A truly wonderful little family-run hotel steeped in history. The entire building has been lovingly renovated and decorated. Every detail is perfect. The hotel restaurant is very, very good (just be sure to check the opening hours, as it's not open every evening). The breakfast is first-class, with excellent bread, exquisite croissants, and a good selection of high-quality products. Freshly squeezed orange juice is available daily. Important to know: there's no elevator, many steps, and no parking. This could be problematic for those with mobility issues. However, the nearest available parking spaces are all within a 500-meter radius, so this wasn't a problem for us. Since one person in our group has difficulty with stairs, the hotel owners were kind enough to rearrange their room at short notice and move it to the first floor. While this was still a bit of a challenge, it thankfully worked out quite well for us. The beds were excellent, and we slept very well. Overall, despite its central location in the old town, the hotel is pleasantly quiet. One minor criticism (admittedly, a very high-end one): the bathroom lacks shelves for cosmetics, etc. A small shelf by the sink would be enough to maximize the bathroom's comfort. Otherwise, everything was very, very nicely done, with a rain shower and individual design in each room. We felt very comfortable and would definitely return on another visit to Alsace. Many thanks to Catherine, Tanguy, and the entire team for a few wonderful days and excellent food.
Wonderful as always
Great family owned and operated hotel in the heart of the town of Ribeauville. The hotel is walking distance to most amenities with very comfortable and modern rooms. The restaurant offers authentic French quisine and has an excellent wine selection. The Team at the Mouton is very warm and welcoming and will see to your every need. Be advised that parking in Ribeauville is a bit challenging at times but generally not a problem. I've visited the area several times and have always parked close to the hotel.
A very warm welcome, a spacious and very well-maintained room. We rested well in a quiet and typical setting, and the bedding was perfect!

The hotel is very well located with parking available nearby. The premises are clean and the Christmas decorations are beautiful. The staff is welcoming and the breakfast buffet is impeccable.

A little help from the manager to find and carry our suitcase would have been appreciated. The breakfast coffee and fruit salad were not to be eaten!

As always, the Hotel Restaurant Du Mouton is a very good address in Ribeauvillé. Excellent and friendly service. Absolutely top-notch cuisine and wines.

Information about parking in the area was limited, in poorly pronounced English, and with an annoyed attitude. A very unpleasant experience, which undermines the overall experience.

Op moment van aankomst was de receptie gesloten maar er was vooraf voldoende gecommuniceerd hoe we het hotel konden binnengaan. Zonder probleem konden we het hotel binnengaan. De kamers, waar er een hemels zacht bed op ons wachte, waren netjes en alle info voor WIFI.... was gemakkelijk te vinden. Ook ons hondje werd in de watten gelegd, kussen en kommetje stonden klaar alsook een snoepje. S' morgens een super ontbijt met een ruime keuze en verse producten. Kortom, prima.
A warm welcome and family feel at this wonderful hotel. As welcoming of us 7 motorcyclists as well as couples and families. A great dinner - no need to look elsewhere in Ribbeauville and a lovely wine recommendation from the boss.

Very good dinner and wine selection. Rooms with a view of the square are lovely, especially the one with the whirlpool tub. But beware: There's a "Chambre Twin Comfort" that does have a window, but this window faces a very small space (1m?) directly against a concrete wall, which barely lets in any daylight, making it feel like a windowless room. And unfortunately, this isn't mentioned in the room description :-(
Passing through for a stopover evening... very beautiful establishment in the middle of a very beautiful Alsatian setting... Splendid room, decorated with excellent taste. Very good food and impeccable service. I highly recommend it!

An amazing accommodation, incredibly tastefully decorated to reflect 'French village' décor. After a long drive nothing better than the bath in my ENORMOUS room, a great glass of wine and 'table d'hôte' dinner.
A workout in the fully equipped Pilates space in the morning was a perfect kick start to a long drive to my next hotel.
Highly recommend staying - Julie goes out of her way to make sure everything is incredible and the bed linen is incredible, guaranteeing a perfect night's sleep

Two regrets: - the average and unfriendly welcome in the establishment - the excessively long wait in the restaurant (1 hour watch in hand to be served) without any attention to make the customer wait.

It was not our first time there and we will be back
We had booked two rooms, but only one had been reserved. However, it was eventually sorted out after some time, and we were given some nice rooms. That said, the rooms were advertised as having air conditioning, but it was not turned on, even though it was 40°C outside!
On the other hand, the price for the stay was very reasonable.

The personal service to guests is disappointing. The hostess is bossy and unwilling to inquire about the guests' well-being. I reserved a table for my arrival day using the online booking form. However, the restaurant was closed on Wednesday, and I received no response or alternative restaurant suggestion. The entire area seems to be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We tried several restaurants, but we simply don't want to eat sauerkraut with pork knuckle in the summer heat of 30°C. It's just disgusting! For breakfast, for which your establishment charges an extra 15 euros, one should expect fresh fruit and berries in the summer. Apples, oranges, and canned fruit are not what you'd expect from a fine dining establishment. There were no boiled eggs or milk alternatives. The scrambled eggs were inedibly spongy and tasteless. There was also a waitress (a euphemism for underage) working there who didn't even greet the guests with a smile or a "good day." Why do young people have to vent their adolescent frustrations in the service sector first thing in the morning?!

A very warm welcome immerses you in the spirit of an Alsatian home. The bedding is of the highest standards, the amenities are very reasonable, and the whirlpool bath really adds that little extra to the experience. The hotel's restaurant is very gourmet and affordable. I highly recommend it!

A very nice, well-appointed room with interesting amenities available such as a minibar, a coffee machine and a spacious shower as well as a long mirror. The mattress was very comfortable, which is generally complicated for me who has back pain most of the time. We just had some difficulty operating the towel dryer due to our inexperience😂Breakfast with choice and good quality products. Very good consideration from the staff regarding my gluten intolerance as a celiac (of course it is imperative to inform the hotel of this type of restriction in advance so that it is possible for the managers to adapt and prepare for the arrival). And of course, top-notch staff!
The owners of the hotel are very welcoming and professional with a high degree of attention to detail. Food and service in the dining room are excellent; reservations are advised as the place fills up, even in a weeknight.
