Superbe hôtel, surclassé gratuitement, beaucoup de place dans la chambre même avec un lit bébé il y avait de quoi se déplacer, superbe vue sur le château de Saumur depuis le balcon !

Demandez une vue sur le château, ça vaut le coup.
La chambre 20 avec grand balcon est top. Très cocooning. Avec un grand et bon lit.
L'accès tardif est simple et l'accueil a pris les devants en expliquant la démarche par téléphone.
La salle de petit déjeuner/restaurant est chaleureuse, beaucoup de bois avec un éclairage idéal.
Quelques points un peu moins bien, les tableaux sont de travers, la douche fuit sous la porte, grosse flaque à la sortie de douche.
L'insonorisation est aussi perfectible et le branchement du radiateur est étrange.

Following a heart attack my wife suffered on October 7, 2025, we sought refuge at Les Terrasses from October 18 to 23 with a single objective: to enjoy complete rest. We had already appreciated the charm of the place on several occasions, and this stay confirmed the wisdom of our choice: perfect accommodation, generous and high-quality à la carte meals, and above all, kind and very attentive staff. At the end of this self-imposed convalescence, my wife felt revitalized, and we moved on to continue our already long lives elsewhere (93 and 90 years old).

Dear Sir/Madam, We spent the night of November 4th to 5th, 2025 at your establishment. The welcome was excellent. However, I did notice a somewhat dated room, a shower with mold stains, and a surprisingly flexible shower tray. A little training on cleaning procedures, and the proper placement of mattress protectors and sheets, might be beneficial. The restaurant and breakfast service were very good. Special mention to the professional who tiled the toilet. Please note that the wooden slats between the parking lot and the entrance are starting to rot. This is my feedback after one night. Our stay was booked through a gift box, and no special treatment was given because it was a gift box (which isn't always the case). The room was very cozy with a small heated veranda, however, the entire hotel is in dire need of renovation. The staff were excellent, and a minor issue with the wine bottles was more than resolved by the manager. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The infrastructure is a bit worn, but the food is excellent, the welcome is perfect, the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly... and the Cadre Noir is close (5 minutes by car). Overall, an excellent stay.

We found this hotel through a box, we were lucky enough to be upgraded, so we had a room as big as a small apartment with 2 small balconies with small garden furniture, very quiet hotel, outside Saumur but with a beautiful view of the Saumur castle. Very pleasant dinner with musical evening, attentive and friendly staff. We had an excellent night with no noise from our room neighbors. We highly recommend this hotel without restriction, we will return without hesitation.

Overall, a decent hotel. Very nice view of Saumur and its castle in the distance. The outdoor jacuzzi is very pleasant with this view. The classic room is spacious with everything you need and clean. I'm a bit unsure about the overall decor of the hotel; there's no real unity and lots of pop art, vintage, old school music, etc. This style isn't to my taste, so it's a personal matter. The wellness area also lacks a Zen atmosphere. Rather sanitized and no spa music inside, which is a shame; that's really what was missing because all the facilities are there: jacuzzi, sauna, and outdoor pool, and jacuzzi, steam room, and indoor shower. Access to the wellness area costs €19.50 per hour, which I personally find expensive. The breakfast was quite varied and decent. We had a good time and the staff is attentive, thank you.

The place is magnificent, the view is breathtaking, a true haven of peace. The team is great and the restaurant is excellent. A very nice discovery.

The photos of the hotel do not correspond at all to today's reality - or are even misleading! - especially with regard to the independent accommodations of the hotel itself. I will therefore not pass any judgment on the hotel rooms that I have not seen. Everything seems frozen in the 70s. Mold in the bathroom and small childish stickers to hide the miseries (small holes that must have supported a soap dish no doubt? ... Equipment more than basic in the kitchen area. On the other hand, the bedding is very good and comfortable and from a gastronomic point of view, the restaurant is frankly worth the detour. I would also highlight the friendliness, dedication and kindness of the staff as a whole. The location is ideal if you are looking for peace and greenery and the view of the valley is breathtaking. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of the city and proximity to shops, move on. A vehicle is therefore essential!

Noisy hotel, group for the Cadre Noir shows. Hearty and very pleasant breakfast. Very good quality meals, cleanliness, good level of establishment, location for Saumur and its region at the top, but it's a climb....bring an electric bike. Disappointment: non-functional electric charging station, handicap!!!

Apartment not very practical with children. The shower is downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs are not practical and the decor is a bit out of date.

Dull hotel - barely clean, especially the bathroom shower area where some pebbles are missing!!! The joints are brown with dirt... need patching - just like the room: do not open the closet where you hang your clothes - cushions and linen tops are dirty - they smelled bad! Wellness area where the bottom of the lockers are rusty, water on the floor... strange smell. This hotel does not deserve 3 stars! Electrical outlets in the room, toaster radiator....

Very good overall, however the cleanliness of the room and bathroom (cobwebs, mold, defective light bulbs) needs to be monitored.

We spent the weekend at the Hotel des Terrasses in Saumur. We received a very warm welcome. The room was very clean. The restaurant is very original and the menus excellent. The wellness area is very cozy. The outdoor pool is very clean. We recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Reservation used as part of a wonderbox. Nothing to complain about, a hammam spa and sauna in the late afternoon, appreciated after a 4-hour drive (just missing a small clock) to manage our time. A very rich dinner with very good advice for the choice of wines and a decent breakfast the next morning. Very friendly atmosphere and staff with guaranteed calm. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located in a very nice area, and has a lot of accommodation options. To dinne in the restaurant is a must.

A big downside!!!!! After dinner, when we wanted to go to our room, the waiter pointed out to us that we shouldn't leave like thieves. This comment is not worthy of a three-star hotel. He just had to tell us that we had to sign the form for the supplement for drinks. An unpleasant comment that left us with a bitter taste.

A very disappointing accommodation. We had booked 2 rooms with our friends to visit the region. The pool was out of order, the evening meal was average: long waits and a piece of hanger steak that was inedible because it was so tough. The chosen wine was not available. In the morning, the tables outside from the day before were still not cleared, which did not give a good impression... No goodwill gesture from the management. The price paid does not correspond to the service. I do not recommend this establishment.

We had booked an apartment in this hotel and it was a very pleasant discovery. In fact, the apartments are located in individual houses which themselves are nestled in a small subdivision. The studio is perfectly equipped, the bed is very good and the kitchen has everything you need to cook like at home! Each studio has a small garden with table, chairs, outdoor armchairs and parasol! Really great! In addition, all the staff are very friendly, which is nice!

The restaurant benefits from a good quality/price ratio. The outdoor environment lacks maintenance (vegetation and dead trees). Small room under the slope. The establishment deserves a restoration.

Quirky theme but made the hotel stand out from all the other generic hotels that you see, staff were fantastic and patient as we dont speak much french, although menu slightly limited for evening meal, the quality was amazing and the desserts are immense. We had no problems with the menu for our 2 night stay.
Its location is ideal for the wine tours and wine houses nearby Saumur, but the city centre is a short drive away but that wasnt a problem.

The view is truly beautiful. The pool and wellness area are very pleasant. We really disconnect. We had a great stay.

This is the third summer that we have come to the terraces of Saumur, with our cat, and everything has gone very well, we are delighted every time!

We had wonderful days in a studio. Most guests stay just one night, so it's very peaceful, and we practically had the pool to ourselves. We enjoyed the beautiful view and the clean studio with a two-burner stovetop and enough kitchenware and cutlery for four people (there were two of us). We had a delicious meal in the restaurant. A shopping center with 30 shops and a very large Le Clerc supermarket is just 5 minutes away. The town of Saumur is a 10-minute drive away and is very charming. The castle is also worth a visit. In short, we'd love to come back.

We had a good stay at the hotel, the staff and the place are very pleasant. Our only downside is clearly the isolation of the rooms (we could participate in the conversation of our neighbors and were perfectly aware of their visit to the toilet). If you sleep with earplugs, no problem! We specify that this is really the only small problem that we could notice. The rest (and especially the staff) was very good.

Clearly, there's missing information about the charging stations. You indicate it as being available, so you should be able to provide billing information upfront as well. Because, finally, €0.89 per kW is very, very expensive! It doesn't matter that you're not the one managing the station; it's a service that you offer and that's indicated. Everything else was great, too bad.

Weekend of July 4th to 7th, perfect welcome throughout the stay. Just a shame to have to be contacted again on return Sunday morning, because you forgot to charge us for the Friday evening meals (title of the invoice in my opinion disturbing: towards profit center!!). Very good starter and dessert meal, to review main course: not up to standard cooking meat, sauce, fish dry chips.. (took 3 different dishes, none to our liking). Reservation made at the restaurant made in advance (what interest), to find ourselves inside. Big negative point, the presence of wasps impossible to have a drink on the terrace and to eat (restaurant and breakfast) without being invaded (to check the presence of nests) not at all this type of problem in the restaurants in Saumur, and in our rental where we had dinner Saturday evening (poppy). Use of the swimming pool and spa a real plus.

We didn’t feel that the rooms were private due ri the proximity of the neighbours outdoor areas.
The restaurant overlooked the pool which made it an unattractive prospect for a relaxed time.
The reception didn’t open until 8 am which was frustrating of you had a long journey ahead!

But the staff and food were fab!

A warm welcome, a cool atmosphere, and a bonus: the pool. The room decor is very stylish, with recycled furniture, which enhances the modern, anti-waste spirit. The setting and magnificent view of the castle are all in a relaxing green setting. I recommend this hotel.

We stayed one night in this establishment which has changed owners since June 1st. The room was clean but on the other hand it was impossible to operate the air conditioning and we were in the middle of a very unpleasant heatwave.

We had a great stay. Beautiful and very peaceful setting. A beautiful terrace with a heated pool and a superb view of the Château de Saumur. Very welcoming staff. The interior of the hotel and the rooms are very clean, but the exterior could do with some renovation (to be discussed with the new owners). The bedding was a little too soft for our taste. The separate toilet from the bathroom and the small private terrace were very good! Good food, beautiful presentation, but if you eat at the restaurant several times, you find the same decor and the same garnish in the dishes, a shame about this lack of originality. It's a shame to pay extra for the spa area and Nordic bath.

Very nice, quiet location with a pleasant terrace overlooking the Château de Saumur, very warm welcome from the staff. A general renovation should be considered (maintenance of the exterior woodwork, removal of the carpet in the stairs, etc.). On the other hand, the restaurant room is large and bright. The price for a standard room remains a little high, given the dilapidated window (the paint on the woodwork is peeling). Appreciated stopover, however.

We came as part of a Smartbox and we were very satisfied with our stay, both with the comfort of the accommodation and the excellent dinner and of course the swimming pool at 28 and the spa and the Nordic bath, not to mention the warm and attentive welcome from the staff.

The location was ok. The view from the restaurant was fantastic. The food was good.
I did not like the smelly perfume of the cleaning.
You could only see the view if you went to the restaurant. The room terrasses did not face any view at all.

We arrived thanks to a Wonderbox, so I can't really describe or quantify the price of the stay. But thanks to the Terrasses de Saumur, we were able to visit the Bouvet la Bude cellars, which was a very good experience. We thank the hotel again.

As its name suggests, this establishment sits on a terrace overlooking Saumur. A superb view, beautiful amenities, and since the chef changed the cuisine, it's even better.

Very warm welcome at the terraces of Saumur with very attentive staff. The restaurant is of excellent quality and the generous dishes are very tasty.

Nothing to complain about regarding the location of the hotel, the welcome, the wellness area and the meals. One downside regarding the logistics: no help, despite our 70 years, to take the luggage upstairs; the air conditioning motor was rather noisy at night; the shower was barely warm the evening of our stay.

We had booked 2 nights via a Smartbox. We were very well received by all the staff. Pleasantly surprised by the originality of the hotel. The restaurant, perfect! The bedding very good! I would like to know where you get your pillows! The best!

A nice hotel, just a little complicated to access due to work in progress on the town hall square... Be careful though, there is no heating in the room when you arrive, so it takes 3 hours to get back to a decent temperature...

Change of room on arrival due to a smell of sewage The perfect outdoor Nordic bath, however the outdoor sauna did not work, we had to pay the same price. We had our evening meal at the restaurant, the meal was perfect. However, a downside on the price of aperitif drinks 12 euros for a cocktail for us overpriced and especially unjustified

I hesitated to give the 5 stars to the question "would you recommend this hotel", because we want it to remain our preferred base, our romantic refuge with good value for money. Claude is a great musician, a good host. His entire team spreads positive vibes, we sense a real friendship in this hotel where we feel it is good to work...

for our second stay in this hotel restaurant we are very delighted with the welcome and all the attention that the staff pays to the customers 3 day stay on the Valentine's Day weekend meal very well cooked I congratulate the whole team cook reception staff waiter and waitresses barman and cleaning lady for their great work I highly recommend this very pleasant and friendly place

A warm welcome in this magnificent hotel, with an accompaniment to the room, the restaurant and the massage room, employees always smiling and taking great care of us, a restaurant with a very beautiful decoration and atmosphere, delicious cuisine! not to mention the view of the city! a clean room, with a beautiful decoration, a large and practical bathroom. A very well laid out breakfast that makes you want to eat and enjoy! A massage that allows you to remove all the stress and not think about anything! I recommend visiting this hotel.

The place is wionderful. The only criticism I have is the WiFi in the room we had did not work. But it did not impact our stay at all.

Want a change for Christmas……. We chose this hotel near Saumur for its relaxing setting and the proximity to our New Year's Eve location.
