Hello, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was very unsatisfactory. • Room and cleanliness: The room was not cleaned. The bathroom was dirty and unusable. The sink was dirty, and essential toiletries were missing. • Food: The meals were insufficient and of poor quality. • Spa and facilities: The spa was inaccessible/not working. • Other issues: The ventilation window did not work at all. I filmed and photographed all of these problems. I hope these comments will be taken into consideration to improve the quality of your service. Thank you for your attention.
A top-notch establishment, fortunately we didn't take into account the very negative reviews we read before our stay; we took the risk of ignoring them, and it was a good thing we did because we were able to see the complete opposite. A hotel to recommend without any reservations.
The interior maintenance is disappointing. The breakfast room is uninviting, and the staff seemed uninterested.
Decent spa set, very nice, small downside for the bed which creaks as soon as you sit on it or move. Decent bathroom and clean room
Nice hotel, only comment is that it needs some maintenance on a few places.
It doesn't look like the floor has been mopped. Lots of dust. Toilets aren't clean.

I had booked a room at this hotel from August 22nd to 24th (2 nights). Unfortunately, due to a breakdown of my vehicle on the highway, I was unable to get to La Rochelle. I was not reimbursed for anything despite the assurances of the hotel, which I contacted immediately. I therefore cannot recommend an establishment with such poor business sense.

We didn't sleep a wink of sleep because the networks vibrated every 2 minutes. The night staff, after our first call to report the problem, didn't respond to subsequent calls or text messages. Only the receptionist tried to understand the situation the next morning.

Hôtel was excellently located and the staff were friendly and breakfast was great with lots of choice. Decor was very dated but didn’t matter too much as the property was clean. The pool rails needed a clean and maybe could have done with a bar but apart from that we had a great stay!

Beautiful hotel, nice location facing the sea. Great pool, especially for family stays. However, the facilities, rooms, and hallways are aging, including the pool. Full breakfast, plenty of choice, fresh produce.

Very uncomfortable bedding, I spent two nights sleeping very badly (mattress + cushions), poorly insulated rooms, traces of mold in the bathroom, there was a piece of camping bracelet on the floor in the room. As for the swimming pool, very cold water, only 5 or 6 deckchairs for the whole hotel, a parasol that is half standing and threatens to fall on us with every gust of wind. Great hotel. Very well located near the center of La Rochelle. Too bad the spa was being renovated. Small downside about the breakfast room: too small and the armchairs are too bulky.

Very nice welcome upon arrival but average upon departure. Rushed departure at 11:45 a.m. following the demands of the receptionist who had gone up to our room to ask for the keys while we were getting ready. Bath towels changed following our request, otherwise this was not the case. Other than that, good quality/price.

Good evening, The photos do not correspond at all to what I found on site. I learned upon arrival that you have to pay 10 euros per person for the indoor pool each day, while on booking it is offered with the room plus the gym equipment is aging and people from outside the hotel come to do sports at the same time as the hotel guests. Hotel needs to be renovated for the decor which is very very aging. Room ok but bathroom needs to be completely overhauled Location of the hotel perfect in relation to the city center.

The room was not clean and there was a charge for parking (€10 per night!!!) or street parking. Contrary to what BOOKING advertised. The hotel's free parking only has 5 spaces. So, of course, it was full when we arrived.

Great service. Very pleasant hotel by the sea, large room, impeccable bedding, customer needs are taken into account: bay window in the room for brightness opening onto a terrace, an individual fridge/bar for refreshments, the practical bathroom with a separate toilet, kettle and tea/coffee available, discreet and relaxed staff. You can access the spa and other services at a very affordable price. For the next time I will try the breakfast. It is a total change from the standardized services of most hotel chains. In addition It is a "local" hotel, you must take advantage of it. I highly recommend! Plus no problem parking for free!

Very close to the Stade Rochelle (15 min walk) and not far from the city center (5 min by car, 20 min walk) you can leave your car in the hotel parking lot with complete peace of mind

A nice hotel, albeit a bit aging, but very well maintained. A few small things could be improved: soundproofing, uncomfortable pillows, no shutters, just simple blackout curtains. These elements could help it to reach a 5-star rating.

Very pleasant, helpful and welcoming staff. On the other hand, the cleaning leaves something to be desired, it's not very clean, especially in the rooms. The bathrooms and toilets are not spotless at all. The sheets are the same... The kettle was in a terrible state. The breakfast is okay but light, not much choice. The room has a magnificent view and the environment is very quiet.

The room with the veranda-style projection in winter and during the heavy rain we experienced for 5 days is not welcome because there were infiltrations and the floor being carpeted it was not pleasant. In addition the clearly visible roller shutter is no longer usable and instead of simple curtains which obviously let in a lot of cold air. In summer the problem must be the opposite with the stifling heat if necessary. It would be good to remedy this. The continental breakfast at 12 euros is good but could be a little better with simple things to offer... For example only 2 types of tea were available, lemon and green tea and despite our request it remained like this throughout the 5-night stay

We stayed at the Hotel Le Rochelois for one night and we will not be returning. The reason: going down in the morning to pick up our dog's droppings, we did not find them and rightly so, they had been deliberately spread on our car door handle by the hotel's night porter. When we informed the receptionist, we received a smile, she even blamed the hotel guests! We still asked for a cleaning product which she gladly lent us. The papers used to clean our car were thrown in the hotel's internal trash can, our apologies to the cleaning staff who are paying the price for their colleague's lack of manners... What happened to us is unacceptable, the receptionist did not even apologize. Apart from this bad experience, the establishment is rather aging but the breakfast is decent for its price. Although it wasn't rated very well, we can confirm that this hotel is not worth staying in, even for one night.

We stayed here for one night. Overall, a highly recommended hotel. The room was generally clean (not the nooks and crannies). The staff was friendly and welcoming. Apparently, the heating in our bathroom was broken. It was freezing cold for a shower in the morning. We reported it when we left so that the necessary repairs could be made. The breakfast was good and varied.

very good value for money! good location only 30min walk from the city center. Nice view of the sea from our room, big favorite for the swimming pool, the hammam and the sauna! Small downside for the breakfast there was not much choice and not very well arranged, lack of space also on the parking lot! Apart from that everything was perfect!

We were supposed to be upgraded, but we weren't. Only two small pillows, no extra blanket, no hand towel. Bathtub not practical for elderly people.

The underground garage does not communicate with the hotel. You have to go back out (in the rain) to access the rooms. It is impossible to adjust the temperature and air conditioning in the room. There is only one person at reception. She cannot do everything. The bathtub is very high and difficult to access for people of a certain age. Good reception, I regret that the cleaning is not done properly, cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling and huge spider. Also, coffee cups in the room dirty, with lip marks, bathroom towel stained and yellowed. In addition, the TV did not work well all evening (cuts out). Noises of a device that turns on every 30 minutes outside the room. Too bad because the hotel, the location, the welcome and the staff are nice!

Very comfortable room, good bedding, separate toilet from the bathroom, sea view a little hidden by the trees on the 1st floor. Varied breakfast provided you don't arrive at the end of service, not restocked with cold meats. Indoor parking a little small, easier to park on the street with a large car, free zone of La Rochelle. Wi-Fi does not reach the end of the building where we were.

No maintenance in this hotel, wifi is broken, the hair dryer does not work and neither does the towel dryer. We stayed 3 nights, there was no cleaning done... no decoration... for a 3 star... it is far from deserving them

I chose this establishment for the swimming pool and I don't regret it, because my son really enjoyed it!!! Hotel well located, the bus stop for the city center is 300 meters away but we preferred to walk to be able to enjoy the pretty landscape and the sea.

Extremely disappointed, not at all in line with the booking notes and presentation. The quality/price ratio is abusive And in addition I had a professional setback where I had to cut my stay short, and not at all understanding on the subject. I stayed only one night in a place where in addition I did not feel well which will have cost me double the extremely high price!!

Pros: Breakfast is good and has everything you need. Cons: The pool could be a bit spruced up and have more deckchairs (currently only 7, so you can easily end up sitting on the ground). The pool was closed 2 mornings in a row for cleaning, which can quickly become problematic for people who booked a short stay. The room was cleaned to a fault. Toilet paper was not replaced during our stay. We had to go down to reception in the evening to get fresh towels and, to our surprise, one day there was NO cleaning lady. Cobwebs around the windows. The equipment was a bit old and could do with being updated. The night was a bit expensive for what it was.

Hotel a bit old and expensive .... we were with a 4 year old child, I was offered a room with a small sofa for the child except that there were no sheets or blankets ... too bad ... The hotel is noisy, we were treated to screams and bursts of laughter until late in the night ... difficult to rest in these conditions. The swimming pool is welcome but deserves a facelift ... The fridge and the water bottles 👍 Very pleasant staff, beautiful view of the bay! The weeds on the terrace ... people who pass in front of your room ... meh ...

Very disappointed with my stay, overheated room for a cool June month, it's surprising. Breakfast advertised with local products that I'm still looking for. Impossible to go to the hammam even though it's indicated as open and accessible on the website and in the hotel. Expensive for services and amenities. Only the fact of being by the ocean makes me give 2 instead of 1. I will not return and I will not recommend this hotel.
Nice and clean room, comfortable bedding. Hotel well located in a nice area with sea view and close to greenery. 3 minutes from the rugby stadium. Bathroom lacks a place to put your things and not enough pressure. The pool and spa are nice, it lacks a bit of decor, all the pipes are visible, the price of 10€ per person is a bit high. Parking is also available but good considering the lack of space outside. The reception is not very pretty and these windows are not worthy of a 3 star. The axis

Personnel très gentil. Lieu très propre. Notre petit chien était accepté pour une somme de 12 eurs. Petit déjeuner complet.
Endroit calme et accessible. La douche dans la chambre est agréable et spacieuse. En revanche, établissement vieillot (portes et fenêtres datant au mieux des années 90), petit déjeuner limite pour un 3 étoiles servi dans un réfectoire avec certes des produits bio mais aussi des viennoiseries de qualité moyenne.

I traveled for business, the hotel is nice and quit and I had two good nights. The crew is very helpful and friendly, breakfast was simpel but good and I loved the underground parking facility.

Le prix est beaucoup trop cher pour la qualité de cette hôtel.

Bonjour ,j ai réservé cet hôtel principalement pour le SPA, ham man et Sauna ,sauf que le jeudi ,tout ce petit monde était fermé pour cause d entretien .S il vous plait soyez transparent avec les jours de fermeture j aurais pu adapter d ‘autres dates lors de la réservation .
Par ailleurs il serait utile de préciser que c est payant soit 10 € par personne , pour le reste rien à dire tout est correcte .

The room was dirty, the air conditioning was broken, the ventilation system was clogged, and there were signs of dampness all over the bathroom. The bedside lamp on the right was out of order. The reception was deplorable. There was no explanation whatsoever about the so-called gym and indoor pool advertised on Booking.com. We were so disappointed, especially since the room wasn't cheap, not to mention the sea view was completely blocked by trees – so there was no sea view at all. False advertising!
