Friendly and smiling. There could be more power outlets in the room, and a splash guard for the shower.

We stayed overnight at this beautifully situated hotel with a restaurant while passing through. We were treated very kindly and had a very good meal. Apart from the mattresses, which were very worn out, we have no complaints. It would therefore be easy to improve the reviews by replacing the mattresses.

Pleasant setting on the banks of the Saône, it's a shame that the Wi-Fi connection was poor and the evening was average. The room could do with some updating in terms of amenities.

The exterior of the hotel is neglected, no garden, the small individual terraces are a little sad, but the walk along the river is pleasant. On the other hand, the restaurant is very well appointed and I ate well in the evening.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was very good. The rooms , though dated were very clean, and the beds comfortably, perfect for one night. This does not pretend to be a 4, but it is an honest 2 star right on the river, with horses in the field, we had plenty to look at.

Very bright, functional room, well equipped and small terrace overlooking the Saône. Impeccable bedding, I slept 9 hours which is rare! The restaurant was also a great day of discovery: very well prepared fresh products. I highly recommend!😊😊🙏

Apart from the bathroom which is not very practical (shower in bathtub, without curtain... not easy to wash without flooding. And I dare not imagine for elderly people or those with reduced mobility)... simple but comfortable rooms. Really very friendly staff!

The restaurant alone is enough to justify a stay at this hotel.

It was dusty, especially if you ran your finger along the TV's edge. It wasn't entirely clean, and the hotel grounds were overgrown with weeds. We didn't report it because explaining things in another language isn't our forte.

Centrally located for a trip to the south. Friendly staff, good food, what more could you want?

A great overnight stop in a lovely location

The building housing the restaurant and reception is very beautiful, as is the outdoor terrace. The hotel rooms are disappointing.

It is urgent that our hotel friends invest in renovating the bathrooms and windows. The blackened joints of the bathtubs, the lack of shower curtain and therefore the flooding of the bathroom, the decades-old tiles, the yellowed toilet flush handle, and the repetitive noise of night trains due to lack of soundproofing.... La Vieille Ferme deserves better! We will have to take advantage of this to install air conditioning, unfortunately essential with the increasingly frequent heat waves. Finally, the Wi-Fi, although promised as free in the rooms, does not work well and when it does work, the speed is almost zero. Disappointing response when I pointed this out. Restaurant: overwhelmed team and long waits for the order.

Quiet location near the Saône and close to Macon. The staff is serious and kind. Congratulations to the chef for the Saturday evening meal, menu at 41 euros, very good dishes. The waiters are very pleasant and the breakfast staff is also. I recommend this place. If you are looking for work, the setting is ideal!!!

Access to the hotel is relatively easy, and the garden setting, located on the banks of the Saône, could be pleasant... if it weren't spoiled by the noise from the nearby road and railway line. We had booked a double room with a garden view. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. The room needs serious updating, as do the exterior of the buildings and the surrounding area, where dead leaves and unkempt vegetation give an impression of abandonment. The bathroom particularly disappointed us: the tile joints are blackened, and cleaning is clearly inadequate (cobwebs, dust, dirt behind the toilet, yellowed flush button). There is no shower curtain, which means water spills everywhere, and no safety bar to get out of the bathtub. The wet floor is very slippery, which is dangerous. In addition, you shower in front of a window that is opaque, but which does not guarantee complete privacy once the light is on. The bedroom area was a little cleaner, but the window sills and the French window were covered in dust and dirt; the general maintenance leaves something to be desired. I didn't even dare look under the bed. Due to the immediate proximity to the road and the railway, it is difficult to get a peaceful night's sleep. We were unable to try the pool due to the bad weather, so no opinion on that. In all honesty, we wonder about the Logis Hôtels classification system. This establishment clearly does not deserve its two stars in its current state.

The welcome was good, but a bit rushed after a long journey. The restaurant menu was a bit too limited, but the food was good. The room was a bit dated but very clean, a marked contrast to the restaurant's style and the outdoor ambiance.

The accommodation was unsatisfactory in the following ways:
• There were many insects both, alive and dead, on the pillows, sheets and windows in the two bedrooms
• There were cobwebs throughout all the rooms
• There were hundreds of insects flying around the porch and toilet
• The power cut out multiple times for about 5 seconds in the middle of the night which woke us up as the fans turned off and on.
• There was a brown mark on one of the bathroom towels
• There was a screw sticking up from the floor in the door frame between the two rooms which I hurt my foot on

A slightly cool welcome (at around 6 p.m.) from the owner who was having dinner... seeing that we had come for a reserved room, he softened a little... Very quick service at dinner (perhaps we could recommend that the waitress be a little less noisy...) Impeccable room overlooking the Saône, absolute tranquility...

Excellent for a stopover. Great breakfast, pool and restaurant too. The setting with some animals (roosters, horses, fish) is perfect for children.

Beautiful place and very beautiful surroundings. Landscape, panoramic view... .Relatively comfortable and quiet (apart from the railway line a little close by which is surprising at first). Pleasant welcome. Negative point: the establishment deserves a serious refresh and suffers from a general lack of maintenance in its structures.

The rooms are aging and could do with a bit of updating, especially with air conditioning, given the heatwaves. The welcome and staff were quite pleasant, and the pool is a plus.

Ideal location on the banks of the Saône between Mâcon and Tournus, adjacent to the blue route. Good value for money.

Stop in Sancé for our stay in the Verdon.....very pleasant evening. Very good dinner. Really great welcome, and clean and comfortable room.

Nice hotel about 5km from the centre if Macon in a lovely position next to the river. Food was excellent and probably only negative is the bathrooms are the traditional "old" style and could do with an update.
We stayed in the original building but which was pretty. I think there also is a newer block that has been built which did not look as nice but probably more modern inside

The rooms weren't particularly high-end or nice, but they were clean. The restaurant, staff, and surroundings were very good, and the hotel has a great charm.

A perfect stopover when travelling through France. It is a beautiful location on the outskirts of Macon and situated next to tge beautiful river Saone.

Very reasonable price! Great value for money. Hotel well located for a stopover: close to the highway. Ample parking. Pleasant room, small balcony with bucolic view. Fan in the room. Decent bedding. Old-fashioned but functional bathroom. Everything is very clean. The train passes nearby, but we slept with the windows closed and didn't hear a thing 😊. Great restaurant too.

Positive: Good location, close to the highway on a river. Large room with a beautiful view of the river. The restaurant is nice and cozy. Negative: The room seems very dated; the furniture is old and worn, and the beds are uncomfortable. There is no air conditioning. The bathroom, while large, is in dire need of renovation. The entire hotel complex (including the pool) appears very neglected. We ate in the restaurant in the evening. The food was inedible. I have never eaten such a bad steak in my entire life. Breakfast was okay, but could be improved. The service staff, while friendly, are uninterested in customer satisfaction. We were never asked if everything was okay, either in the restaurant or at check-out. In conclusion: this hotel's price-performance ratio is completely unacceptable. It's incomprehensible how this hotel can survive at these prices. It's a shame, really; the good location and the beautiful main building, which houses the restaurant and reception, actually create a good environment.

Loved the location of the facility!
We chose this facility because dogs were allowed to join and that's always fantastic if you take you dogs with you on holidays.
We could even reserve for diner in the accompanying restaurant WITH our dogs. (we didn't, but nevertheless...it was possible)
The staff was super friendly and the breakfast room was nice, quiet and cosy. The breakfast buffet had enough choice and the bread was crispy and fresh

Everything was ok, but we have two dogs. With them, the room is not big enough. There is not enough place for two people and two dogs. But without dogs, it would be absolutely ok!

I have stayed at this hotel before and I am very happy with it. The accommodation was very good. The food was also very good.

Good location on the Rhône, ample parking, and a very good restaurant. The rooms were clean, but the beds were old, and the bathroom and terrace were very dated.

The dinner was excellent and the service great. But breakfeast was for a vegetarian somewhat meagre, and the rooms are basic. For cyclists: the hotel lies along the voie blue but this is not clear on the map.

Lack of exterior maintenance

We've been here several times (twice last year) and we're always very satisfied. We particularly appreciate the setting.

The staff were friendly and the service in the restaurant was good. The old building was full of character but the outside area was uncared for and in need of attention. It appeared run down and not in line with the photographs on the website. The bathroom was a concern as the floor was very slippery when wet and being old it was not easy to get into the bath and utilise the shower . A non slip mat inside the bath would have helped.
We had quite a nice evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfast was good.

Die Zimmer sind optisch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, allerdings hat man bei der Matratze nicht gespart, wir haben himmlisch geschlafen. Die Umgebung lädt zum Verweilen ein, das Abendessen und der Service waren exzellent. Auch das Frühstück war in Ordnung, hier fanden wir den Preis etwas zu hoch angesetzt. Vielleicht könnte man einen Preis für Paare und Familien etwas anpassen? Wir waren zum 2.mal hier und kommen gern wieder!

Informé des réservations,,donc des arrivées, les chambres que vous allez utilisés devraient pour le moins être bien propes y compris les terrasses que les usagers utilisent, ĺâ, ça laisse fortement à améliorer, toiles,d'arraignées, rails coulissant,vers l'extérieur remplis de détritus. C'est la vieille ferme certes, mais toutes les mauvaises herbes partout sur le chemin d'arrivée les toiles d'araignées sur les vitres de la véranda, c'est inadmissible !

Another very pleasant stay, especially with the view of the Saône. Perhaps surprisingly, I noticed that "ecological responsibility" was used to remove room service, without any indication in the hotel description or when booking.

Beautiful location along the Saône and the blue route that we cycled up. Simple but comfortable rooms in a building that could use some renovation. The restaurant and bar have a magnificent terrace with well-prepared local cuisine from starter to dessert.

A great stay

Excellent stay! Charming staff, comfortable room, and perfect restaurant. Only downside: no shower, and the bathtub shower head doesn't have a wall mount or shower curtain.

It was a pity there was not a fixed shower in the bathroom as this meant someone with a disability could not shower.

We stayed one night. The place is very quiet and pretty. The breakfast is simple but everything is there. One small note: it lacks a shower curtain or plexiglass.

Overnight stay. Spacious room, well heated but without any charm. Spartan bathroom. Poor quality bedding. Reception and restaurant where you have to climb about ten steps. Very good evening meal. Decent breakfast. Animals: roosters, sheep, horses. Nice for children!!

Charming hotel, friendly welcome, excellent restaurant, a recommended stopover, choose a room on the banks of the Saône, wake up to the crowing of the rooster. A change of scenery guaranteed.

+ Former country estate with rustic charm. Very friendly staff, effective heating in winter, including extra heating in the bathroom, very good evening meal, good breakfast; only eggs are missing. First-class location on the A7 for north-south transit. Esso petrol station also open on Sundays, 3 km away. Large free parking lot on its own premises. - Door locks take some getting used to. Each room has a door that is also the front door. Locking it is very tricky; if you only think you're doing it right and rely on it, the wind will burst open the door with a loud bang at night; it's a huge shock! This applies especially to room 5.

Hotel and restaurant to recommend! Why did you choose this hotel? For its location in relation to our route and its proximity to the motorway at the start, but we now stay there several times a year for the friendliness and professionalism of the owners and staff, the quality of the meals offered in the restaurant and the excellent quality/price ratio.

Not great on the negative side: light permanently on in front of the room and visible from around the door, so it was impossible to be in total darkness to sleep, the cushions were too big, one of the beds was hollowed out in the middle, the hair dryer did not stay on by itself, the decor in the room was non-existent or from the 80s, lots of waste accumulated in a room near our room, the breakfast was seriously lacking in choice for the price. On the positive side: the restaurant was enjoyable and the decor in the breakfast room was nice.

Very nice accommodation on the banks of the Saône

Very pleasant setting, very correct welcome, good food. But the room (no. 5) was freezing, despite the heating being operational (perhaps it was not turned on early enough and strong enough?). Given the poor insulation of the premises, it would be wise, as a first step, to replace the radiator. The current radiator blows hot air, with a totally inefficient output in this room, and has no mass. Comparatively, it was quite warm in the bathroom because the radiator is of a different type.
