The hotel is well-located and easy to find. The room was clean and welcoming, but unfortunately a bit noisy: you could hear all the water noises from the neighbors. The bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was clean but basic, lacking storage and good soundproofing. We had half-board for three nights and were entitled to the regional menu, which was somewhat limited (snails and sea bass were only offered three days in a row) but perfectly acceptable. The wines were a bit pricey. Overall, a positive experience, but I would only recommend it for two nights.
It was cold in the room when I arrived!!!

Hotel Le Tadorne is a gem of a place. The staff are all without exception lovely and welcoming and friendly. The younger lady on reception in particular was outstanding and organised an alternative vegetarian meal for us on our second night so that we didn’t have to have the same meal two days in a row. The evening meals in the restaurant were very good indeed , although I am only commenting on the menu veggie. The serving staff were very efficient and the food beautifully presented.
The hotel itself is in a beautiful building - I would have liked to know more about its history - and is directly opposite the very picturesque Halles. There is parking in front of the hotel but it is limited and we parked on the street at the side of the hotel

A stopover that I would be happy to repeat: the place is charming and authentic, the value for money excellent, the staff pleasant and attentive, the menu in the restaurant tasty, the place is calm.

Friendly, welcoming hotel with excellent food
Authentic, clean and lovely accommodation. Bed very comfortable. Shower good. Staff - minimal in number but lovely - French is needed though! Location is pretty but there is quite literally nothing else there apart from a supermarket. Pool was great but across the road from the hotel and more attention needed - sweeping around, half of loungers had cushions - left out even in rain so needed to dry out to be used again; pool vacuum and cable left in pool whole of stay. Courtyard - lovely setting but again could be spruced up.
A very pleasant stop over from Switzerland to Calais. Meal in the restaurant was delicious and good value.

Great address: a typical hotel, with character, located opposite the pretty village market halls. We took the half-board option: very good value for money. The dinner taken outside on the terrace was very pleasant. Good food. Attentive and welcoming staff.
Hotel appears lovely but felt staff were not very welcoming and quite rude when I lost my wifi code. The shower leaked into the separate toilet. The beds were comfortable but the room was small and this could be reflected in the price. The pool was lovely however.

Myself and my family speak basic French, and on arrival this did not seem an issue as all staff spoke a good level of English. However, during the evening in the bar and throughout our dinner the staff became less and less helpful with the language barrier. Staff that originally spoke to us in English were no longer willing to communicate and made things difficult. Spending nearly €400 on a one night stay, this was very disappointing.

Dinner was excellent in beautiful surroundings but breakfast was decidedly average. The hotel is lovely and the staff very friendly too.

Dinner and breakfast OK
While passing through on our motorbikes, we received a warm welcome from the friendly and professional staff. The restaurant's cuisine is a real treat: with half-board, we enjoyed the freedom to choose our dishes à la carte. Breakfast is generous, made with fresh, high-quality produce. A special mention goes to the orange juicer and waffle iron, which add a delicious touch when you wake up! The hotel's setting is typical and picturesque, offering a calm and relaxing environment. The only downside: the frequent passage of large trucks on the road through this beautiful village, which contrasts somewhat with the peaceful atmosphere of the place. Our room was spacious, clean, and perfectly soundproofed, which allowed us to spend a very peaceful night. We also appreciated being able to park the motorcycle safely in an enclosed porch. In short, an excellent address where we will return with great pleasure!

C’’était formidable
A beautiful hotel on the outside, a beautiful restaurant, a spacious room but in need of a facelift.
Room located right in the middle of a very dangerous staircase ☢️ with 3 children including a baby and a 2 year old girl. Big leak in the breakfast room, we took a shower in the middle of our meal luckily the ceiling did not collapse on us. Leak sealed with three thumbtacks. It's a three star, where are they, I only saw the cobwebs.

Overall our stay was excellent. Pleasant and warm greeting, the room was spacious and comfortable - good quality furnishings. We ate in the restaurant which just added to the experience and 10 marks out of 10 for the standard and the way this hotel is managed.
I made one suggestion to the owners of the property - to fit a handrail in the shower area as the risk of slipping is always there when you are older

Over all was a very beautiful looking hotel and the staff were pretty friendly. Beautiful area and lovely large rooms and bathrooms. Decor inside the hotel was not really to my taste, could do with a makeover. Shower in room 37 was very poor pressure. Would be nice to have bigger cups for coffee and milk available.

Great breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice.
We waited one hour 15 minutes from sitting down to receiving our meal. There was no bread offered which we find unusual for restaurants in France.
The card machine was not working and we were asked to go to the ATM for cash which was inconvenient and added to the cost.
Otherwise the hotel was good.
The restaurant and service were amazing. The shower in the room leaked a little and the toilet seat needed fixing, but overall we were very happy (because the food was so good!).
Very nice hotel with its swimming pool very quiet too. Everything was perfect, the only criticism concerns the air conditioning in the room which did not blow very hard and not very cool either. We were very hot. As for the staff, they take great care of us.

We hebben hier een nacht geslapen tijdens een erg warme periode. Helaas werkte de airco in de slaapkamer niet. Er was een waterkokertje en er stonden twee bekers. Geen thee en geen koffie, dat was jammer. Bed, bad, douche, toilet prima en schoon.
Eten 's avonds in het restaurant was van goede kwaliteit. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en bekwaam. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid, met verschillende soorten brood, croissants, cakes, yoghurt, fruit, verse wafels, goede koffie, thee.

L'établissement se situe dans un village paisible proche de Troyes et du Parc naturel régional de la Forêt d'Orient. Parfait pour des visites vers ces deux destinations. Le village ainsi que l'établissement lui-même est composé de nombreux colombages, très pittoresque. L'ensemble est confortable avec piscine et sauna à disposition. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est excellent ! L'accueil est doux et aimable.
The place was dirty and our room smelt of strong fumes that made us sick , the receptionists were un helpful ,we did not stay as was not safe for our baby.the pictures are not accurate to how the place looks now.
Room was situated in a building across the street, remote from the restaurant and breakfast area.
Bathroom was small and old with worm furniture and when you showered the WC was completely wet. The mattress was of bad quality.
At a rate of 108€ per night you can find much better.

The master bedroom for 4 people is located along the busy road. It is therefore impossible to leave the windows open and the room does not have air conditioning. The Epeda bedding is of poor quality. If one person moves it wakes up their neighbor... And the pillows are very bad. Electrical outlets functional for some only if the main light is on. No shower curtain in the bathroom. First price kettle with water splashing everywhere... Swimming pool on the other side of the street and room, full of leaves...
Spacious room and very satisfactory catering. However, the rooms are aging and the street is noisy despite the double glazing, so Air conditioning or noise. Otherwise charm and nice people I will come back.
Very poor value for money. Very old-fashioned hotel with outdated and gloomy decoration. Uncomfortable bedding. The website shows a nice swimming pool + deckchairs... we looked for said swimming pool (it is not in the hotel) and everything was in a deplorable state. Breakfast just ok (but fresh orange juice). Establishment with great potential (beautiful old buildings) but which requires renovation (90s decor to be modernized). Friendly service but very disorganized and particularly slow in the restaurant. Fortunately the quality of the bedding and the copious, homemade breakfast make it all better. Appreciable and free facilities: sauna and swimming pool, however cross the street to access the swimming pool... to review...
Good address, however an accompaniment with meat is desirable: with 1 slice of carrot and 3 of zucchini, it remains on its end.
Basic hotel with a good restaurant and nice pool area about 150m from the main hotel.
The rooms are functional. Good shower, air con. They kinfly put me on the ground floor as I had a boot and crutches due to a bust ankle. Beds too soft for me! Unfortunately there was heavy rain and we had a ceiling leak but I'm sure that doesn't normally happen. They gave us our breakfasts free to compensate, without being asked.
Piney is full of timbered buildings and the hotel is right opposite an ancient hall or barn and is itself half old buildings.
The restaurant is good food although the service is slow in the evening.
Very good establishment, note that the photos do not necessarily correspond to the room when you book on the Logis website which is misleading and I therefore had to take another more expensive room. The pool is not heated and was dirty when we arrived.

Situated in the centre of a lovely village. Staff were all friendly an helpful. Good size room with a kettle which is unusual in France.
The rooms are large, the configuration of the hotel with the interior courtyard made it possible to store our bikes there. In our room the bedding was not great and the ventilation was a little noisy, but overall it was very good. Breakfast is very good, special mention for the juicer! 8km from the beaches of Géraudot, the location is ideal.

We loved our short stay at the Tadorne in Piney. We had a very friendly reception and really enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. The ambience of the hotel was friendly warm and comfortable. The only negative was a tricky entrance from the stairway to our room which would have been difficult with heavy luggage or for someone with infirmity. But the building is 18th century and we only stayed overnight. Our room was very comfortable with huge beds !
