Very pleasant hotel overall, with a team that listens to us, both the managers and the staff. We feel a soul in this establishment, the manager did not hesitate to come and meet us at the end of dinner to get our impressions of the meal, and then share his knowledge of the region with us. I highly recommend this establishment

no shutters in the room so wake up at 6:30 with the dawn of day curtains certainly but not enough blackout no air conditioning either so sun shining on the room at the end of the afternoon, heat a little stifling I am a traveler and therefore benefit from the loyalty program which does not work on the stopover evenings at 103€ including tax I find that a little limited so I will not go to this establishment again! the wifi not up to scratch works badly and in addition the wifi code is not communicated to you on arrival, treasure hunt to find it no welcome booklet it is stuck behind the door... the TV is postage stamp size...

Everything was perfect except the Wi-Fi was impossible in the room and difficult even near reception.
A beautiful house that will satisfy the most demanding guests both in terms of the hotel and the restaurant. Chef Guillaume Fournier offers generous, creative and flavorful cuisine. Attentive and friendly service with Maxime. On the menu at €35: - an unforgettable semi-cooked foie gras - a piece of beef with blue Auvergne cream and aligot purée - and a signature dessert, the chocolate dome and its coulis....and the little glass with it......we had two more days in a row. For a few days in Cantal and Aubrac, this is the ideal house for a memorable stay.

Delighted by our stay both in terms of the welcome: friendly and super nice boss who bends over backwards to please you, who takes the time to chat with you and answer your questions, and then the cozy room with real cast iron radiators that heat well! (horror of air conditioning)!, the comfortable bedding, the fact of having roller shutters so total darkness to sleep well, which is rare in hotels now!, the quality of the meals with meat of remarkable quality!, the best we have eaten! specialties like aligot or pounti (which we did not know) as well as good homemade desserts, a buffet breakfast with all the essentials: orange or apple juice, ham, cheese, bread and pastries, cereals, butter jam, farm yogurts and various fruits, the only thing missing is eggs but for 12.50 you should not ask for the moon! It was already good enough to start visiting all the wonderful sites to see around: Chaudesaigues with its water at 82°, St Flour, the gorges of the Truyere, to do absolutely the circuit by car, with the Garabit viaduct, the cirque of Mallet: exceptional point of view! the Grandval dam, Alleuze and its castle, Anglards de St Flour, Faverolles... then the circuit between Margeride and Truyere, with a stop at the small village of Chaliers, go to the cemetery and admire the plunging view of the Tuyere, here we are at the end of the end! take the small path behind the cemetery which goes down to the river at the bottom, here it is not yet very big since the Tuyere takes its source in Margeride, take the Valadour footbridge to cross to the other bank and stroll in the undergrowth! Also stop at Recoux (St Just) and go to Calvaire, an exceptional panoramic viewpoint! At the hotel reception, take the Pays de St Flour welcome guide book where everything is very well explained about the circuits to do! Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to do everything and in November night falls quickly! But with magnificent sunshine for these 3 days, this short stay remains unforgettable!
Kamer en diner waren heel basic, ontbijt was good.
Great welcome and clean hotel. Very good restaurant. The king size bed the mattress slides between the 2 maybe to see to put a strach or other, but the mattress is very comfortable. For breakfast why not give the choice to the customers for the jam more choice in cold cuts of the pressed juice ... for the price.

Really nice hotel in the middle of the countryside. Our room was huge with a huge bathroom and extremely clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I also recommend eating in the restaurant, we had a great meal. It was great that the hotel had a the local aperitif, wine and digestif to accompany the meal.
As an observation, perhaps some of the decor was a little 'tired' but I'm mentioning this just to set expectations, it isn't something that should stop you choosing this as a place to stay
We are generally satisfied. The quality of the restaurant is very good. Our room was spacious and pleasant with good bedding. However, the soundproofing needs to be improved. The breakfast is of good quality but its price is too high. The brochure downloaded from the Internet (excluding booking) is not up to date. Prices do not match and are misleading.
We made remarks during the dinner taken at the restaurant the host, which were not taken into consideration. Overpriced for the quality of service....
