Beautiful establishment and very pleasant welcome

I booked a room because the hotel is surrounded by nature and accepts dogs, and I absolutely don't regret it. The welcome was very warm. I had requested a ground-floor room because my dog can no longer manage the stairs, and we were given a lovely, well-equipped room with old-world charm. We enjoyed wonderful walks with our dogs, as there are so many hiking trails in the countryside! The hotel has a large park where dogs can walk at night. We had a drink in the lounge and dinner in the evening—original, delicious, and very convenient homemade dishes in jars when you don't feel like going out again! The bed in the room was comfortable, and there's even a kitchenette with a refrigerator. For those who appreciate old-world charm, nature, peace and quiet, and a warm welcome, this is the perfect place for a break!

While visiting Chinon, we had a very good night at the manor, in a peaceful setting. The welcome was very friendly and the breakfast was also very good.

Accommodating at such short notice, as stated room was basic, however, adequate for the price. Attention to detail, slightly lacking as only one set of towels in the room. Disappointing advertised on booking.com, restaurant, which we required after traveling from Spain, to find it was closed. Small details, didn't upset our stay too much. Beautiful building.

While the rooms could do with some updating, the quality of the welcome, the kindness and helpfulness of the staff are the main characteristics of this place. You quickly feel at home. The calm of the place did the rest. Its isolated location yet close to everything is an undeniable plus.

We chose Friday for Sunday at the last minute. We stayed two nights. Superb stay, we don't regret our choice. Very good value for money. In the middle of nature / 10 minutes by car from Chinon / Starting point for a bike ride / Welcome and friendliness / Very good breakfast / Little extra possibility of dinner from Monday to Friday. Jar system, moose, delicious, good value for money.

The manor has a lot of charm and beauty. The staff is very helpful. The double rooms are spacious and affordable. A great place to stay.

A very nice surprise! A very pretty house that knows how to welcome with discretion and kindness in a magnificent village and all this in an indescribable calm. The park is littered with ancient trees that inspire calm. For dinner, the jars are healthy food and the price is extremely reasonable. We have breakfast under a sumptuous tree. The room is comfortable, quiet and original. Special mention for the bilingual channels as well as the welcome.

A very beautiful setting for an excellent stay!

Very satisfied with the stay at the Manoir de la Giraudière, very quiet, possibility of eating on site during the week (too bad that this is not the case on weekend evenings). As far as I am concerned, I was very satisfied because I needed an oxygen tank delivered. Everything was done so that I could have the tank upon my arrival. A big thank you for that. And a big thank you to the whole team for their availability.

We had a lovely weekend in this lovely manor house which, despite the kindness of the staff and the quality of the bedding, could do with a bit of renovation. We think you should review the quality of the bread and jam for breakfast. We recommend this establishment.

For just one night, I was satisfied. The only slight regret would be the slightly outdated condition of the rooms. The furniture could use some updating to brighten things up. The old building is beautiful, but the decor lacks a bit of warmth. The breakfast outside was very good. A pleasant place.

We spent 3 superb days at the estate. ALL the staff were great, especially our evening host (a lady of Irish origin). We recommend without hesitation, as much for the setting, the staff, as for its meals (practical and good). We will come back!

We were offered a night in your establishment. The room was very old and dark. And when we wanted to use the sink, a sewer smell came up. Fortunately, the bed mattress was comfortable. But for a romantic weekend, two single beds pushed together is not great... and not even a shared duvet! Due to the unpleasant smell, we were offered a smaller room! A downgrade when we were already penalized was the best part! However, we appreciated the quality of the breakfast.

Very warm welcome, pleasant staff. The room was a little dark but clean. Very comfortable bedding. Hearty breakfast, very good. The only downside was the soundproofing. We had a family in the room above. It was very noisy from 6:30 a.m. onwards, making it difficult to rest.

The staff is friendly and the manor is pretty. We let them know that we were coming with our 6-month-old daughter and would have preferred a room on the ground floor rather than on the 1st floor (no elevator) in order to transport the bed and baby's things.

The Giraudière manor is a very beautiful place in a green setting. This place is very peaceful to recharge your batteries, it's perfect. The welcome is very pleasant with good advice on discoveries and restaurants. We had the opportunity to rent bikes for free and for the whole day. With roads accessible only by bike and on foot on the edge of the manor. Really perfect! The only downside was the iron bed frame that kept creaking with every movement.

DEFINITELY TO AVOID. Hotel located in a countryside lost in the middle of a village in decay. Upon your arrival, the hotel and its surroundings are in a lamentable and sinister state. We do not understand the current classification in 3 stars? It is indeed an old "manor" but which has never been brought up to date. The managers or owners do their utmost to hide this situation.

We spent two nights, our room smelled of humidity and a smell of dust in the bed, two nights having difficulty breathing, being already fragile it was even worse.

A selection of quality products (take a few minutes to chat with the people who welcome you), local for what can be, to offer a substantial choice of savory and sweet. The manor is a superb building but unfortunately very poorly maintained. A little gardening and cleaning would make the place magnificent. We noticed a smell mixing humidity and old age of the place in the common areas and corridors. However we had a very decent room.

Manoir de la Giraudière is an exceptionally charming hotel, picturesquely located on the Vienne. The welcome is warm and the staff is very helpful. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from historic Chinon and the hotel is great for cycling.

Room which deserves a little renovation and soundproofing because there is incessant whirring all night long....(on the ground floor laundry...?) Parking for electric vehicles monopolized by thermal vehicles...so it is impossible to charge our vehicle... The manager did not wish to disturb the customers, however gave us the possibility of recharging our vehicle on the hotel terrace...(around 11 p.m., after an 8 hour drive....):-( It would be good if the manager enforces parking instructions within his property in order to avoid this type of inconvenience....!!!!
