Beautiful establishment, well located. Spacious room, comfortable bedding. Restaurant with a good menu and quality products. Very pleasant terrace overlooking the Dordogne River.
Nothing to report
The hotel was very clean, the welcome was excellent, no complaints whatsoever. The only downside was the lack of a ventilation system in our room, which resulted in a damp smell. A rather unpleasant odor, in my opinion. Unfortunately, this was also visible on the paper, which had very slight traces of mold (the mold was cleaned, but it still showed through a little). As for breakfast, it was excellent. Quite the opposite, in fact. There was a wide variety and choice, both sweet and savory, hot and cold. The bread was fresh and crusty. Depending on your appetite, it was perfectly adequate for the price.
A warm welcome, good breakfast, a lovely room with a view of the Dordogne River, and a nice touch: the sofa next to the king-size bed – a very good idea. The spa was very clean and of high quality. The menu was varied and the food was good. We had a very pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful weekend. The spa area is pleasant and spacious, with a hammam, sauna, and relaxation area—everything is designed for a relaxing experience. Our room overlooked the Dordogne River, just as we had requested. The bedding was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were helpful and attentive to our needs. Moldy on the grout, damp toilet paper
A very pleasant boutique hotel. The room was comfortable and very well heated, with a beautiful view of the Dordogne River. The spa was also very pleasant and well laid out. Unfortunately, we were only able to spend one hour and fifteen minutes there instead of the two hours we had paid for (we were half an hour late, and the last fifteen minutes were cut short by the staff for checks and closing the spa, which is regrettable). It was also a shame that the sauna wasn't working (apparently an oversight, as we weren't informed about it). A major drawback was the breakfast at €14.50 per person. The buffet looked nice, but it wasn't worth the price. We found live, wriggling maggots in the muesli... Charming protein for breakfast! Furthermore, there was no fresh bread, only slices of industrial white bread. The same went for the pastries, which were frozen and reheated in the oven. It was also regrettable not to have freshly squeezed orange juice. The one served was awful, tasting like juice made from concentrate straight from a cheap bottle... It's a shame the service wasn't as good as the room. A small compensation for the missed 15 minutes of spa time and for the maggots at breakfast would have been appreciated, for a hotel of this caliber.

The setting is very pleasant, especially at the back of the hotel, which overlooks the Dordogne. Breakfast is decent. Room a bit small, but above all, quite poorly soundproofed on the street side. A light sleeper (which is not my case) will have great difficulty sleeping there. You will have to ask for a room on the Dordogne side. Furthermore, when a guest comes down to have breakfast, and says hello to the person at reception, the minimum for this person is 1) to respond immediately 2) to do so by raising their head and with a smile. It is just a minimum of politeness and respect, and it costs nothing.

Arrived on the 15th, a very pleasant young woman, and very professional, but she tells us, no restaurant, and there is only a small attic room on the third floor without elevator, (we are 77 years old and 76 years old) my husband has recently had a knee prosthesis. At breakfast at 8:30 am specify on arrival, first day we had to wait 10 minutes for bread, second day and third day, no more fruit and no more natural yogurt. That's our stay,

Very decent hotel, the problem is the floors without elevator and the cold water on the 3rd floor.
Overall, a very pleasant stay. Very attentive staff, spacious and comfortable room, welcome tray—a rare and delicate touch. Breakfast was excellent, varied, and generous. The restaurant's meals showcase local specialties well... except for one thing. Red meat: a regrettable misstep. The "Charolais ribeye" served at €31 left me perplexed: floury, sinewy, flavorless—a frankly disappointing experience, which I preferred not to comment on too much in the heat of the moment so as not to spoil the atmosphere in the dining room. The next day, I had a calm conversation with the manager, explaining (with passion and a touch of pedagogy) the characteristics of the main beef breeds in France, Europe, and even Kobe beef—which I still dream of tasting one day. In a region so rich in terroir, it would be wise to highlight local breeds like Salers or Limousin, which offer a much higher quality of meat and a real taste identity. It was very cold in the room, and parking was a pain.
Warm welcome, very comfortable room, very very comfortable bedding, excellent buffet breakfast. I am surprised to read the reviews of the complainers, the perpetually dissatisfied, who could have made me miss out on this hotel. I recommend it without hesitation.
Very well located hotel but very old, the tile joints in the shower are black, the small mirror rusty, This hotel is only worth 2 stars, no more and therefore too expensive for the service.

I know we paid for a basic room but the price is way tok high for a tiny room, with basically no ventilation and a 1x1 shower.

We chose this hotel on a smartbox, but what we saw on it is different from reality. We were sold a dream. Some people were shown to be very professional and very kind, however, in terms of catering service the waiter will have to be a little more friendly and more professional, lack of friendliness, a smile is nice and free!!!!!!!!!! Spa side, too hot not pleasant, the customer cooks!!!!!!!!

Hotel very well located in the city. Eco-responsible approach appreciated. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Something to quench your thirst in the room or have a coffee or tea. Room and bathroom spacious. Possibility of access to a microwave is a real plus. It would be even better if: - the room was better soundproofed (noise of footsteps of people above, noise of the neighbors' coffee machine) - the sink faucet was easier to operate (the equipment is a bit old which does not allow you to easily "dose" its opening and undoubtedly can be a source of overconsumption of water)

No air conditioning so we had to open the windows and our room facing the street was noisy and we slept very little. It's a shame.

Small room and very small bathroom. No elevator, poor soundproofing. Decent bedding, coffee and tea capsules, fan (no air conditioning). Very small terrace. Simple breakfast (too bad there is no fresh bread and pastries. Bland croissant and pre-baked bread). Maybe no bakery in Bort les Orgues!) Average dinner (quality/price). Overcooked rib-eye steak although ordered rare (black streaked so grilled too hard). Little choice of main course and dessert. No menu for the evening meal, only the à la carte menu.

Overall good experience; however, room 48 should be better adapted to the exceptional heat.
We had the Apartment, it was clean and well equipped but a little old fashioned. Breakfast was great. Restaurant with great ambience.
Cons: Room 12 on the street side was very noisy and there was a lot of noise from the children in the room above. Luckily we had earplugs. - Excellent meal but I had a piece of beef that was overcooked. (I had asked for rare) Cons: Clean and comfortable room. I recommend the spa.
It was good, air conditioning in the room would have been a plus during the heatwave. The service in the restaurant was unfortunately mediocre without the managers present.

A beautiful place, an extraordinary breakfast and a warm welcome
The welcome upon arrival was not very warm. The responses to the requests made were curt, almost insolent: "Can you tell us how to get to..." Response: "with the GPS it's fine..." The rooms: one was cramped and the other was deathly sad. The toilets were in a small space: it was impossible to close the door once seated.
Problem with the spa, excessive product dosage, burning eyes, watery stings, difficult to keep eyes open (spa Saturday 9/08) irritation of the throat, chest, nausea, itching, the 2 hours reserved were reduced to 30 minutes (at most), spa used Sunday morning, there is a big improvement, but there is still some discomfort. No allergies for me and my daughter, both used to spas and swimming pools. Hair dryer does not work, toilet seat broken. Outside temperatures on 9/08 around 35 degrees (day of our arrival), rooms without air conditioning certainly, but the shutters were not even closed. Yes disappointing, our Saturday evening was ruined.
The place is great. The room is really nice and the bedding is good. The only downside is the welcome from the hotel staff, it's a shame they're cold and you can tell they have a lot of work to do, probably understaffed. But it's still a very nice place with a great restaurant. Great value for money. I recommend it.
We had dinner the evening of our arrival, the meal was very mediocre and the best thing we had ordered was beef fillet as an extra on the menu, which wasn't fillet! It came in several pieces, I asked the waiter and he assured me that it was fillet, I didn't want to make a fuss. As a retired butcher myself, I have serious doubts, even if the piece was placed at the beginning. I won't be going back and even less recommend it to friends.
A little disappointed with the restaurant and the air conditioning is lacking with the hotel's urban location and therefore noisy if you open the windows.

I had room 15, very clean, but it was impossible to sleep. The room above must have a macerator for the toilet. At 11 p.m., I called reception, who told me to call back if it continued. Which I did, but all 5 of my calls went to voicemail!! Not cool.
No-nonsense establishment with friendly and professional staff. The location between the river and the main road of the town is rather quiet and bucolic with contemporary decor, a shame for the sad and abandoned town in places. Room with very comfortable king-size bedding with a view of the river and a charming little balcony for us, as well as a large classic bathroom, a shame about the "plastic" shower cubicle. Extra and generous breakfast...excellent mentions....rarely seen better!! The food is "cooked" with fresh products. Lacks a little variety for the half-board But it remains correct, rather local and of good quality. The price remains at the discretion of each person but correct for the season.

A warm welcome, a very pleasant room with a magnificent view and in terms of meals a very generous breakfast with a wide variety of sweet and savory flavors and a dinner where the quality of the products was perfect and the cuisine prepared with a top-notch balance.

The room was nothing like the photo when booking on Logis de France. The room was very small, no air conditioning, and very noisy because you could hear the people above you and those using the stairs. I had bites on my body when I woke up, but I didn't know what it was.

A hotel with a relatively high price for the services it offers! No elevator, no air conditioning, rationed toilet paper...
Basic and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Basic room. Could be a little better maintained, especially the bathroom (grouting isn't very complicated and it immediately gives a clean impression. Unlike black grout). It may also be missing the air conditioning, which is very welcome during these heat waves.

The room and bathroom are large. It's easy to move around. The room is very clean and very pleasant with a view of the Dordogne. The restaurant, overlooking the town of BORT LES ORGUES, is very pleasant. The food is plentiful and, above all, very good. This is my second time here, but if I have to come back, it will be to this hotel. When I arrived, the receptionist offered to carry my luggage without me asking.
I was expecting a standard room, but what I got was a small attic room with a small bathroom featuring a shower tray with black grout. The room was too hot, and the duvet was too hot. Honestly, the price was excessive for what we were offered.

Booking a comfort double room given the size of the room and its bathroom what must be the classic room! On the hotel plan I think we had the smallest room. Room next to the stairs what a continuous noise! No place to put your things, a corner bathroom, tiny, not practical at all, sink held by a thread, mold. The evening meal almost identical to that of lunch with 1 less dish for 7 euros more!

Very good stay, the private spa (2 hours!) is a great plus. The room (view of the Dordogne) is very comfortable and quiet and visibly recently renovated. The breakfast is plentiful, varied and qualitative. On the improvements to be made: - It is a shame that the hot water takes so long to arrive in the shower, we waste a lot. - More regular maintenance of the spa would be desirable (there was no more tea when we went there, for example), but we were there on Monday morning and this slot is perhaps a little restrictive. Overall we would come back with pleasure.
We were disappointed by the room, on booking, the surface area was 25m² (it was supposed to be barely 18 or even 20m² at the most), the quiet street turned into a very busy street until very late in the evening (1am) and very early in the morning (6am)! Short sleep for us. No one on our arrival for breakfast after several minutes, we decided to go and help ourselves without waiting, laundry basket on the coffee table in the small living room! We had to cut our stay short for professional problems but we still had to pay the full amount because we had booked on Booking! No problem for the payment of the night not spent but hey it's not cool!

Overall pleasant stay, I recommend. The small downside is the shower which leaks a little (tired seal) and dust above the shower.

Pleasant and efficient welcome. Very little space in the room. 2nd floor without elevator. I tend to take the stairs even when there is an elevator, but I indicate it because it can be a hindrance for some people. Very good breakfast.

118€ for the "Premium Evening Stopover" we expect something other than a small old-fashioned room with a tiny bathroom in poor condition, toilet in the bathroom, mini sink unusable because it is so small..... This room, number 1 is against the landing door which bangs on the wall every time you pass... The only positive point is the Nespresso in the room!!!
On the ad and the reservation, it says premium room and the 48 is from another age especially the bathroom. So I am disappointed and it is one of the reasons why I often go elsewhere towards Ussel, Egletons. Otherwise the meal = very good.

If the room is small, it is up to date and very functional. Placed on the river side, quiet night despite the rain on top of the restaurant placed in front of the window. Very appreciated parking for the vehicle of almost 5m that I had.

Nice friendly hotel, not much English spoken but we got by. The food was excellent eaten in the restaurant overlooking the river Dordogne and the breakfast I was completely spoiled for choice.

I was disappointed with the rest. The window opens directly onto the road, when you open the window, you are directly on the sidewalk, no privacy and security, so impossible to leave the window open despite the heat. Lack of soundproofing. Lots of noise coming from the street but also from the SPA early in the morning. The cleanliness of the bathtub left something to be desired... it would be nice to have a refrigerator in the room. Some lamps did not work.

Very disappointing room which does not correspond at all to the photos presented on the Booking site, old-fashioned room and bathroom, basic comfort which gives the impression of a return to the past. Good welcome and good food The hotel is in its original state and could do with a bit of a makeover. The rooms on the street side are very noisy because of the busy road.
We stayed the night of July 27 to 28. It was very hot in the room despite the fan (it's July, that's normal). There was no shutter or curtain on a window so you were up at sunrise... The receptionist's solution was to put a cushion in front of the window: not very funny for a night at 135 euros... Very disappointed. ..

Clean room but nothing like all the photos I've seen. Funny anecdote: a very nice intern to whom I asked if I could drink my beer (which she had just served me) in the main room (I couldn't see any other place to work for a few minutes with my computer, my room being too small). She then turns to a young man who looks at me askance while smoking his cigarette and who obviously finds my question incongruous. He doesn't deign to approach me to talk to me and is content, 15 meters away, to say "No sir! We're drinking beer at the bar. The room is the restaurant (there are lots of small empty tables) I comply without fuss ;) and I tell myself that his Dad who manages the hotel should explain a few things to him about the "customer approach". total (I don't care much about it actually). Suggestion: go through a hotel management school and learn some common expressions towards customers. I will no longer set foot in this establishment which is not worth it. three stars.

Shower with yellowish traces of soap, almost clogged sink, traces on the walls, very low pressure and Methuselah hair dryer…. The bedding is good and the welcome is friendly.

Room (comfort on the river side) not huge but quite functional, clean and pleasant with bathroom still not huge but also quite functional. Pleasant welcome, really good breakfast with a good variety of products of apparent good quality. As for the SPA, despite a problem with the temperature of the jacuzzi (slightly low) we had a very good time. So overall a very pleasant stay!
