We chose this hotel because of the quality 'tasty'. We are quite demanding and experienced. It was delicious and everyone should discover the quality of the food. Although the dinner was fantastic, the fluorescent lighting was harsh and uninviting.

The evening meal and welcome were very good, however breakfast was very expensive and there was no flexibility or discussion. A real shame, especially since the room door didn't lock. We had to go downstairs without locking it.

A warm welcome and a delicious meal! The door leading back down to reception (main building) could be better signposted...

EXCELLENT ESTABLISHMENT, NEEDS RENOVATION

During our one-night stay at the Hotel L'Escapade, we discovered a truly wonderful place. The welcome was very friendly and efficient, the room was remarkably clean, and the heating was just right, both the bedroom and the bathroom – not too hot, it was absolutely perfect. The half-board meal was delightful; it was delicious, generous, well-prepared, and served with efficiency and professionalism, all delivered with great kindness. A real treat in every way. As for breakfast, it was perfect as well. A very well-stocked buffet with fresh, local products – in short, a great start to the day. All in all, an excellent stay that we highly recommend.

It's a very nice place, whether you're a tourist in the region or, like me, on a business trip.

The close surrounding area was a bit depressing but this hotel was a real treat. The food was better than excellent and the accommodation and reception very neat and welcoming.

Hello, Our review is based on a long stay with half-board; the only disappointment is that my disabled wife did not enjoy the superb swimming pool because the steps were too high, which is a shame, as this swimming pool was an important selection criterion for us...

Very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. One note: add a few accessible power outlets to plug in the increasingly numerous chargers!

Great overnight stay and an example of family run French hospitality at its best. Room on small side and a little old fashioned but cool and perfectly acceptable. Pool and aircon a godsend in 32 degrees and the restaurant and breakfast both outstanding.

Very satisfied: - very comfortable room located in a small detached house - indoor swimming pool - breakfast, fresh and very complete - hotel in a green setting, very peaceful - very friendly staff - very bright dining room, in the green with an unobstructed view In short, a very pleasant surprise, like a sort of oasis.

This review is just my own, but I found the room very small, with minimal comfort (no wardrobe, narrow single bed, no coat rack in the bathroom, etc.). And above all, I can't believe the quality of the sheets: not sheets, but simple mattress protectors, rough and very uncomfortable, like I've never seen in a hotel. All this for 130 euros, I think it's too expensive for the service provided.

Toilets need to be reviewed. Reception. Management very good. Very good meal. Disappointed by the person serving in the dining room. Value for money not justified, penalized by the high room price.

A very good establishment. Room perfectly adequate, very clean and well equipped. The management and staff are very professional, attentive and available and very pleasant. The catering (menu and breakfast) is perfect. A very attractive evening menu, qualitative and beautifully presented, served in a very pleasant manner. The dishes follow one another at a balanced pace, without rushing or excessive delay. A well-presented breakfast, varied as desired. In summary, no "faults" either in the quality of the accommodation or in the quality of the catering. A very short but great stay! Come back without hesitation.

A very pleasant hotel with a beautiful pool and a gourmet restaurant. We had a great time. The breakfast was very complete and delicious. A spacious and comfortable room. The staff was friendly, so it was perfect for us.

I discovered a great place to stay in the Argenton-sur-Creuse region. A quiet establishment with very welcoming staff and owners. The menu offers very high-quality dishes, and I really enjoyed it. There's an outdoor pool available, so don't forget your swimsuit! As for the rooms, there's nothing to complain about: they're very comfortable and clean. They're cool despite the high temperatures. I didn't even have to turn on the air conditioning. Finally, the breakfast is very good value for money, with homemade pastries available for those with a sweet tooth. In short, a great place for a stay or a one-night stopover. I'd go back.

Everything was made so easy! We were shown to our rooms and all the electric key stuff was explained clearly. Every detail like a magnifying mirror in the bathroom! Lived the pool-,very clean, salt hit chlorine and graded steps. We do enjoyed our short stay! Restaurant was brilliant too.

A great one night stop on our road trip. A really lovely welcome from the owner. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The food was really good - one of the best breakfasts weve had and the evening meal was excellent. The pool looked fabulous but unfortunately didn't have time to enjoy it. The room was simple but immaculate and very comfortable. We slept well - really good air conditioning. I would only mark down slightly if it were possible because we literally had no view. We enjoyed the space to sit outside and enjoy a drink before dinner. Would happily return.

This was a perfect stop-over on our way from Toulouse to Ouistreham to catch the ferry back to the UK. Just off the main road and easy to find!

ROOM FOR PRM: broken grab bar in the toilet and shower grab bars very far from the seat: therefore very complicated. Otherwise spacious bathroom. In a wheelchair just access on one side of the bed otherwise no passage around the bed. Easy access to the room. Good reception but they did not come to try to resolve the problem of the grab bar during our stay.

Very disappointed with room-had booked a double room but the room was for 4 people and very crowded with beds. Bathroom unsatisfactory and it is inappropriate to have to hang clothes in the bathroom as no storage in bedroom.

Excellent traditional hotel, very well maintained, room obviously recently updated, top bedding, spacious shower, quality stopover evening, excellent meal from the boss, possibility to modulate with the menu (normal supplement), wine by the glass, sweet and savory breakfast, very well-stocked buffet, and for the electric car 11kw charging stations. Let's not forget of course a really nice staff. If all hotels were like this one ... :-) One of my good "drop-off points" during my business trips in the region.

Very nice standard room. Great that we could swim and go into the whirlpool, really a plus. Completely refreshed to the restaurant. Restaurant was disappointing. Entrance: escargots au sauce morilles was great & main: crevettes sauce idem. Tournedos not good with too sweet (?) sauce….. and that in a menu of €40,-. Girl who served us very nice, made everything right.

Great evening spent in this hotel well located in a beautiful village very close to Argenton in Creuse. Quality service, welcoming, affordable, pleasant and helpful staff! Swimming pool a great asset. Very cozy room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom where everything works perfectly.

We only spent 1 night, but it was really great. The children (and parents) loved the pool. Everyone was very friendly, kind, attentive. I highly recommend

the typical sordid motel of Hollywood movies perfectly defines the hotel: the smooth cotton sheet is replaced by a totally uncomfortable mattress protector. the shower floor gives an impression of dirt, a block of urinal deodorizer is placed on the flush, the doors creak, the window overlooks the roofs, no soundproofing, ... the warm goat cheese salad is to be avoided, the slice of goat cheese is placed on a piece of dry baguette and grated cheese.

Well placed for exploring the Valley of Painters, Argenton, Brenne and Creuse, air-conditioned and well-insulated hotel with an excellent chef. Perfect for a good night's rest before getting back on the saddle the next day. The swimming pool with jacuzzi is a big plus. Only small disappointment: the change of our towels (it is unfortunately common to want to respect the ecological instruction 'towels hung up I reuse' and that they are loaded anyway...)

Rooms on very noisy road

We enjoyed our overnight stay very much in this hotel! It was well located along our (no-toll) route to Aquitaine and a good place to rest and enjoy the pool and spa with the kids. Our room was very clean and practical, had a nice terrace and large enough for the 4 of us. The only downside is that the breakfast and restaurant areas are not really cozy. The dinner itself was OK but the breakfast was very nice with a lot of homemade products. Yum!

We discovered this hotel last year during our return trip and were seduced by the room and the meal. So we decided to go back this year. And there, we were disappointed by the quality of the meal and its cost! I particularly enjoyed the snails, which I therefore ordered again... and there = big disappointment! Snails with garlic butter for which the butter had completely “evaporated” probably due to being in the microwave for too long! Comment made to the waiter who simply said that he would point it out in the kitchen. No return after that! And rather ordinary sweetbreads, not corresponding to the memory of the quality of my meal last year! Was the cook on leave? Or has it changed? In short, difficult to give an opinion = positive for last year (but you didn't ask my opinion) and quite negative this year because of the quality of the meal and the cost of the service = draw! So = - if you come and you are received as we were last year = I recommend without problem - if you come and you are received at the restaurant as we were this year, you risk be disappointed!

The hotel was very nice. The price of the room was slightly higher than I would have expected to pay -there was no english tv, or ability to make tea etc in the room, but this was offset I suppose by the availability of a fabulous swimming pool. Food was excellent, and service impeccable.

We were welcomed with a smile and good humor from the getaway team. This is the most important thing in our eyes and you will not be disappointed with your stay. The rooms are spacious and the bedding very comfortable.

I stopped at the Escapade to cut a journey that I found too long. I just had to congratulate myself on my choice. Kind welcome, I was accompanied to my room. A comfortable room, in sober tones, modern bathrooms and obviously very well maintained. The shower room is equipped with an electric towel radiator which is very pleasant. I would have liked the bedroom window to have a sheer type curtain, because with only blackout curtains, you are forced to use artificial light even when it is daytime unless you like living in an aquarium. No courtesy tray in the room, but a safe, quite difficult to access however because it is placed on the floor, perhaps it is awaiting installation... I had dinner in the hotel restaurant in a pleasant room where I could see that many regulars were there without the service being any less attentive to me. I liked that when the manager (?) arrived on the premises, she went from table to table to make sure everyone was satisfied. I didn't find the dish to be particularly inventive, but what I was served (and the details of which I have already forgotten) was good bourgeois cuisine. I did not take advantage of the hotel facilities, such as swimming pool, etc. and will therefore not comment. In summary, it's a place where I can consider stopping occasionally or even spending several days if I have things to do in the region.

A NICE STOP, we were very well received and an evening meal to match. The rates seem a little high for the quality of the comfortable room but a little cramped for the price.

Quiet and well-equipped hotel, our room was clean with comfortable bedding. We used the nautical area (swimming pool and spa) it was clean and super pleasant. The catering section offers simple or gourmet menus. We tried both, no false notes. I recommend this establishment.

Discovered by chance, the Logis Hôtel l'Escapade was an excellent surprise. Warm welcome with accompaniment to the room. Large room where a family with 2 children will be very well accommodated with a terrace providing direct access to the swimming pool. Note that the room is equipped with a smart TV allowing you to project programs from different platforms such as Disney+ onto it; Netflix, Canal+,....via your smartphone. Functional bathroom with a beautiful shower. Excellent catering, simple but mastered dishes, excellent value for money. Abundant breakfast with lots of local products. Everything is there, from squeezed orange juice to scrambled eggs accompanied by country ham. Excellent fresh bread and homemade jams. Free parking (in front of the accommodation) Very nice waitress and boss just as much. In short, for us, faultless and an address listed in my favorites where we will not fail to return.
