The owners of the hotel were both there to welcome us when we arrived. They were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel building itself is lovely, beautifully designed and furnished. We enjoyed an early evening drink in the bar alongside a real fire and wandered around an excellent impressionist exhibition in the art gallery. The room itself was excellent with a Super King, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was also delicious. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel. Barbizon is an interesting, well served village with a good selection of local restaurants.
Un très bel endroit, une vraie bulle d'oxygène. L'hôtel est très agréable, le lounge donne envie de se poser et prendre le temps.
Les chambres sont spacieuses et lumineuses, avec vue sur la nature c'est vraiment appréciable. Seul bémol, cela manque de tableaux aux murs dans les chambres qui viennent ponctuer agréablement l'expérience, d'autant plus que l'hôtel se situe dans la cité des peintres !

Merveilleux séjour
Très agréable escale au sein de l'esquisse. Accueil chaleureux, chambre spacieuse et bien agencée. Petit déjeuner excellent avec des produits locaux.
Une machine à café pourrait être un plus dans la chambre.
Et peut-être au vu de la qualité de la prestation proposée, une petite attention en chambre serait appréciée.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for one night. In short, we had great experience. The service was great. Staff were friendly. The owners spent time explaining the paintings in their gallery to us. We shall definitely choose this hotel next time in Barbizon.

A place full of taste and hospitality. Directly on the other side of the street of the Musee de Peintres de Barbizon, close to Restaurants and the Forest. With impressive art exhibitions where you can learn a lot about Artist colonies and impressionism as an worldwide movement in art. I would love to recommend!
