I love this hotel!
It is set in an historic street with lots of interesting shops and restaurants.
My room, although small, was nicely furnished with a desk and lamp. Nice and warm with the radiator on and controllable.
The bathroom was new, spotlessly clean equipped with everything one would need; toiletries, plenty of towels and even a hairdryer.
I have no hesitation in recommending Hotel des Chardons Bleues!

Unfortunately, the hotel is extremely dated! The hairdryer and electrical outlets in the bathroom didn't work. The silicone sealants were missing or sagging poorly. Because the hotel is also a seafood restaurant, the rooms reeked of fish. There is no parking. However, the beds were very large and extremely comfortable. The room was very spacious. We booked this via booking.com. I read some bad reviews on the site afterwards but then, some people expect 5 star accommodation & service at a 2 star price & complain about minor issues. Bearing in mind that it was a 2 star hotel, located in the main street in Roscoff, we were satisfied with the room, service etc. We arrived with 2 bikes and the owner was very accommodating even though storage space was very limited.
The restaurant was closed for the 2 nights we stayed; however their home made jams and ice cream were delicious.
If you have poor mobility, it's probably not a good place to stay as there is no lift & bedrooms are on 3 floors. I can't remember if this fact is highlighted in the hotel description.

The welcome is cordial and direct. The rooms are quite spacious and the bathrooms are perfectly clean. The breakfasts are abundantly served and the homemade jams made by the owner are worth the detour alone (blueberry, mirabelle plum, apricot, plum and I forget some!). The only downside is that the service provider who installed the hotel's Wi-Fi or who advised the owners is incompetent! On the third floor, all that's missing is the noise of the 56k modem's "carrier" to make you think you've gone back to 1988... Fortunately, the hotel is ideally located in the city center and the 4G/5G reception is very good. On the third floor, 2 rooms offer a beautiful view of the bay. A little set back from the port, we found that the hotel provided quiet nights (window wide open all night). If we consider the essentials (reception, table and comfort of the beds) the mission is very well accomplished for a reasonable price given its location. We recommend!

We like to support traditional Logis hotels but are sometimes disappointed. This hotel has improved since the last time we stayed, quite a few years ago. We chose to stay here because we know the restaurant is good. However it was closed, Tuesday night! My fault, I should have checked before booking.
General areas are tired. No lift, uneven floors, small bathroom area; but it has a certain quirky charm.
The bed was comfortable. Good to have a kettle (especially as restaurant closed), but nothing else. Lady who checked us in gave us 2 cups; she was very pleasant and helpful.
We parked in large car park nearby, free between end-September and beginning-May.
Didn’t have breakfast.
Sadly will probably not use again.

No proper welcome. No meaningful parking advice. Evening meal as requested not available as advertised on website. Restaurant was shut. The smell in the building of cooking fish was appalling. No one available at checking out (0745) so no opportunity to use ETIK points. Room was large, bed comfortable, pillows well overdue for replacement - full of lumps! Previously used towels left in bathroom. Note rooms on 3 levels -no lift, beware. Breakfast not offered!

We felt the staff were somewhat abrupt and were aware of problems with our stay. Wi-Fi non existent in the room, to get connected had to go downstairs and sit on the stairs. TV had 2or 3 channels though the owner disputed this said there were 20, he was wrong. The hotel smelled of cooking fish. Access to the hotel was by the rear access via a smelly corridor where food, etc was stored restricting access.
