There were also a couple of blood stains on the mattress cover. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant - the service needs to be worked on a bit.

Nothing to say! Hotel with careful decoration, impeccable cleanliness. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and equipped (coffee maker) as needed. As is the bathroom. A charming, quiet hotel with perfect bedding. The restaurant has very friendly, attentive, but not overly so. The dishes were very well presented and absolutely delicious. We had a great time.
This was our second stay. This time in the most historic room 108. Very large room, you would think you were in a castle room, completely different from the Suite we had taken during our first visit. We are sorry that the check out was difficult.
Regarding dinners, the bills were divided between the rooms without taking into account the exact allocation. Regarding breakfasts, your colleague booked a B&B package via an online platform, so breakfasts were automatically billed. Regarding yours, this was indeed an oversight on our part.
The receptionist that day offered to defer payment of your bills in order to adjust the rates. You declined this option and paid immediately.
We understand your frustration and will ensure this does not happen again.

Very clean hotel but the service is a bit expensive, I find the menu expensive and the service much too fast, in the room you can hear the water flowing in the pipes when the rooms around you are using the water. The night is also quite expensive

Room in the attic with air conditioning, quite simple, but with a dog too many stairs to climb. After an excellent meal, I recommend the restaurant, super good, back to our room and surprise upon entering a smell of grease, invaded the room, really unpleasant, then several sockets did not work. I reported these two problems when leaving to the reception, apparently they were aware of the smell of cooking in the room.

Regarding the rooms, there may indeed be odors that creep into some due to their location in the building. The rooms are regularly ventilated and deodorized.
The outlets, after checking, are working properly. They depend on a two-way system connected to a switch that was accidentally disabled.
We understand that climbing stairs with a dog can be challenging, but all of our air-conditioned rooms are located on upper floors. You may request to move to a room on a lower (non-air-conditioned) floor. We accommodate these requests whenever possible.
We will pass your compliments on to the chef for dinner.
The breakfast room is a bit cramped when it's busy and access to the buffet is difficult.

Regarding the breakfast you had outside, there was indeed a delivery truck parked in front of the hotel with its engine running. Some refrigerated trucks must leave their engines running to maintain a constant temperature in the refrigerated space for food preservation. You had the option of finishing your breakfast inside for a more peaceful stay.
Regarding your comment about the mattress, we regularly update our bedding. This type of mattress may not meet your personal expectations.

This hotel has a charming feel but could use some renovation. The mattress was sunken. The hygiene at breakfast was poor. Everyone was touching the bread because there was no cloth provided to place the bread on the baguette. The breakfast was very brief. It's a shame because with more care, the place would still be charming. It could be improved.

We are surprised by your comment. At no point did you express your dissatisfaction with the amenities in the room you were assigned. This is the first time we have received such feedback. Our bedding is changed regularly to ensure the comfort of our guests.
Regarding breakfast, a napkin is actually placed over the bread to protect it during handling. It is possible that when you came, it was removed by another customer. The choice seemed limited to you. We offer a continental buffet with several cheeses, ham, eggs, pain au chocolat, croissant. We favor as much as possible homemade products: compote, yogurts, cakes, jams, or local with pian, honey, fruit juices which are very popular with our customers.

A lovely quiet town. The hotel is situated in a central position with plenty of parking available outside the entrance adjacent to the square. The bedroom was very spacious with a small separate sitting room both with access to a balcony which proved to be perfect as we were traveling with a dog. The Aircon was lovely as the weather hot. The staff were very helpful. The restaurant proved to be excellent and the breakfast very good. All in all a good choice and definitely one to repeat in the future. Thank you.

Intense heat in the room, where we had a fan... we were told since then that there was air conditioning, but we were not informed of this upon arrival, and it was not working. The stairs are not suitable for elderly people.

Regarding the air conditioning, we don't turn it on until our guests arrive. It's an energy-intensive system, and we let the guests decide whether to turn it on or not. The air conditioning remote control is always within reach, hanging on the wall so it's clearly visible.
You found that there were too many unsuitable steps to access your rooms on the first floor.
Our building is older and spread over two floors. The stairs leading up to the building are standard. Unfortunately, we are unable to install an elevator due to the building's layout.
We only have two ground floor rooms, both of which were occupied during your stay.

Seduced by the recommendations of the 2024 guide, we set off to spend an extraordinary weekend (2 nights, 60 years of marriage). It turned out that the room was just passable, no air conditioning, hair in the shower and a disastrous anniversary meal (poorly prepared sweetbreads, almost raw prawns)... Our weekend was ruined.
We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations.
Regarding the room: Unfortunately, not all of our rooms are equipped with air conditioning due to the layout of the building. All rooms without air conditioning are, however, equipped with a pedestal fan to provide our guests with the maximum possible comfort. When booking, please do not hesitate to specify that you require air conditioning.
We are surprised by your remark regarding the property because at no point during your stay did you inform us of this observation. You could have contacted the reception and we would have immediately remedied this.
You didn't enjoy your dinner. Once again, the hotel and restaurant staff are attentive to their guests. We are here to ensure you have the best possible experience. If you weren't satisfied with the food, simply contact the staff and a solution would have been found. We could have offered you a different dish, for example.

Charming hotel in the heart of a very pretty village. Very beautiful and large room with a lovely view of the courtyard and balcony. Unfortunately, I took the Etape package and the evening meal (apart from the starter) was really not good! For the main course, I received raw fish and really not good at all, my plate left as it was and the waitress did not ask me why I had not eaten anything! Dessert ordinary .... Really a shame, I was hoping to eat well! On the other hand, an exceptional and really delicious breakfast with excellent quality fresh products.

Concernant le lieu et le personnel tout est parfait .
A savoir l'hotel n'est pas climatisé dans la totalité des chambres .Par ces forets chaleurs j'ai passé une nuit d'enfer meme si l'on m'a fourni un ventilateur .De plus j'ai été désagréablement surpris. Ma chambre n'avait pas un lit double mais 2 lits individuels.
Un très bon point pour la qualité de la restauration et du service .

- toutes nos chambres ne sont pas climatisées en effet. Le premier étage est protégé par l'épaisseur de nos murs en tuffeau et les volets que nous fermons des le matin et un ventilateur est stocké dans le placard . La conception du bâtiment ne nous permet pas de climatiser cet étage. Il est vrai que pendant les canicules qui frappent notre pays quelques jours par an, nous sommes tous malmenés.
- En ce qui concerne la taille du lit: certaines chambres sont équipées avec des lits jumeaux, soit 90x200, soit 120x200. Suivant les disponibilités il se peut qu'un client ne puisse pas avoir accès à une chambre avec un lit de 160x200, nous nous en excusons par avance.
Nous vous conseillons à la réservation de nous adresser vos demandes spécifiques, afin que nous puissions au mieux répondre à vos desiderata.

Often traveling during the week, I love working in this region because the evening stopover at the Relais de la Mothe is my favorite, the place is a real haven of peace, the smiles and the kindness of the staff are so pleasant after a hard day, and the icing on the cake, the chef at the helm of the restaurant is breathtaking!! We enjoyed our brief stay at Relais de la Mothe is situated in the village of Yzeures-sur-Creuse. The hotel owner Isabelle is a great hostess and her restaurant is excellent. The hotel is a 5 minute drive from the town of Le Roche Possay which definitely worth a visit, being situated on the Dordogne River with a magnificent view from the bridge over the river which is pedestrian friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Everything is great! The welcome is full of kindness. The rooms are very cute, very clean, and the bedding is very comfortable. The breakfast, made with local products, is very tasty.
