We were greeted by a very friendly and efficient member of staff.
Our room was clean and functional. We had a powerful shower but the hairdryer overheated quickly and turned itself off regularly.
There was plenty of on site parking and lifts from the car park to our rooms.
All the staff we met were very friendly.
Our evening meal was okay, they were very busy and service was slow as a result but that wasn’t a problem for us as I hate feeling rushed.
Breakfast was what you would expect for a continental breakfast and the staff helpful.
The town was a great bonus.

Arrival at 9:00 p.m. (I had warned!!!!) I ask if I can have dinner........ I am told OK but RIGHT AWAY!! During dinner 2 young waitresses talk VERY LOUD about their projects and other subjects. During breakfast the waitress (very nice but still) welcomes EACH person by "yelling from one corner of the room to the other" inviting them to help themselves. I find that for a hotel that aims to be of high standard....... and at this price, customers are entitled to more calm and more discreet staff. This is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel and I had already noticed the "problem"!
Very good welcome and service. We ate there at the restaurant. The dishes are good and well presented. Just a small downside, the rations can be a little tight if you arrive by bike with "your stomach deep in your heels"...

A pleasant evening stopover, private parking, good dinner and good breakfast with a smile in the morning and it feels good! The bedding and comfort of the room are there. The small note of disappointment (for me) is the lack of smiles and exchanges at dinner time, after a good day of work it is so nice this little extra to give to the customer and it costs nothing!

View the hotel's answerThe room was clean, but dingy and the toilette smelled. It was called a ‘superior’ room, so I can’t imagine what a standard’ room is like! The dinner in the Glycine (Wisteria) restaurant was ok, but they completely forgot our starter and arrived with the main course first. Sylvie came up to check this with us, and snatched up the paper order from our table and walked off. After checking that we were telling the truth she came back and said sorry, we appeared to be correct. But she clearly wasn’t very sorry at all, and certainly didn’t offer any redress of the situation. The breakfast was good, but the whole visit was very disappointing compared to other Logis Hotels and restaurants we have visited earlier this week, which have been fabulous- accommodation and food.
Nice hotel.Warm welcome and car parked up very easily. Room was a nice size and quiet enough in relation to external noise. Air con was a little noisy and the room tray was void of milk and a single tea-bag for two people. The 9.30 breakfast should be extended to 10.00 on every day and it took a while for staff to replenish items and coffee. We would happily return!

With the exception of local cheese and organic bread, no other product is organic and/or local (industrial foods, even Vendée brioche, class 3 eggs!, etc.).

Air-con wasn’t working and it was a boiling hot day. No window either.
Too bad the hotel does not open before 5 p.m. on Sunday….we chose this hotel as a stopover on the way back from vacation….arrival in Fontenay-le Comte around 2 p.m.….the wait was long….then very few restaurants open in the evening, re galley !! Fortunately the room was fine and air-conditioned. A criticism, a rather impersonal welcome. And an extra €7 for our whippet. Then 7€ extra for our whippet.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. Great friendliness of the staff. Very helpful staff. Very clean and very quiet hotel although located in the center of Fontenay le Comte. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, nothing to say, it was excellent. We keep this address very preciously. This hotel fully deserves to be Logis de France. We recommend it without any hesitation!

Second long stay at Fontarabie this year. The welcome is always perfect, the staff taking great care of the customers. The rooms are very clean, pleasantly decorated and well soundproofed. The breakfast is complete and serene. Indoor parking is very convenient.
The managers of the hotel are adorable, unfortunately their employee at the reception and very disrespectful, lack of knowledge. This is my 2nd stay and it's the same feeling.
