Setting, exceptional service, close to perfection👌
Very nice hotel, the establishment is nicely decorated, and the staff very welcoming and helpful. On the other hand, 2 big negative points, the 1st: the soundproofing which is non-existent. We hear all the discussions from the neighboring rooms, and at night we have the impression of sleeping with our neighbor on the landing (snoring ....) 2nd: the lack of accessibility for people with reduced mobility. As for the hotel restaurant "l'Amphitryon" it is superb. The dishes are beautiful, good, the cuisine is inventive. On the other hand, I would have liked better support from the sommelier.

A centrally located hotel very convenient for the cathedral.The major drawback is finding somewhere to unload a car without getting a police ticket.using the hotel parking facility is a must and it’s tight in there.The room was adequate but with a minuscule shower room/facility.The restaurant is fine and perhaps better than one would expect from a Logis hotel.

Neat hotel in downtown Chartres, Room and bathroom a little small but clean and good bedding. View of the cathedral (3 blocks away) and parking optional. Shower curtain not very effective (they should put up a partition) Friendly and efficient staff. Very good restaurant not too expensive compared to the standing. A nice cocktail bar. Ask before where the drop-off point for the car is (on a street on the right, in fact), the time to check-in as it is not possible to stop in front of the hotel

Wonderful hotel near Chartres. Restaurant is also recommended.
Use of the private parking was needed which was only 80m away, the location of the hotel is only a short walk from the town centre.
The restaurant is excellent, we would eat here again even if we weren't staying at the hotel, the staff were very professional in the service and the served with care and attention, the food was delicious.
The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The private parking booked in April was questioned by the receptionist and we had to prove the booking by showing him the email sent from the hotel to me. Otherwise the facilities and evening food and breakfast were superb.
The customer service was amazing. One of our bicycles had broken and they helped us get a replacement, and then after we had departed they helped us ship the broken bicycle back to the UK. Thankyou for all your help. You enabled us to continue our holiday

Extremely well situated hotel in a town with much to offer to the passing tourist. Hotel was smart and clean, and the restaurant offered good food, both staffed by a welcoming and friendly team. As the hotel is an older building I guess, the elevator is very 'cozy' indeed but the hotel itself, the decor and other amenities I found very pleasant and up to date. Shower space was also very tight - but the shower itself was good. I also would have preferred the hotel parking, which is not on site, to be free rather than chargeable, but it was extremely close to the hotel [and the cathedral]. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Overall, I would be happy to stay there again.

Reservation for 2 nights, the L'Amphytrion restaurant is really very good, the service attentive and efficient, the pleasant setting. The breakfast served in the dining room offers a complete offering. We also enjoyed our experience at the cocktail bar. The extra parking is a real advantage in the center of Chartres, parking being very complicated in this city! The downside comes from the room, door opening directly onto the corridor, without airlock or entrance, bathroom certainly renovated but far from being impeccable, we smell the DIY and patching, rickety toilet and unsuitable toilet seat, electrical installation under rods poorly adjusted electrics, not inspiring confidence. Too bad there is such a gap between the restaurant, the welcome, the service, the bar, the setting and the quality of the rooms...

Well located hotel
This is a beautiful hotel, with a wonderful atmosphere right across from the cathedral. I tried emailing a few times before we arrived to ask about parking and to book a table in the restaurant but didn't receive a reply. It transpired both had booked when we got there... so my message had been received. In the restaurant we ordered three courses and the food was good but our third course didn't arrive. We asked a young waiter after waiting twenty five minutes for this third course and then another ten minutes later it still wasn't there, so we left. We had also been hoping to order more wine to accompany our desert and cheese but didn't get the chance. It seemed that the restaurant had become very busy with people who seemed to know the staff and we were suddenly invisible. I couldn't understand how they were struggling though as there were so many waiters. It's a shame as this is a really lovely place with good food and all the staff were very polite and friendly ... just disorganised. I want to leave this feedback as the place has the propensity to be excellent. Also we found out that their parking spaces weren't really big enough for a 4x4 so we reserved at Q space carpark some 200 metres away which wasn't a problem .... just mentioning this for people with reduced mobility

Very poorly soundproofed hotel, the services are not up to the price (very small room and bathroom) In addition to the noise of other customers (footsteps, conversations and others) we had karaoke music loudly until 1 a.m. 😤 and this even after calling reception. If you want to sleep in a hotel, that seems legitimate to me, and run away.

We have stayed many times over the years at this hotel. We like the bar.though a little expensive and the restaurant is good. Staff always helpful and friendly. Having car parking is necessary.
the hotel is very well located, the room was pretty and spacious, the parking at €9 per day is perfect and a stone's throw from the hotel. The only downside is that the room is moderately insulated and the breakfast could be more varied. Despite everything, the hotel was very beautiful and it was a pleasant stay for a first visit to Chartres.

Stayed here in the past and have always enjoyed the hotel , but the room was very small , stayed for four nights and there was hardly any room to hang clothes , the shower was tiny and had to be very careful that the water didn't go all over the floor , also a horrible smell coming from the sink when you ran the tap

We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the prompt and satisfactory fulfillment of our special requests. Valuable tips from the employees for the stay and the visits, for example the media library, made our stay special. The cozy little room offered a wonderful view of Chartres Cathedral. The charm of the hotel lies in the mix of old and new, be it in the decoration as well as in the furnishings. The location is very good for visiting the sights; we were able to leave the car in the nearby hotel garage on all days. The associated restaurant has top-class cuisine and very attentive service. This hotel is a charming establishment, you can feel that it is owner-managed. We felt very comfortable.
Very pleasant hotel on a human scale, quiet despite its location in the city center with a superb view of the cathedral. Respectful, discreet, smiling staff. As for the restaurant, it's a gem! Both by the decoration of the room and by the quality of the dishes and wines. An unforgettable experience!

We had an excellent stay at the Le Boeuf Crowne hotel. We particularly appreciated the welcome, the very cozy atmosphere of the hotel and enjoyed having a drink at the Christie's bar. The family room is very pleasant and spacious, the bedding is excellent. Breakfast is very well served. Finally, the hotel is perfectly located in the city. THANKS !

We loved the location of this hotel, from where we could walk to the central square, Chartres cathedral and historical center, great restaurants, the Chartres train station and to our paid underground parking site where our car was stored safely. We stayed in two different rooms - the triple comfort including two rooms and a double comfort room next door. Both rooms were decorated and supplied with care and cleaned daily, and we enjoyed very friendly and helpful service from the front desk. The downsides to this hotel were the bathrooms - a bit outdated, also smaller than those we saw in other hotels and the lack of air conditioning during the unexpected September heatwave! Understandable in such a historic building, but uncomfortable because when the windows are open, traffic noise is unavoidable. Unfortunately the double glazing was not sufficient to keep out traffic noise from the buses and motorcycles passing in the main street in front of the hotel, and in the end we did not sleep well. Clearly the hotel has no control over the routes the city sends its buses, but it is very unfortunate that orange city buses are idling their noisy engines for hours on end in the "quiet" street behind the hotel. Why these buses can not switch their engines off when they are not transporting passengers, beggars belief.

Unfortunately the room was just as warm as the outside temperature. There is a fan - but it doesn't help in this case either. It's just a nice old hotel without air conditioning. We've been there twice and will be back! The restaurant and service are great!

Excellent retro style structure. I prefer modern decor, but I was still satisfied. The only flaw is the duvet. It was too hot and perhaps a mid-season blanket would have been better.

All very well, from the welcome to the kindness of the staff. Hotel very close to the city center and easy to access. The only difficulty, due to the summer season, was the lack of air conditioning in the room which was, probably due to its exposure, really very hot. A pedestal fan, which was also very noisy, partially solved the problem but we turned it off at night and slept with the window open.
Reception and restaurant staff very efficient, helpful and super friendly. The hotel room was extremely small, crammed and without a/c, an absolute must in the price range today. Bathroom was the size of a pocket handkerchief, the size of shower just about big enough for skeletons.

In the heart of Chartres, perfect for an evening tour of the illuminated city. Small but nice rooms with the possibility of a view of the cathedral. We just need more attention to cleanliness, but the structure is absolutely comfortable and pleasant.

This property is so sweet and the staff was exceptional. We had an incredible view and were able to park securely near by. We came to Chartres for a friend's wedding and while I would say if you absolutely need to use an elevator this hotel may be a bit challenging ( I was thinking of my parents during our stay), as the lift is quite small. This hotel is cute, quaint, a perfect location, and while it wouldn't fall into a luxury category, you can certainly see the charm and incredible value when you stay.

Difficulty in communicating with most of the workers in English. Poor customer service. Upon returning to the hotel at night and asking for my room key I was denied entry because the worker could not find my last name and room number in the system. Instead of giving the option of a system glitch or miscommunication due to his level of English, I was questioned as to whether I was staying at the hotel, making me feel that I had made a mistake. The front desk worker pointed me out the door to the street inviting me to leave the hotel, which was totally unacceptable.
The treatment was awkward and unnecessary and not helpful in maintaining close communication. They are not agile in the service, the cleanliness of the room was insufficient and the bathroom very small and outdated. The only good thing, the location and decoration of the reception and restaurant.
Easy place for access to convention center.
I stayed in this hotel many years ago when I was a teenager. I remembered it was in a good location. It is now modern and stylish with a nice bar and top class restaurant. From my bedroom was a superb view of Charters cathedral. So all excellent.

Arrived by car and spent 2 days in Chartres, hotel is ideally located for visiting the cathedral and the pedestrian area. Secure garage for parking. Room is adequate, clean and good bed, bathroom a bit small, restaurant food was excellent.
Chosen for our stage on the veloscénie, it is a comfortable hotel with attentive staff. We booked the room and a table at the restaurant at the same time. The restaurant is excellent.

Le Bœuf Couronné is a quality establishment, where you feel good. We particularly appreciated the restaurant menu, with local dishes prepared with a lot of know-how and tastefully presented. The service is impeccable.
A very pleasant surprise, despite the noise from the street. A sound curtain or triple glazing would be a plus. The possibility of parking is an advantage, however anticipated sharing information on the locality of the parking lot would be interesting in order to avoid having to stop in double line The restaurant is also incredible. We will return to your establishment with pleasure.

I have a hypersensitivity to noise and had asked for a quiet room... 2 windows, 2 overlooking the rue des bus stops, and I also had the right one morning at 5:30 a.m. to change bin containers... Conclusion: customer requests are irrelevant...
The room was ready the morning of our arrival, which was very convenient, because we were offered to move in directly. The bed was very comfortable, we slept very well. Convenient for a stay in Chartres, close to everything, from the train station to the city center
It was all lovely. The bar was beautiful, and very festive ( the day before New Year’s Day. And the meal was beautifully presented and delicious
