Logis was full. The location is beautiful and the staff very helpful and courteous. However, we do not think this hotel is dog friendly. It has lovely grounds for dogs to walk but our room was very small and we were tripping over our four kilogram tiny dog. We were not allowed to take the dog with us for dinner although dinner was being served outside. We had no alternative but to put our little dog in the car which wasn’t good as she had been travelling for over five hours and was very nervous of being put in the car again. We ordered two courses for dinner but the service was so slow that we had to cancel our dessert because it wasn’t fair that our dog had been in the car for over 8 hours! In future we will choose a hotel that allows more flexibility for our 12 year old dog who has travelled with us since she was twelve months old. It’s a shame because the hotel and its staff were lovely.

Excellent welcome and always satisfied during my sales rep stopover evenings. We feel a clear difference compared to many other establishments, particularly in terms of staff - certainly staff from hotel school or with significant experience in catering or hospitality. Since COVID, we feel a deterioration in the welcome and sense of service in many 3/4* hotels with people who are not very committed - this is absolutely not the case for the Domaine de Fompeyre. For the catering part, always as delicious, especially with the fish where the cooking is never missed (slightly golden and not overcooked from the inside)

A few small remarks, however, to improve the next stay even more: the edge of the pool is dirty and the shower does not work, you have to hold the button, the toilets on the ground floor are old and it would be good to put towel dryers in the bathroom (even if the cleaning lady changes them if they are wet) and the hair dryer button does not hold in the bathroom (that is to say, you have to have your finger on it all the time) and at the pool (I may not have found the correct operation)

We really enjoyed our stay at the estate, the only drawback was that we could hear all our neighbors' conversations through the door separating the rooms. I posted a lot of photos and a positive review on Google but when I left I was surprised to see a bill that did not correspond to my stay. Breakfasts were billed when not taken and an error on the price of my 50cl bottle of wine displayed on the menu at €20 and billed at €40!!!! The breakfasts were refunded to us in cash because my wife realized it. On the other hand, for the wine we were already on the road. The hotel is very well kept, the rooms are large and clean as well as the bathroom. The park is magnificent as well as the indoor swimming pool. A "family" spirit reigns in this establishment thanks to its director always present and available. A little extra, note that dogs are accepted there. I recommend this establishment, it is worth the detour.
