The main problem is the value for money of this hotel. In addition, it was cold in this room and I was unable to turn on the heating. The prices are clearly overpriced compared to my other stays in higher-end hotels, however. The welcome was average overall. Only the breakfast was perfect.
Initial impressions good and property attractive and characterful, BUT, those impressions soon dispelled. As a couple in their late 70’s and mid 80’s, having travelled a lot, we’ve never stayed in a hotel where the servicing of rooms has been almost non-existent. Our booking was for 8 nights. On arrival the bathroom had only a part used toilet roll, with no spares, and we had to ask for a new roll after 3 days. The only obvious servicing of the room was to empty the waste bin in those 3 days. On or about the 4th or 5th day we had to ask for clean towels!
The hotel information indicated that for stays longer than 3 days the bed linen would be changed. That never happened during our 8 day stay.
We were not alone in having this problem, another guest told us he had exactly the same problem. To add insult to injury we were charged for breakfast for all the days, but in fact had only had breakfast on two days of our stay….. we didn’t realise this until after having left and started our journey home.
Apart from the noisy neighbours, the hotel is charming, with friendly and welcoming staff. The only regret is that there is no evening meal on site.
Beautifully decorated, quiet hotel. Very comfortable bed. The welcome tray is appreciated. It lacks a little general maintenance: peeling wallpaper, shower drain clogged with hair, no more shampoo in the dispenser, rusty shower door... Too bad, it loses the charm...

At 105€ per room, we could at least hope to have a hot shower.
Accueil pas très chaleureux. Pas de personnel avant 16h et plus personne à 21h!?? Petit déjeuner limiter en choix pour un trois étoiles ?!!! Lit qui crack à chaque fois que vous bouger et/ou retourner. Juste un hôtel de charme mais loin du centre d'Orléans. Environ 3,5 km.

Very nice hotel with lots of charm, air-conditioned room with very comfortable bedding, spacious and modern shower, very pretty wooded park and fabulous breakfast in a veranda
The hotel is in need of some repair, our decor in the room was ok, but the bathroom is in need of cleaning. The basin tap never gave us cold water, we couldn’t turn it to cold. The shower was good, but the container for shower gel was empty and it was squeezed so nothing came out.
Although there was a box for tea there was only two sachets, no milk and no coffee sachets.
The breakfast was adequate, we went to eat at 9.15 there was one croissant left, the hostess explained she would have to go to get more from the bakery, that was kind of her, really there should have been enough for all visitors. There was bread.
The fruit was ok, there was different jams and some flat cheese and ham. The boiled eggs were hard and cold. Some cereal available.

When you choose an old house, transformed into a hotel, you can expect a small room, poorly soundproofed (the sound of the neighbor's television across the street!), a very small bathroom (you get up from the toilet and hits his head on the sink) are examples experienced at Villa Marjane. But it has its charm. Good location. A smile from the owner would have been a plus.

Gebäude aus dem XvIiI Jhdt., schöner Garten - fast Parkähnlich - mit verschiedenen Aufenthalts- und Sitzmöglichkeiten unter schattenspendenden Sträuchern und Bäumen, liebevoll vorbereitetes und angerichtetes Frühstück, feine, helle Zimmer und viel Parkraum für KfZ. Directly from Orleans, 120 km from Schloss Clemenceau, 60km from Schloss Chambord.

Hotel with charm but the room was small and the bathroom microscopic, a shame for a 3-star hotel
Nothing to say about the welcome. On the other hand, very noisy neighbor and almost no soap.... Not great. And to make tea, it's in coffee cups.
