Logis Hôtel l'Escargotière

As is often the case, I stopped at L'Escargotière on my way back from the South of France, with my dog, who is welcome. I'm never disappointed with the service. This Saturday, November 8th, I had given advance notice of my arrival and my desire to have dinner at the restaurant, but as it was closed, Lina offered me a menu prepared in advance by the chef, which I greatly appreciated. The room overlooking the parking lot was very pleasant and spacious, as was the king-size bed. Another stay is planned for this spring.

The young woman at reception was very helpful, and the service was impeccable. I believe her name is Manal. The service at the restaurant was also very quick, and the staff were very gracious.

Excellent value for money and a very friendly and professional team

It's a shame they don't speak English for such a beautiful place. There's also no information on paper in English.

Very pleasant welcome and service

Broken bedroom handles, dead electrical outlets in the office, loose toilet bowl, clogged sink. In short, disappointing.

Room heater could not be turned down. Booked a room for 5, but had to build the second bed for the kids ourselves. Left early and were rudely asked whether we had paid yet (which we had). Probably okay for couples but the family room is not really suited for families.

As usual, waiting time to get the invoice and pay, as usual the invoice is incorrect because the Egencia reservation was not taken into account, in short!

Hotel in the suburbs of Dijon. The decor is adequate, but the cleanliness is impeccable.

The morning coffee machine took a long time to start up......

Very bad because the room was to hot.. no airco and about 35 degrees during the night. We couldn’t sleep and had a very bad night.
Alnd also the receptionist was very infriendly like it was our fould the door and the aurco didnt function

A little disappointed by a water leak from the very old air conditioning when I wanted to return to my room in the middle of the night. I was offered to move to another room under the roof, so it was very hot and the air conditioning was in worse condition than the previous one. So I asked to get my previous one back with a puddle in the entrance. It's a shame because the hotel is charming, the staff very friendly but it really needs to be modernized. I add that given the yellowish marks on the false ceiling from where the water drops fell below the air conditioning, the problem was clearly not new.

Waiting at reception upon arrival. Cold restaurant. "Stale" wine. Questionable sink and toilet. Broken radiator top in the room. Non-existent soundproofing. Move on.

And no fridge in the room is a shame because given the heat there is no way to keep a bottle of water cold and with 3 children it is not easy.

Hotel understaffed... The very friendly receptionist also has to serve in the restaurant alongside a young, inexperienced person (second day on the job). This is despite the fact that many guests are arriving at the hotel. The Wi-Fi connection is UNUSABLE from room 104 😱

I had booked the hotel restaurant for the evening but it is closed on Sunday evening even when we arrived we were confirmed the restaurant reservation...

The welcome was excellent and the staff friendly. The room was spacious with a large, comfortable bed and all the necessary toiletries. However, breakfast is expensive for what's offered.

If you like to take a shower with your feet in the water, making sure it doesn't overflow... No problem then... Sink blocked too... For breakfast, you have to be the first to arrive otherwise you get leftovers... Didn't see any staff putting back what was missing... In short, very average service for the price... Is it a 3 star?

Door een fout van mij was de eerste nacht in een "standaard" kamer, deze was gedateerd en niet te vergelijken met de kamers die ik normaal gesproken krijg. Hier mag echt wel wat aan gedaan worden!
De volgende dag van kamer gewisseld en weer perfect zoals ik gewend ben. Prima medewerking.

Long wait before being able to sit at a table at breakfast because the staff seem to prefer cleaning tables rather than seating customers. Too bad.

Small room with the bare minimum. The bathroom could use a renovation. What's the point of the locked minibar, just a TV stand? The big problem is the broken air conditioning. On very hot days like the one I stayed in, the room feels more like a sauna. And there's no way I can open the (double) window because it overlooks a large avenue with 4 lanes of traffic. Reading previous reviews, the air conditioning hasn't worked for about a year. What are you waiting for to fix it? The receptionist offered me a fan, but it blows the hot air around. However, the air conditioning works well in the reception area and the restaurant. I didn't know this establishment. I tried it, but I won't be back.

Booked at the last minute as I was on the road. They had a room which was very clean and welcoming. My only comment about the room was the size of the shower cubicle. Other than that nothing to fault. They graciously served me dinner at the last minuter as it was late. Food was good. Breakfast is a bit poor but didnt affect my overall experience at the hotel

Avoid the 4th floor room, small and clean but the bathroom is old. Breakfast was very good! The bedding was poor quality. Private parking and the hotel was close to Dijon.

Dit is mijn vijfde bezoek aan dit hotel, de ligging, parkeergelegenheid en de constante kwaliteit is de reden voor mij om voor dit hotel te kiezen wanneer ik op doorreis ben. Uit gemakzucht gebruik ik ook het restaurant voor het diner, de kwaliteit van het hoofdgerecht laat sterk te wensen over. De meeste bijgerechten zijn van te voren klaargemaakt. Ook al bestel je het duurste gerecht op de kaart dan wordt het vlees op de grill gebakken net als de frites. kwaliteit van het vlees is ook middelmatig.
De ober die er al jaren loopt is ongeïnteresseerd en bij het eten van het nagerecht worden tafels al klaargemaakt voor het ontbijt. Glazen van gasten die een drankje op het terras nuttigen na het eten staan er de volgende dag nog. Dit valt bij ieder bezoek op.

We booked on Logis Hotels because we are used to these hotels and are rarely disappointed. It was noted that the rooms had air conditioning and the air conditioning was not working even though it was 32 degrees! Complaints made, nothing can be done by them, just the employees.... It was noted that the restaurant was a master restaurateur, I would say canteen meals!! Not possible to eat on the terrace, not enough staff!! There are 6 of us eating for 2 waiters!! We will not be back!! And we are in a 3 star!!

Overall OK, entrance closet not clean, bathroom heater malfunctioning; very little toilet paper upon arrival. The restaurant is short on food even though the room is not that full. One or two people are missing from this establishment.

The shutter unwinder is broken and wrapped around the window handle. A sign on the fridge says the hotel is offering us a bottle of water available in the fridge, but the fridge is locked. The room is not ready when we arrive.

Decent hotel, average food

Once again, the restaurant was closed in the evening! The restaurant is one of the main reasons for our choice, as we don't feel like leaving the house after a 10-hour drive.

Good stay, shame that the restaurant is closed on weekends. We chose this hotel following a recommendation for the restaurant, we had to eat outside.

A hotel that is not worth its price and even less its 3 stars. Uncomfortable bed Hello back pain in the morning and even then only if the night was not disturbed by the noise of another room, no soundproofing..The toilet flush was broken and we could hear the water running, the worst was the heating, despite knowing that it was defective in some rooms, we did not get new rooms (hotel supposedly full while the parking lot was empty) and not even a gesture on the price.. a word of advice run away..

We chose this hotel because of the restaurant wich should be open on Sundays. When we arrived we were told the restaurant was closed!

My preference for "logis hôtel" always guides my choice! But I think that this establishment does not live up to this logo! ... both in terms of the hotel and the restaurant!

We received a quality welcome. The room is spacious, the bathroom comfortable and in perfect condition, the whole is very clean. Breakfast and dinner quite satisfactory. Access to Wifi seemed unclear to us but we did not make a verbal request which would probably have resolved our difficulties

I can really recommend it, the reception is very friendly, the dinner is plentiful and good. I thought 9 euros for half a litre of beer was completely excessive. The pint on the meadows is a bargain. All in all, suitable for passing through

Room available only from 2:30 p.m. minimum, 2 out of 4 sockets did not work, the heating in the rooms does not work, we managed to warm up with the bathroom heating for a few minutes before it also cut off. Comfortable bedding, and welcome 24/7 appreciated.

Arrivée pendant la nuit, réservation via Booking, on sonne à la porte à plusieurs reprises et on ne nous réponds pas, j’ai du appeler l’hôtel pour signaler ma présence et enfin on a daigné nous ouvrir. Ayant réservé par booking, nous avons bénéficiez d’une réduction, ce qui ne semblait pas être au goût de l’accueillant, qui nous a fait attendre entre 15-20 minutes pour imprimer 2 papiers… Lorsqu’enfin il me donne la notex, je paye en liquide et il me doit un reste. Il met l’argent dans son tiroir, va se rassoir à son bureau et cherche de nouveau je ne sais trop quoi au lieu de me rendre mon reste, c’est là qu’il a entendu mon chien, qu’il s’est levé d’un bon assez content de nous dire qu’il y avait 5€ de frais pour celui-ci.
Bref après avoir conduit pendant des heures on a pas envie de ça…

Overall, a decent night at the Escargotière. Note some confusion and shortcomings in the breakfast service, where customers were left to their own devices, or even reprimanded; the tension among the staff and the uncertainty in the service were perhaps linked to the temporary transfer of meals to an adjoining room, due to work in the usual room...

Great hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is very good. Hotel to recommend even if a little away from the highway.

If this is a 3 person room I will eat my shoe. Not worth any money. Very noisy, you can hear everybody walk, talk and any kind of noises. Overall very disappointing. And not even a discount for the very small room. WiFi is very bad

Dined at the restaurant, a good one, but a slightly high bill for the meal 41 euros with water, some restaurants in the region are much better and cheaper, I won't put a wouaouuu.

Noisy hotel, you can hear conversations in the other rooms above or annex, the TV worked 1X out of 2, the chairs in the restaurant need to be changed, the mulch is torn..

Everything was great in the hotel. It was cold in the restaurant. Outside temperature 35°, inside it felt like 18°. The evening meal was very good. We wanted to enjoy breakfast outside. The unpleasant person in the service did not approve of this and it was not possible for us. She was also very busy and clattering dishes loudly, even though there were very few guests. Most of them had already left. This was not pleasant.

Decent hotel, with parking and catering. The room is comfortable but a little rustic and the lighting system is impractical. The restoration is correct but nothing more.

Absolutely very friendly staff, helpful, etc. Everything is perfect except for a small refresh to be carried out in the rooms on the upper floors, which must be done soon according to the information provided. We tested this hotel restaurant in 2022 and were very satisfied with it. Last year (2023) due to lack of a reservation early enough, we had to choose another hotel very close to this one and were extremely disappointed. I totally deplore the fact that this "so-called hotel/restaurant" tested last year is as well rated as Logis Hotel L'Escargotiere, which is absolutely abnormal and incomprehensible. So don't always rely on the number of stars.

Problems with plasticized underlay which transforms the night into a real sauna. Unacceptable!

Room 209 very cold, the radiator does not work in the room or in the bathroom. Room light does not work nor does the TV remote control. The bed creaks and there is no soundproofing. Room located facing the elevator and the stairs, you can hear the elevator going up and down and the sounds of suitcases. Intolerable. Terrible night.

No heating in the room when I arrived even though it was February. After start-up, insufficient heating. The double glazing is so dirty that you can barely see through it. Sink faucet splashing on you. No soundproofing, the neighbor's shower woke me up. Linoleum from 30 years ago in the bathroom. I will not come back.

Correct accommodation, catering can be improved. On the other hand, dismal organization in terms of breakfast! Totally empty buffet at 9.30 on a Sunday morning. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed at the weekend. The restaurant was an important criterion for us. Since we only stay here at the weekend when we are passing through, we now have to look for another hotel with a restaurant. The room was also very cold. The heater in the bathroom didn't work.

We stopped at Logis l'escargotiere and we enjoyed it. Well renovated room, good bedding. Impeccable bathroom. The evening meal at the restaurant was very good.

2 AR passages 10 days apart. Reception at the hotel a little cold, reception at the restaurant very very good and pleasant thus compensating with the hotel welcome. Simple but effective restaurant menu. Breakfast a bit tight compared to the price €12.50. The room is missing an electric kettle to make herbal tea (available in other hotels).

Very good, small thing all the same, a kettle would be missing in the room to quietly make a herbal tea.
