We did not stay. We had booked on the internet and were very disappointed on arrival. Poor location (by a busy main road) and the reception area was dingy and unattractive. The room felt damp and unwelcoming. The surroundings were noisy and not conducive to an enjoyable stay. The host seemed anxious.

Hotel restaurant and bar closed as it was Easter Monday which was not explained when booking. reception closed on arrival with a note on the door to phone reception if we wanted to proceed with the booking
This was also a surprise to french guests as well and many who arrived took the option of leaving

I am part of the organization of a BD FESTIVAL in ST LAURENT SUR SEVRE. The authors are housed at the CHAUMIERE! they are all satisfied with the welcome, the comfort of the rooms and the "super" breakfasts. We had our "GALA" meal at La Chaumière: it was PERFECT... everyone was happy!

Hotel full of charm, mini museum on the Vendée wars. Perfect catering, the manager is very welcoming. I recommend the address, moreover access to the Puy de Fou is 10 minutes by car.

The bedroom located on the ground floor was left open by the cleaning lady. A bad smell of stale or even rising pipes persisted during the two nights of our stay.

Director of the hotel very attentive, friendly and available, we arrived very late, no problem to have the room. In the morning, had breakfast after the legal hour, but we were greeted with kindness and agreed to serve us. There aren't many hotels like this. Congratulations.

This is the second time we have stayed here. Access to the car park (off the N149) is definitely easier if one is approaching from the north west rather than the south east - I must remember that for next time! We certainly hope to visit again.

Superb room with access to a beautiful garden. Hotel very well located near Puy du Fou. The reception is very pretty and well decorated in the Vendée style. Warm and friendly welcome. The restaurant offers dishes to die for with unbeatable value for money and the breakfast buffet is delicious.

Only one flaw: double room: beds too small for 2 adults 70cm

The hotel is nice. Beds and breakfast are excellent. The owners are very welcoming. The hotel has a large car park for parking but also a very pleasant swimming pool in hot weather. Air conditioning in the bedroom would be a plus.

Just a small downside. The replacement room was not PMR as the person had told me. A little complicated to get into the shower, not too much room for my husband.

Very pleasant welcome and atmosphere. Hotel near the puy du fou and which accepts dogs. A very good breakfast that deserves the asking price. WC separated from the bathroom, which is rare. Only downside, there is no small storage unit in the bathroom.

Ideally located in the heart of the Vendée bocage, this hotel restaurant allowed us to discover the region as a star and to take advantage of the proximity of the Puy du Fou. In a green setting, this comfortable hotel combines rusticity and modernity, just like the restaurant where we enjoyed ourselves by choosing the half-board option. Discretion and efficiency of the service completed the services offered. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Cadre au milieu des arbres sympathiques. Nous n'avons pas eu besoin de la wifi, le réseau internet était bon.

Nous avions réservé cet hôtel en parti pour la piscine et il n’y avait pas d’eau dans ma piscine :-(. Repas bon mais chambre vieillote. .

Beau logis très bien tenu avec un très beau parc. Notre chambre familiale (la 11) avait été entièrement rénovée pour la partie sanitaire et salle de bain. Restaurant excellent et avec des menus variés à un prix très raisonnable.
Prix de la chambre légèrement plus élevé que dans d'autres établissements équivalent, mais c'est du à la proximité du Puy du fou.
Piscine chauffée mais un peu froide, néanmoins le mauvais temps explique probablement cela ...
