Very friendly welcome and excellent food

Perfect stay, very attentive and smiling staff
From our time of arrival I found the Hostess / Owner to be quite rude in speaking with us. She seemed irritated when I asked questions about our dinner reservation. The room itself was a junior suite and it was spacious. The sheets on the bed were some type of "waffle" material and extremely uncomfortable. The nespresso machine didn't work properly (pods didn't align and I had to manual position the pod about 8 times before it engaged. The machine then spilled coffee all over the table. I told the owner about the machine the next day and she scoff and extremely condescendingly said "Thank you for letting me know". The coffee pods, sugar, stir sticks were just thrown on the plate and clearly someone before me had tried the pods as two were crushed from failed attempts to get the machine to work. There was a step down into the room from the room door - there was a warning sign - but it still caught us a bit off guard. Perhaps a slope into the room would work better. The hand soap in the bathroom was very nice. WiFi in the room was poor and I ended up using my roaming service. We booked this hotel because it was convenient for our travel route. It looked nice on Booking.com, but the price for both the room and restaurant were much higher than what we paid at much nicer places during our trip through France. I appears to me that this Hotel is trying to live off it's past reputation although the decorations and fixtures were date and rather tacky in some cases. Who chose those sheets in Room 12! Absolutely horrible! For dinner I had the lobster and veg in a bisque sauce. The bowl was extremely hot but the food was luke warm - as if if was put under a salamander with cold food in the bowl. The dish itself was nice - although the portion was small at 57 Euros. The young waiter was nice and attentive. The bread was fresh. The cheese plate was also enjoyable.
A warm welcome from Alice who spoke excellent English, which made our stay memorable. Comfortable bed and a great view of the local church from our room. Dinner in the restaurant was superb, as was the wine recommendation.
A high-quality all-inclusive weekend. Exceptional dinner, equally high-quality breakfast. And an incredible massage from Sylvie.
Very short experience but high quality accommodation
Well-located hotel near Tours and the Loire. A cozy hotel with a family atmosphere. A warm welcome and a very good dinner.
It is always a great pleasure to stay at this hotel. The welcome and service are excellent, the accommodation is of high quality with good bedding. The catering is of a very high standard, with research both to highlight the aromas and flavors and for a worked presentation. And the wine list ... The people in the kitchen do a remarkable job, thank you to them. New preparations are offered at each visit, without me ever being disappointed. The only downside is the weak telephone network.

We have been coming to this hotel for many years. We know it changed ownership a few years ago. This time we felt the restaurant was beoming much too expensive. Specifically the formule for a 3 course dinner was 79€ and for the main course there were only two choices ris de veau or homard which was at a supplement of 15€. I don't think a 79€ menu should only offer ris de veau as the plat.
Comfortable hotel, very pleasant staff, excellent food.
We stayed at Logis de la Mère Hamard this weekend and our experience was disastrous. The rooms are dilapidated, poorly maintained, and the cleanliness clearly leaves something to be desired—which is unacceptable given the rates, which we found exorbitant. Upon arrival, there was no introduction to the lodge or explanation of how it operates or its hours. As a result, we thought checkout was at 12 p.m., when it was actually set for 11:30 a.m. We left the premises 30 minutes “late,” which earned my husband an aggressive accost in the street from the owner. Instead of remaining professional, she said, “We apologize when we’re 30 minutes late!” My husband pointed out that this wasn’t businesslike. The owner then continued to shout, repeating that "it was up to us to apologize," while her husband openly insulted her by calling him a "big c******." Finally, she wished us "a very bad day." Regarding the breakfast included in the price: we did not take it and asked for a gesture of goodwill. A categorical refusal, on the pretext that "breakfast had been prepared." But if the hotel is full, this means that all breakfasts are "prepared" in advance, even if some guests do not eat them... Having worked for more than 10 years in the hotel industry, I can say that we were very far from the expected standards of service. Between the humiliating welcome, the insults and the state of the rooms, I strongly advise against this establishment.
I recommend this very comfortable and quiet hotel. The breakfast is wonderful and plentiful.

Hotel parking: ok, be careful at the entrance if a vehicle is blocked. Breakfast: very little savory food. I wonder if we weren't a bit forced to book a table at the restaurant to fill the room. Expensive prices but quality.
An authentic French feel and experience. The Hotel section was across the a narrow street and included a private car park. The accommodation was again authentically French and may be described as "quaint", but we liked this. The dining in the restaurant was excellent, superbly prepared and presented menu, excellent wine list. It was expensive, but of the highest quality. Professionally served. For those of us whose French could be better, a good level of English was available to help us. Very pleasant reception. Semblancay is traditional in style, and throughout the summer a music and firework event takes place every Wednesday and Friday - unfortunately we were only staying one night and missed this, but it is apparently a big attraction.

The hotel is in a small hamlet in lovely countryside. We made a mistake in booking a junior suite & should we return would book a downstairs room as there is no lift. Our suite price included breakfast which offered a good selection including eggs.
We choose to eat dinner & overall it was good although slightly expensive.

The only drawbacks are the difficulties connecting to Wi-Fi and the weak phone network.

Everything was great. A stay in rural France with friends in a friendly family hotel, with an outstanding restaurant. If I lived closer, I would come every week!
2nd time still on top
Room located on the top floor without elevator. The bed is actually 2 single beds pushed together. The TV reception did not work. The bread at breakfast was dry and hard (probably bread defrosted in the microwave) and I was not able to choose my tea directly from the box under the pretext that it had been stolen the previous week. Otherwise the room was spacious as was the bathroom. Everything was clean.

An excellent Logis hotel. Very welcoming, quiet, fantastic food, both dinner and breakfast. Things like the waiter took time to explaining the local cheeses and propose wines that would match our choices for dinner. Our room was spacious, warm and welcoming.
Would certainly recommend and will stay again if we are stopping in the region.

A lovely one night stayover in a spacious, clean and comfortable junior suite. Fabulous food with lots of interesting marrying of flavours and beautifully presented. The evening was warm enough for us to sit on the terrace under the wisteria canopy which was lovely but we did have a peek into the restaurant and were impressed by the decor - bold but it works! Great hospitality from the owners who spoke good English. Would love to return!

Lovely hotel in quiet village. Our room was excellent - spotlessly clean, very well appointed, great spacious bathroom, separate toilet and plenty of space in the bedroom. The restaurant was amazing, and we were very surprised to find such a high quality restaurant in this area. It was certainly of Michelin starred standard, although pretty expensive!

We just felt at home. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The food was excellent. Simply beautiful. We booked again for June straight away. No mass tourism, pure peace and quiet, pure nature experience.

Comfortable room with lots of charm like the establishment. The only downside, for our taste, was the particular eco-responsible sheets which did not suit us. We were made to feel welcome from our arrival until our departure ,set in a quaint French hamlet with a cordon blue restaurant and extensive wine list,a great way to spend an evening on way from Spain back to the UK.

The best evening stopover in France
We were lucky enough to be upgraded so nothing to say about the junior suite, the restaurant is simply fabulous, the pleasure menu is excellent and the accompanying wines are very good. Breakfast offers a wide choice, both savory and sweet. Just a little hiccup for the massage which was supposed to be a duo but in the end it was done one person at a time and not at the scheduled time. But all this was quickly forgotten thanks to the quality of the massage performed.
We had a wonderful stay here. We and our two small dogs were made to feel very welcome. We were very comfortable in our room and the food in the restaurant was fantastic. Great wine list too! The hosts were also very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
