The centre of the whole complex, its beating heart, is the Piazzetta, a meeting place for socialising guests, with shops of all kinds: bar, ice-cream parlour, rotisserie, supermarket, newsagent, tobacconist, Sardinian handicrafts, clothes shop and laundry. All the services for a peaceful and carefree holiday. The strong point of the Portolaconia residence is its location: you can walk to the beach in front of the village in a few minutes. If you like water sports, you can enjoy windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, diving and snorkelling. If you prefer other types of sports, you can enjoy tennis, horse riding and golf. If you want to get to know our amazing island better, you can venture on boat trips to the archipelago of La Maddalena or the islands of Corsica. Cannigione: is a small village located a few kilometres from the residence. Here you will have access to all the important services: post office, bank, restaurants, bars, newspaper kiosk, tobacconist's and many shops for your purchases. In addition, we recommend an evening walk to the harbour or among the stalls of the local craftsmen. There is a fascinating theory that this part of the island was home to the Lestrigon people, whom Odysseus confronted in one of the chapters of the Odyssey. The toponym Arseguen, in fact, could have a Greek origin. Arzachena: whatever its origin, Arzachena is a fascinating centre that is definitely worth a visit, thanks to the presence of many attractions: the Roccia del Fungo, the churches of Santa Maria della neve, Santa Lucia and San Pietro, the Albucciu nuraghe, the nuragic complex of Malchittu, the tomb of the giants of Coddu Vecchju and the neighbouring nuraghe La Prisgiona. If, on the other hand, you prefer museums, we recommend a visit to "La scatola del tempo", the smallest museum in Italy but which, in a few square metres, embraces the entire history of Arzachena, and the "Labenur" museum, a recent establishment, located in the old railway station of Arzachena, but which embraces the archaeological history of the area. Through the "Labenur" museum you can organise many excursions in the area. Finally, Arzachena is also the ideal place for an evening stroll among the craft shops and cultural events that the municipality organises every summer to entertain the growing number of tourists.
