The Hotel des Glycines was the perfect choice for us. The air conditioning was excellent, and the rooms exceptionally clean. The decor and fittings seemed new. Also, it was definitely the most comfortable bed and pillows I've ever slept in! Check in was quick and easy, and the owners very helpful and kind. I would happily recommend this hotel for a peaceful, and very comfortable stay.

This could be such a lovely hotel but Arles Sur Tech is not popular with tourists. We were the only people staying in the hotel for most of our stay. There were very rarely any staff about and it was a very strange experience. the young lady who helped at breakfast was great but also serviced the rooms and cleaned all the public areas so, for example, when the coffee machine wasn't working I had to find out what was wrong with it and re-fill it with water. We were in the hotel on my birthday so asked to eat in the hotel restaurant but we're told it was full. We didn't ask again as I felt that they weren't interested in meeting our needs. There are many little things that could be improved - the wooden flooring was badly fitted, the decorations done poorly, the shower tray fitted wrongly so it flooded the bathroom. These are possible to fix but actually what was wrong for us was that we did not feel valued or even acknowledged as guests. For example , when we arrived, there was no-one at the hotel and we had not been asked about our time of arrival. We sat for half an hour waiting for someone to come. We went out and came back and the door was locked. We had not been given the code and there is noone on reception. I don't like to give such a negative review and I think a big part of the problem is the lack of clients - if there were more guests I am sure there would have been more staff on hand to look after us.
What a wonderful experience for our evening and night in this beautiful renovated hotel. The host couple is very kind. Jennifer at the reception and service, with a good knowledge of wine, Cédric as an experienced chef, I highly recommend their table. Gourmet cuisine at reasonable prices. We want this young couple to succeed in their great bet of taking over this historic establishment. A big thank you to them
