Excellent service, I highly recommend it!
I arrived at 7:30 PM in the middle of a January night. I was driving at a snail's pace, but I didn't see the hotel because its facade wasn't lit. I had to retrace my steps on foot to make anything out. My room, number 101, was on the first floor, with no elevator and no help with luggage. The door creaked terribly. The room, while unremarkable in appearance, was large, but its space was poorly utilized. The desk was also large and well-lit. However, there was nowhere to put my suitcase, and instead of a bedside table, there was only a small shelf attached to the wall on one side of the bed, even though the bed was supposed to be for two people. The two electrical outlets in the room were very poorly placed. There wasn't one near the desk or the headboard. The only trash can was in the bathroom. A plus was the toilet being completely separate from the bathroom. The Wi-Fi connection was also a plus. When I woke up at 7:30 this morning, I was unpleasantly surprised to find the bathroom water remained cold, even after leaving it running for a long time. I had to wash my face with cold water. On the other hand, I was satisfied with dinner at the restaurant, and the breakfast buffet had everything I needed, both sweet and savory, and even Earl Grey tea. The rustic decor of the dining room was tasteful.

Spacious room. Comfortable bedding. Rustic charm decor in an old building. Very good breakfast. Very pleasant welcome and service. The only downside is the carpet in the room, which is not suitable for people with allergies.

The room was visually appealing, except for the bed which creaked with every movement, and the slats were quite uncomfortable to sleep on. In my opinion, the bathroom and toilet should be modernized to match the room; the contrast between the two is too stark. There's no hook for the shower head, so you have to hold it. This makes washing your hair inconvenient. The toilet would also benefit from a spray nozzle or something similar. The cleaning wasn't done properly: hair was stuck, there was limescale on the faucets, and the area under the bed hadn't been vacuumed. The meal was very good, a real treat. Perhaps they could consider covering the cheese and jam at lunch to avoid wasps. The service in general was good. However, the pre-stay reception was less than satisfactory. I made my reservation well in advance by email in March, including a note asking if it would be possible to drop off my luggage earlier than 3 pm, as I was coming from Belgium. It was much easier for me. I sent emails and made phone calls. I left my contact information, but they didn't call me back. I understand that the hotel has a lot to manage, but the least they could do is call the customer back and answer their question. Overall, the hotel in Cormatin is good, but in my opinion, there are many areas for improvement. Best regards.
A charming and well maintained authentic hotel situated in a pleasant village. We felt very comfortable - starting the day off in a nice atmosphere with a nice breakfast was very pleasant.. You will find a very nice choice of freshly prepared meals and a good selection of beverages - and a lovely choice of ice-cream. Having a drink on the terrace was so nice and relaxing. A very pleasant experience we have enjoyed a lot.
Great location, charming old house, very pleasant restaurant, top-notch food and service. The problem with room 110: tiny bathroom, very difficult access to the shower (you have to wriggle!!!!) unacceptable in a 3☆. Too bad, I would gladly return to this establishment, provided I had another room!!!! In addition, there was no electrical outlet near the bed, and I have a respirator, and I wouldn't have been able to use it.

Nice little hotel. Excellent food. Helpful staff. Small room but comfortable bedding. The hotel is showing its age; cleanliness could be improved (for example, dusty corners in the bathroom). Overall, a good stay.
