2 satisfied overnight stays, quiet and clean hotel, welcoming staff
La Vraine is a simple hotel in a small, typically French village; it also serves as the local café, lottery ticket office, and meeting point for locals, giving it a cozy, local atmosphere. Everything is very neat and clean; the room wasn't large but fully met our needs, and the bedding was spotless. The carpet in the room is a minor hygiene issue, but that could easily be addressed in the future. The room has a ceiling fan but no air conditioning (possibly very warm in the room in summer?). There is central heating in both the room and bathroom. The toilet is separate. The bathroom is spacious and comfortable, but the shower is small. Everything was very clean. No street noise (good insulation). It's a shame the Wi-Fi connection wasn't working. Breakfast is served at the table in the café area; it's somewhat limited and typically French, but honest products and excellent value. Dinner was in the restaurant: a nice space, a wide selection on the menu, and good quality! Large portions. Very friendly staff in both the hotel, restaurant, and café! Good overall price-quality ratio.
We stranded in the hotel after our car broke down. The gites are beautiful, spacious and extremely clean.
We still got dinner at 21h, and even a lift back to the garage the day after.

Very, very welcoming owners!
I was very surprised by this hotel. Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by a friendly welcome. The staff went above and beyond, even speaking English. Although the room wasn't very large, it did have a shower and separate toilet. Very comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant has an excellent menu and the food is good. All in all, very satisfied with this hotel, especially as a stopover.
We stayed overnight at the Logis Hotel La Vraine, and it was a disaster! First of all, the restaurant closed at 9:00 PM upon arrival, even though the booking platform stated it was open until 11:00 PM. For a hot meal, we had to go to McDonald's 20 minutes away. Our room smelled strongly of something strange. After 11:00 PM, the staff had gone home, and we noticed that the mattress was covered in urine and blood stains. The smell was clearly urine. We stayed in the room with the windows fully open and didn't sleep. The smell was unbearable! Besides the mattress, the sheet we were sleeping on was also stained, the sealant in the shower was completely covered in mold, and the hairdryer was duct taped shut. I took photos of everything. At 7:00 AM, the staff returned, and we immediately checked out and filed the complaint. I had already sent a complaint to the hotel through the booking platform that night, but the gentleman said he hadn't read it. I showed them the photos and explained my complaints. The gentleman said he was aware of the stench and that the hotel was in discussions with another family who had left the room as it was. I couldn't believe what I was hearing!! We were deliberately left in this filthy room! My wife, child, and I had to spend the night in a room with a urine smell on a mattress that had died some 40 years ago. Again, I have photos; you won't believe what you see. The photos the hotel shows on the booking platform aren't realistic either; they look much nicer than they actually are. We ended our vacation in such a terrible and unpleasant way; we even considered driving home. But that was irresponsible. The hotel couldn't do anything for us, since we'd booked through Booking.com.
Lovely stay at our travels to the south
Very friendly welcome from everyone, comfortable bed (phew for once, a hotel without a too hard mattress and several pillows) and clean. On the other hand, my sister had a room whose bathroom gave off a horrible smell of sewage, shame.

Welcoming hotel in the heart of the Vosges countryside. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made settling in much easier. It's not a 4-star hotel, but everything was good (comfort, bedding, bathrooms, food) and offered a satisfactory price-quality ratio. The breakfast was generous and varied. I highly recommend this accommodation.

A warm welcome and a very decent room, as was the dinner. The only downside is that you are asked what type of breakfast you want, and in the morning, after a wait, even being pushed in front, I was brought the other breakfast than the one I requested, which was however corrected after my request.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel on our way back from our vacation. Everything was great: the welcome, the room, the food, and the breakfast. And everything was very clean!

Lekker gegeten in het restaurant; ontbijt (wij hadden ‘complet’) was prima voor een heel fijne prijs.
230 euro voor deze overnachting is buiten alle proporties. Kamer is wel mooi en groot.
Voor 230 euro slaap je ook in een heeeeeeel mooi kasteel.

Fijn hotel voor tussenstop op reis naar zuid of noord
Het was een aangename verrassing, hotel restaurant maar ook een horeca gelegenheid voor de plaatselijke bevolking. Tevens een Tabakshop en loterij.
Hotelkamer was een woning aan de overkant en zeer schoon.
Restaurant was redelijk en vriendelijk personeel, ontbijt was lekker en alles vers.
Wij komen hier zeker terug.
Prettige en vriendelijke ontvangst , keuken ging om 18:30 open zei de receptionist, toen wij naar het rest. Wilden gaan bleek dit echter om 19:00 te zijn, maar we konden gaan zitten en de bestelling werd meteen opgenomen… heerlijk gegeten , compliment aan de kok, informeel hotel . Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.. zeker als ( door) reis hotel aanbevelings waardig circa 7 minuten van de snelweg
