Rooms a little damp, but very nice, very practical and rather inexpensive suites for large families

in UNUSUAL hotel! unforgettable to sleep in a real cave. Breakfast. succulent, rich and varied. Heated swimming pool enjoyed in the afternoon.

I recommend this hotel, a little out of time! Very nice discovery.

Very nice and very original experience. The exterior of the hotel is charming and the interior of our accommodation, the little Troglo, was refined and warm. Everything is clean and comfortable. The mosaic room plunges us into another universe. In short, it was a “timeless” moment, very exotic and relaxing.

Although a little way from the A10, staying at this unique hotel was a great experience, the cave rooms are warm and beautifully decorated with lovely fresh linen and the hosts could not be more welcoming. The breakfast was extremely good . Enjoyed seeing the famous Azay-le-rideau. Plenty of restaurants in town, though probably fewer on a Monday

My friend had Covid and we had to cancel our stay. I called the hotel at 1 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. to notify them and ask if it was possible to reschedule our stay. Each time, I got on the answering machine and left a message. No one ever called me back. Of course the amount of the night has been taken. I don't know how good the accommodation is, but their communication is terrible!

Very good stay, nothing is missing. Special attention to disabled people (elevator), very good breakfast, top-notch homemade yogurt. Spacious bedroom and bathroom with storage, plus a beautiful sunny and quiet terrace, 2 minutes from the city center. Parking at the entrance to the hotel.

Very warm welcome in this wonderful atypical place, nestled in nature, quiet. Very nice swimming pool, where you can relax. Good bedding, impeccable cleanliness. The breakfast buffet offers a varied choice, from sweet to savory, plus homemade cakes and yogurts, which is not common in a hotel.

What a unique place to stay! It was more expensive than some of the other places on our French tour, but well worth it. We loved the room (Victoria H), the pool, the views, and it was close enough to the town to walk to a restaurant each evening. Friendly hosts too.

The sarrazine suite is very comfortable, but it is a cave (there is no ventilation) and it smells of humidity. It was very uncomfortable for me to sleep like this.

Lovely, unique hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived on Sunday and they provided a wonderful cold selection including homemade quiche and plenty of pudding. The hotel is a short walk to a beautiful town with restaurants, bars and a châteaux.

Very great place. Everything was right. The hotel is very close to Azay-le-Rideau and therefore to the beautiful castle. The place itself also impresses with its beautiful facades and old flair. The hotel was built, furnished and managed with a lot of love. In addition to the trogloyt cave rooms, there are newly built rooms that match the ambience of the hotel and are very modern and chic. The owners of the hotel are very very nice, very happy to answer any questions and were just great hosts. We were there for the second time and would love to come back. A real insider tip.

Superb hotel complex

We booked this hotel at the start and end of a 12 day cycling trip, spotless, our car was left in the safe parking lot at no extra charge. The welcome is exceptional and the rooms very clean The breakfasts are 80% homemade, even the yogurts and jams are delicious I highly recommend

Very disappointing experience, we are greeted by overflowing bins, reception is in the kitchen and the room feels more like a mobile home than a cave room. In addition, the price corresponds to top-of-the-range accommodation for a very average stay: unacceptable value for money.

Sleeping in a troglodyte room is an experience to do at least once in your life. It was a very good experience. The owner knew how to highlight the place without distorting it. We had a very warm welcome from the owners. The gentleman is passionate, he has made a beautiful room and enhances the place. Other bedrooms, beautiful terraces so that everyone has a private corner, beautiful swimming pool,... The breakfast room is magnificent (converted cave). The breakfast is hearty with good products and delicious homemade products: yogurts, cakes, ... If we go back to the region, we will choose this hotel for a future stay. Thank you to these hoteliers who make their customers happy.

We loved our stay in this atypical hotel, full of charm and surrounded by nature. The “grand troglo” room is magnificent. The staff is attentive and very kind. Special dedication to Lewis who knew how to seduce us with his beautiful blue eyes.

Fabulous experience!!! Everything was wonderful!!! Sleeping in a cave! But, also so beautifully set-up, extremely clean, so quite and comfortable!!! I didn't understand that there wasn't a restaurant for dinner but they brought me the most delicious meal in a basket! Quiche and soup, cheese and meat plate and dessert! Everything was perfect!

This is a fabulous hotel, and it was a perfect stay apart from the pre-booked room suitable for disabled access was not available. This was corrected by asking people to change rooms.

Nice surprise that this troglodyte hotel. We appreciated the welcome and friendliness of our hostess, as well as the comfort of the room. The swimming pool is a plus, especially during this heat wave. The buffet breakfast is complete and well stocked. A beautiful address.

A wonderful place to stay. Our family of 5 stayed in a large cave suite, which was cool on a 36 degree day, spacious and well equipped. Not to mention an unusual and memorable experience. The hosts went out of their way to ensure my Coeliac daughter could enjoy a delicious breakfast along with the rest of us, including a wonderful homemade gluten-free chocolate cake. The breakfast generally was generous and delicious, served in a wonderful cavern room. The pool is on the hillside, a decent size, and with plentiful comfortable sun loungers. The village of Azay-le-Rideau is a 15 min walk away and the hosts booked us a table in a great courtyard restaurant, forewarning them of my daughter’s dietary restrictions. We had an unforgettable stay and would not hesitate to return.
