Nice stopover
Despite not having the room that we asked for back in June, the hotel didn’t disappoint. It is in a beautiful setting, we sat in the garden before dinner and it was so relaxing. Especially love the old labrador that has been there for years
Cannot fault the staff, always lovely.
One really great thing is that the aircon is on, even if it is September! And you have access to a fridge to keep drinks cold. I will continue to use this lovely hotel. Missed the black hen! Found the starters a bit dry. But all in all a lovely overnight stop.
No business sense. Following an error in the reservation date, I was charged full price for the room without the possibility of any commercial gesture despite a reservation for 4 days later.

You have to dare, make a mistake in your reservation and dare to ask the hotelier for a commercial gesture to correct the mistake you made! Yes, we only have 15 rooms, when we refuse several rooms for the same day, the loss of turnover is significant at our level, we are a small structure and the slightest error is important.
We remind you that there are no reservations made within the next 4 days!

We often stop at this Logis, which we really appreciate. Location, welcome, comfort, good restaurant. A small problem with a broken switch, they fixed it with a smile! We will definitely be back!

Hotel located on the outskirts of town, quiet and surrounded by greenery. Ample free private parking. Friendly welcome. Clean room, but with outdated decor. Good dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Very warm welcome at the hotel reception. The room is simple but nothing is missing. Impeccably clean. As for the restaurant, dinner on the terrace was very pleasant. Well thought-out menu and homemade dishes. Varied breakfast. The staff is discreet but very friendly.

Very pleasant welcome, full of kindness, very quiet hotel, well-equipped air-conditioned superior double room, I used 1 of the 2 charging stations for electric vehicles in the hotel parking lot, we had dinner in the very pleasant and air-conditioned dining room on these very hot days, an excellent fish meal, attentive waiters! The next morning we had breakfast on the outdoor terrace under the shade of a large chestnut tree, absolute well-being!

The young lady at the reception was very pleasant. The young people at the service were very helpful and attentive, which felt good after a long day. The night was very good, not a sound, totally fantastic. Thank you very much. I will come back again if I have the opportunity.
Arrived shortly before 9 p.m. Food: I was only able to enjoy cold dishes (like salads) and desserts. I appreciated being able to eat given the late hour. The food was good, but I could see on my plate that it was bothering the kitchen staff. For the tomato/burrata salad: a basil leaf cut into strips, no more, olive oil in a more than negligible quantity, lots of tomatoes (cool), burrata tasted good. Note: I was charged a menu even though I only ate a salad and a dessert. I did well to check. Hotel: Clean bedding, decent sleeping arrangements, clean bathroom, but the hotel was old and poorly soundproofed. The bathroom paint had been redone, but very badly: drips on the floor and on the wall tiles. Traces of squashed insects on the walls of the room! This does not reflect well on the managers/owners. Departure: I had to leave early, which is why I paid my bill the evening of my arrival. There was no place to leave the room key the morning of my departure (no mailbox). I had warned the receptionist, to whom I told them that I did not want breakfast since it was served from 8 a.m. (reception opening time as well, it seems). A public holiday does not allow for being demanding, but still, being able to leave a key would be appreciated. Disappointed.
Thank you Dominique for your comment. Indeed, the restaurant welcomes you from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., so if you arrive a little before 9 p.m., we offered you cold dishes, such as salads. So, we are doing you a favor so as not to leave you hungry and there you go, you thank us with a nice comment kindly left online. Note that we work with men and women and not robots who can work for hours without getting tired and who do not have a family life unlike humans.
And yes, on a public holiday, just like on weekends, we dare to start breakfast only at 8 a.m. We offer to prepare a breakfast tray for you to take to your room. If you leave early, the room key remains in your room.
Unfortunately, this type of behavior pushes us to no longer deviate from our reception conditions.

Easily accessible just off the A20 motorway, the Priory is located in a quiet, green setting, perfect for a change of scenery and a pleasant stay, enjoying the outdoor lounges. The hotel offers excellent quality dining featuring local produce.

Too bad, because this hotel has received an exterior refresh, and very pleasant, but at the level of the room which had very good bedding, but for the rest we went back 40 years with the whole in very very bad condition, and to top it all off, a customer accidentally triggered the fire alarm after midnight and no one from the management came to see on site!!, for the restaurant, very mediocre, and the breakfast with dogs wandering between the tables while shaking. In the end, this is a shame because the hotel is very well located with staff who received us very well.

Indeed, the hotel has received a facade refresh but not only that ... it is thermal insulation done from the outside, because as you can see the building dates from the 60s - 70s. When we arrived in 2009, we started by refreshing the rooms which had wall-to-wall carpeting ... so yes, over several years, we tried to renovate the hotel and yes it takes time and requires money, a lot of money.
Regarding our very mediocre restaurant, we are sorry that you did not appreciate our cuisine made from fresh, local produce.
And yes, we are an establishment that welcomes dogs, very often they are part of the families.

Thank you, Alain, for your comment. The hotel is approaching its 60th anniversary, and we regularly carry out renovation work. This year, it was the roof and thermal insulation, and next year, a room makeover. We alternate between building maintenance and decorating.

It is an OK hotel, considering the price. While we were there, some works on the outside were done. In the morning the man who worked on our bathroom window, could look intonthe bathroom, no curtain there, it was akward. The new raining shower is too big, if you use it, the whole bathroom gets wet. And a dog in the breakfast room is not a good thing, there were hairs on the floor... over all it's an ok hotel for 1 or 2 nights. The restaurent is OK.
Second time here. Staff are welcoming, room is large and well equipped with air-conditioning.
Dinner was fabulous again, and the staff are so polite and helpful. Dispite on going building work and missing the outside terrace of the room it was still a lovely stop over.

Old and dirty room, sold 100/110 euros per night without breakfast, called "superior double room" The value for money is not there at all. Seeing the 200 reviews for an average of 9/10 I was confident, I must admit I was shocked. However, I am not used to 4 and 5 stars, I generally stay in b&bs and 3 stars, whose price varies between 60 and 100 euros per night. Small room (in a region where the price per m2 is not Parisian, we could have expected bigger). The bathroom is huge compared to the room. The door to the room is 1m from the bed and opens directly onto the corridor with a gap under the door. Needless to say, the soundproofing is non-existent. You will hear every step on the stairs of your neighbors, the curtains being drawn, toilets flushed and other showers. Better to have good earplugs, the slightest movement in the hallway will be heard The bed is comfortable, firm, and the pillows are comfortable too No electrical outlet at the head of the bed, no centralized lights off when you leave the room No elevator (1st floor, not a subject for us but hey you have to know) A bathtub! But no shower. What hotel does not have a shower (not even necessarily Italian, although given the price we could have expected it). On the other hand, mea culpa, the bathtub is visible in the photos of the hotel. If you put a bathtub it is only because there is already a shower in the bathroom. No one showers standing up in a bathtub anymore, that was the case with our grandparents, in another era. There is a hair dryer! It is not systematic so it deserves to be emphasized. Why put it in the room next to the TV? In the bathroom next to the mirror would it not have been better placed? Last ecological point. Announcement in the shared toilets of their desire to save water. But on the other hand, in the room, a message to explain that the water heater is in the reception building and therefore that to have hot water, you have to let it run for several minutes. It's a bit contradictory..... Clearly this hotel deserves a good renovation and an upgrade of its equipment and comfort to claim a night at 100/110 euros. Today it is worth 70 maximum, the quality/price ratio is not there

A very pleasant stopover from all points of view!
Very poor. Leaking air conditioning unit in room reported to owner, when told it will be very hot in the room his response was “comme ci comme ca”. One of the junior members of staff recognised the problem and changed our room later that evening. The owner then charged us the higher rate for the room we were moved to!
Dog poo on the grass by outdoor seating/restaurant tables and children’s play area - none of it was removed during our stay.
Food and wine in the restaurant was below average; nothing like the high standard provided by other Logis we have stayed at over many years. High proportion of the items on the “set menu” had additional supplements which were expensive, especially given the below average quality of the food.
Inattentive and bone-idle owners sit around smoking and drinking in full view of guests all evening. On one evening we came back to find the entire main building in darkness and locked - we could still access our room, but guests checking in later were left unable to do so and rightly angry.

We would have liked to have eaten in the restaurant on our evening stay over but when we were invited to sit down in the restaurant the body odour from the waiter was overwhelming, and we didn't want to be served by him in this situation. So unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the Prieure restaurant on this occasion. Very disappointed.

Le Prieuré has become our usual and essential stopover between Yvelines and the Dordogne. While being close to the motorway (exit 17), calm is guaranteed, a warm welcome, an impeccable room, and a perfect breakfast. The restaurant deserves a special mention, particularly the Berry specialties.
