Despite undergoing major renovations, which they did warn me about in advance, they temporary dining room is very nice. The food was excellent, reception was friendly and helpful, my room was comfortable, modern and clean with a nice bathroom with a great shower. Not much more you could ask for, apart from it was amazing value for money! Overall, excellent. I have spent much more at some hotels for now better. Perfect overnight stop on my way south. I will definitely be visiting again.

As ever a great experience, I have been back so many times. This time was a bit different as the restaurant is being remodelled (I gather to open on 11April26) and so a temporary restaurant was operating in a large temporary building. The food was, of course, up to its normal standard, to say, it was excellent. I am lucky enough to be staying on 12th so look forward to seeing the new experience.

Have stayed here several times on our way to the Alps. Very convenient for the autoroute, easy secure parking, comfortable rooms and excellent restaurant which, sadly, we did not use this time as we were delayed on our journey and arrived late - good communications with the hotel meant that our room was open and ready for us despite our late arrival. Highly recommended.
Excellent stay in a lodge located in the grounds of this Domaine a short walk from the main building and a small indoor pool. The lodge was reasonable size, well finished with two small terraces that can be used in warmer weather. Staff were Friendly and engaging staff throughout our stay. The restaurant was excellent with an excellent choice of wines which you'd expect given the location! Would happily stay here again

We love stopping here on our way to the Alps. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the swimming pool is very welcome after a long drive and the food is exceptional.
As always our stay at Le Val Moret was excellent.
Great rooms (would appreciate shelf in the shower and a little fridge in the room), perfect location, and outstanding staff and food.
A great hotel just south of Troyes, and very easy to find off the motorway. Quality of food in the restaurant was a delightful surprise. We don't normally worry too much about the dinner offerings when we're traveling through France, and need simple overnight stops, but the restaurant here is excellent, and we will certainly return. Far better than the usual chain hotels.

Accommodation, facilities and restaurant all great, despite renovations.
Having stayed here multiple times - and shall continue to do so; on this sole occasion it wasn’t especially great. The main hotel building is undergoing major refurbishment and the restaurant is temporarily housed in a large on site building which in fairness was pretty decent for a temporary structure. The menu was limited and food was well below par compared to every other occasion I’ve visited the hotel - ordinarily the food here is superb. Bedrooms are untouched and absolutely fine as is the spa, just the rest of the place is a huge building site. But hopefully only for another couple of months?

Good stopover hotel close to motorway
Great hotel!
A perfect place to stay for one night whilst travelling to or from the ski resorts. Parking was right outside your room and the rooms were large enough to unpack ski bags, ski boots etc. The hotel restaurant is being refurbished but we had been advised of this. The temporary restaurant has been done very well and the food in the evening was excellent. Sadly, breakfast was not as good as we had hoped for, items were not replenished at the buffet for those who chose to have a later breakfast, this included plates. The pool, sauna and steam room were a great bonus.
Excellent hotel. We have been coming for years and the standards are excellent.
We have stayed many times and always enjoyed being well looked after. One attraction has always been the excellent food and the temporary restaurant was no exception.
Lovely accommodation in a peaceful setting. Ideal to accommodate my dog with good walking areas. Excellent despite building work going on. Looking forward to staying again when this has been completed.

The hotel is currently doing renovations but the quality of food, service and accommodation is still very very good. I stay at this hotel every time I travel to France. It is just off the motorway and near a Tesla charging point. I travel with 2 dogs and they love it too. The hotel staff are very welcoming and do a marvellous job.
Val Moret is our favourite stop on the way to the alps. Comfortable accommodation with car parked outside, excellent restaurant and an excellent spa. There is refurbishment going on until April and we were a bit concerned about the temporary restaurant. But it was just perfect.
We understand that renovations need to take place but overall we did not get the care and attention that we are used to. The rooms are expensive and are not sound proof. It is a convenient location and we have been coming for 20 years but the value for money and care has deteriorated. It is a shame as it used to be a lovely treat to stay at Val Moret.
Unfortunately the restaurant and reception was closed so no food at dinner or breakfast. We were made aware that the facilities were being refurbished beforehand but hoped there might be something on offer eg coffee. The room was cold. The shower had no surrounding enclosure so the bathroom floor was quite wet after showering. The reception staff (in a portacabin were very pleasant) were however very pleasant. The Spa was quite good but the jacuzzi somewhat unpleasant odour.

I travel all over France, and whenever I'm in the Troyes area, I rush to stay at Val Moret. Excellent value for money, with lovely staff!
The accommodation is ideally located in relation to road access. However, since the rooms are not in the same building as the restaurant, you have to change into warmer clothes to go from one to the other. This isn't pleasant in winter. The food is very good quality and the portions are generous. The same goes for breakfast.

I have been coming here for about 20 years, always friendly staff, excellent meals, and never resting on its laurels the rooms, and food get better every time - and after a log drive the spa and pool is a great way to unwind

A wonderful overnight stay in tranquil surroundings. Our small lodge was well equiped and comfortable although I would have liked an opening window.

This is a great stopover hotel - especially if you have pets. You can park right outside your room (other residents' ineptitude notwithstanding) and there are extensive grounds for walking and exercising your dog. We have eaten in the restaurant but we find it to be very expensive and the bar prices very high for France.
Breakfast is good value - usual continental offering plus hot food.
We have stayed here three times and you can't beat it for convenient access to the motorway when travelling across France.
Rooms have everything you need, great shower although this last time our room had a weird smell.

We had a beautiful, modern, spacious room, a good bed, good pillows, a quiet location, and yet not far from the motorway.
A perfect place to stay driving south from Normandy to the Alps. The staff were lovely, the room was really clean and tidy and I would really recommend it.

A nice stay in a clean, comfortable hotel. Good restaurant, nice views, just off the Motorway, easy access, good location to break our journey from south to north France. Relaxing in the Spa, but they need to switch on the sauna before guests arrive, it took too long to heat up to use, and there was no drinking water available. It would be easier if the towels were made available from the Spa rather than returning back to the hotel reception up the hill! A small comment, it was awkward to get into the toilet in our room as the large door open inwards very near the toilet.

I have stayed at Le Val Moret many times over the past 10 + years and it is my number 1 hotel of choice when travelling between UK and the alps, winter or summer.
This is my sixth time staying at this hotel and I would gladly return.
Another excellent stay, lovely room, fantastic meal in the restaurant. They always have interesting Champagnes at good prices by the glass and a good and varied wine list. The menu changes quite often and there is an imaginative use of seasonal ingredients with a good mixture of themed dishes and classics. I stayed twice in August and had two superb meals. I had a lovely room with a view. The ability to park right outside the room is a big bonus. The location close to the autoroute is super-convenient without being noisy and the grounds are very nice.
Charming and helpful welcome. Good room with air conditioning. Spa and pool very welcome. Restaurant offered an interesting menu. Well cooked and presented food with a good wine list.
The staff were all friendly and everything was explained to us. Even called us on our way their to ask if we would like a table booking for our evening meal which made us feel very welcome.
I always go to Val de Moret. It's in a great location, it's a beautiful place and well-maintained.

Too expensive, noisy VMC, difficult door lock, no safe, cramped room
Staff friendly, rooms clean and spacious although bed could be better due to mattress a little too thin and uncomfortable.
We stay in rooms 39-41 which are better quality than some others. We have stayed many times and enjoy the pool and restaurant very much. So easy to get to from the Autoroute as well.
In room 39 the drain in the shower area was struggling to cope with the water flow. I suggest a plumber cleans out the trap.

Reservation via Logis de France. According to the hotel, a reservation for 3 rooms was made for us. After an objection, payment of €111 via Logis was not accepted, and an additional charge of €243 was made via Mastercard. There was no response to the objection. The hotel manager was very strange right from the start. Our opinion: Reservation and payment through Logis de France, no response. Emails and letters to the hotel went unanswered. Even letters and registered mail from Logis de France received no response. After years without problems with Logis, now this – ONE night for 3 times the price, supposedly for 3 booked rooms. BRAVE! Is it still possible to book through Logis? Perhaps a response from you!!! Dr. Erich Fuescher
The overall service offered is pretty good. However, we were very disappointed to have the only room on the ground floor without a terrace, French window with a small table and chair overlooking the countryside. Photos of this room were of course not used to present the reservation proposal. When we booked, only the other rooms were used to show what the room type was. So false advertising. Especially since it's the same price. But without the view, without the terrace, without direct access to the outside, etc. In addition, a second disappointment when we realized that the annex is not on the same land as the hotel. And in addition, false information concerning the distance of 300m announced when we are 500m away. Further at the entrance to the village. So not next door to enjoy the spa which is even further below the land where the hotel is located. And the same for breakfast or other things. Really not practical. Furthermore, the pool was clearly not at 28 degrees as advertised. We are used to pools and this one was cold and therefore not at 28 where we have already had the chance to swim in other establishments. Also, the paid bathrobe rental is abused in our opinion, once again elsewhere it is offered for free. And finally, breakfast was quite expensive for the service offered. So yes, most of the products are good products but that does not justify the price in our opinion. Especially since the pastries are not homemade, nor the hot drinks. The orange and multi-fruit juices are quite basic. The jams are far too sweet for our taste. For the rest of the breakfast, overall very good. And we will end on a positive note, the staff is helpful, available and smiling. The room is quiet and the bedding comfortable.

Delightful staff and family. I know from previous experience very dog friendly too. Our room was next to the new extension which will be excellent but as a result we had no outside table by the room.
The dinner was excellent with very good service. My only small quibble (with many but not all) logis is that I would like proper glasses in the bathroom rather than the paper cups - also mugs in the bedroom .

We ( two adults and a 3 years -old child) spent one night in this hotel while travelling to our holiday destination. We enjoyed the hotel area very much, because of the position close to the highway and still very nice and green hotel surroundings. Our child was happy to have the possibility to run around and enjoyed the small playground under the trees. The hotel concept with separate buildings was very practical as you can park directly in front of your room door. The room was spacious and clean. Only one thing we didn't like was the carpet floor. We also had a little balcony with a view of cornfields and the highway. ( you could hear it at night, when you leave the window open, but it's perfectly still when closed.) Even the air conditioning wasn't disturbing at night and yet very quiet. The sleeping sofa was comfortable, the mattress in the bed little bit too hard as well as the pillows ( which is very subjective). The dinner we had in the hotel restaurant was delicious, one of the best we had in France ! The stuff was very friendly and even tried to speak English with us, which is also not usual in France. We will definitely come again, when we travel through France.

Beautiful hotel, great location near the highway, large and quality indoor pool. Very professional staff, both at reception and in the restaurant. Listening to the needs of its customers. The only downside is the soundproofing of the rooms; we can hear the shower and door noises quite easily in the evenings and mornings.

The bathroom has a large bath but you have to sit in it to shower. There is no curtain or place to clip a shower for a stand up shower.
Minor complaints.
Reception staff excellent. Restaurant staff very efficient but inflexible and no personality. I appreciate that our French is very limited and this will have been a factor. However my Wife asked if, with her steak, she could have the gratin dauphinois rather than the vegetables that on the menu came with it. Gratin is her favourite, but on the same fixed price menu only came with the andouillette - a dish that by its nature only appeals to a select number of people. Her request was bluntly refused. Just a small complaint but I suggest that the serving staff could be trained to allow the small degree of flexibility that would be expected, and makes a real difference to the dining experience.

Decent enough hotel, supper was chaotic, order was wrong, multiple times and bill was incorrect (which was corrected on check out) Also aupper was very slow, 2 hrs. Not ideal with three small children. Breakfast is expensive.

Exceptional motel style hotel with a superb restaurant. The rooms are very modern and well appointed, including air conditioning.
Ideal location when going back up north. Charming hotel and very functional room. Top restaurant with very original recipes and at a reasonable price. The hotel's best feature is its spa, accessible at no extra cost and very relaxing after driving. It's a pleasure to stop there and enjoy this break, whose staff is very welcoming and efficient.

We have stayed in this hotel many times and it is usually excellent. Unfortunately on this occasion, the room was very damp after we had showered because the fan wasn't working and there are no windows to open. This made the room uncomfortable. The food however was excellent as usual

Le val moret is always lovely- this time we stayed in s superior room which was really lovely.
We had a spacious room with a king size bed and excellent bathroom. Restaurant provided excellent dinner. Prices may be on the high side, but you get excellent dishes there. Two small extra starters were for the house.
