It was completely by chance that I booked two rooms at this hotel, and what a wonderful surprise! We're traveling from Belgium with a couple of friends and heading towards Spain. I was looking for a hotel in the Périgord region or nearby, about 750 km from home, and the description perfectly matched what I was hoping for. The location is ideal, just a few kilometers from the motorway, which makes stopping over very easy. The very appealing restaurant immediately caught our eye, and we weren't disappointed. The welcome was simply excellent, warm, and friendly, provided by a charming couple from northern France who had settled in this beautiful place. We felt at ease right away. The rooms are comfortable, quiet, and very well-equipped. The bathroom is magnificent, modern, and spotless. The restaurant offers high-quality "bistronomic" cuisine with a €29 set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) offering excellent value for money. The €12 breakfast was also impeccable, varied, and generous. In short, a wonderful discovery, an excellent and peaceful night's sleep… what more could you ask for? We will definitely be back!

We chose this hotel for its location for our first stay. But for future trips, we'll plan our itinerary around this Logis Hôtel du Bas Limousin. The food is delicious, made with excellent ingredients, and the staff is very friendly.

Stay August 2025. Very warm welcome, friendliness and smiles from all the staff, hoteliers concerned about our well-being. Large room in accordance with our wishes, very good bedding, balcony and very pretty view of the countryside. Quiet hotel and very well located, lots of sites to visit. Restaurant on the shaded terrace with unobstructed view of the countryside, quality of the homemade menus and served with a smile. We will come back with pleasure.

The rooms are incredibly noisy, being right next to a road where a truck passes every 30 minutes at over 90 km/h. You can imagine how it feels like sleeping in a truck stop. I mentioned this to the hotel manager, who laughed and replied that it was midnight and the traffic would ease up. My job is during the day; I need rest at night, so I could do without that kind of humor. Furthermore, the hotel manager had the nerve to point out to other guests that I was leaving a lot of room.

Very nice hotel. Green setting with a very nice swimming pool. Very very good food. The only downside is the high temperatures!!! The rooms lack air conditioning.

The fact that we have been coming to this hotel for some 10/15 years says it all!
However, we were disappointed with the meal, only one menu ( plus a very short carte) the menu only had two choices….. we have had some fabulous meals here in the past!
